Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Awakening

Xerion Valtheris opened his eyes to a world of fire and ruin. The sky above him was torn apart, swirling with streaks of gold and crimson, as celestial energy clashed against the soulless steel of the Machine Legion. The air was thick with the scent of scorched metal and the lingering traces of divine power.

He groaned, his body aching as he tried to move. Where am I? His fingers dug into the cracked ground beneath him, a battlefield littered with corpses—some human, others mechanical, and some… something else entirely. The remnants of gods and machines lay scattered like discarded pieces of a game he did not yet understandA flicker of blue light caught his attention. He glanced down at his arm, only to find metal entwined with flesh. His right arm was no longer human—it was something beyond that, a fusion of divine energy and advanced technology. Lines of silver circuitry pulsed beneath his skin, glowing in tandem with his racing heartbeat.

Then, he heard it.

A voice, cold and emotionless.

"Target located. Initiating termination."

Xerion turned. From the smoke and destruction, towering mechanical figures emerged—five of them, sleek and monstrous, their crimson eyes scanning him with ruthless efficiency. The Enforcersof Omega Prime.

His pulse quickened. They were here to kill him.

But before he could react, a figure blurred through the battlefield, moving like a shadow through fire. A flash of silver steel, and one of the Enforcers collapsed, sparks and oil spraying from its severed torso.

The warrior landed beside him—a man clad in a long black coat, his cybernetic blade still humming from the strike. He glanced at Xerion, smirking.

"You look lost, friend. Name's Kael Drayden. I'll explain later. Right now—" He pointed his sword at the approaching Enforcers. "We need to surviveXerion had no idea who this man was. No idea what was happening. But something deep inside told him—this was only the beginning.
