Chapter 5 - I am the one who will 'Remain'

Chapter 5

The waitress looks shocked at them and asks,

"Everything? Are you sure? Because we have a lot on our menu."

"Don't worry, my big brother here—I'm not bragging, but he can eat like a champion, a real champion."

She looks skeptically at the frail-looking young man, not really impressed. He is one of those who thinks too highly of himself.

"If you manage to eat everything on the menu, then it's all free, but if you can't, then I will punish you however I want. Do you dare to take the bet?"

The food is not normal; it's from level 7 beasts and is full of energy. Even after one dish, I am completely full, and I am a dragon kin.

"Okay, I agree, but if I win, in addition to the free food, I want you to be my servant for the rest of the day also. Do you dare?"

"You have a bet. I will be right back with the food."

"Ark, why do you want her as a servant?" Asks Melody with a stare that could put a hole between his eyebrows.

"Hehe, maybe I will get lucky tonight... and have a little bit of fun."

Then the entire restaurant felt a chill down their backs, colder than the coldest place in the universe. Everyone looks in the direction of Melody and asks themselves, Who is she? She is too powerful.

"What do you mean, big brother?"

She looks more powerful than even Rocks right now.

"I mean that I will have some people to fight tonight if I make this girl my servant. That's what fun is for me. You will see tonight what I mean."

"Ooh, okay, I was getting myself ready to go to the other dimension, but not alone, big brother."

Looking and smiling innocently, like the purest stream of water, she pulls her glowing hand back.

Why do I feel like I just dodged a really big bullet just now? I think I will read her mind a little bit.

"Big brother, if you use your powers on me—let's say, like mind reading or something like that—I will fight you to the end."

How did she know? Is this the sixth sense of women, or is it because of the quantum computers in her head? Or both? I shouldn't have told her about my telekinesis. Changing the subject, he says:

"Do you have money? Because I want to buy some new clothes."

"Of course, big brother, I'm pretty rich. Money is not a problem."

Just then, the food started coming, and it looked delicious—burgers, steaks, soups, all kinds of awesome-looking foods.

"It won't fit all on the table, so I will keep on bringing it when this is finished."

"What is your name?" Asks Ark, looking up from the food.

"I am Leah, Leah Drakon."

When Melody hears her name, she understands what Ark meant about having fun if he makes this girl his servant. While looking at her, she thinks, She really does look like her place is not here.

Nodding his head, Ark starts to eat, first slowly so he can taste the food better. Giving a thumbs up to Leah, he says,

"You should hurry and keep on bringing food."

She looks at him with a condescending face and says,

"I will go to another table to take their order. Be careful not to explode."

Walking away with not a care in the world, the bet not even crossing her mind. When she reaches another table and takes the order, she hears gasps from behind her. Feeling a sense of crisis, she turns her head, not believing her eyes. She sees Ark eating like a black hole, the food disappearing at a speed not possible for humans. She goes back to him.

"Wait, you will really explode at this rate. There is too much energy in this food for only a human to handle."

"You should worry about the table being full, and I am only starting. This much is nothing."

Watching him devour the food, she feels like rethinking her life decisions. Wait, he must be bluffing. This is not the end. She went to the kitchen to bring more food.

Around them, a circle formed, watching Ark eat, and some stealing glances at Melody. First, disbelief on their faces, then they started cheering for him. "Go! Go! Go! You've got this! You can do this! Keep going!" And Leah kept on bringing food. After half an hour, Ark was at his last steak—a giant steak from an 11th-level beast, a bite enough to fill a grown man—but he was eating at a slow pace, like a walk in the park.

Leah was watching and praying with each bite Ark took. Someone stop him, or I will have to be his servant! And like that, she watched him put the last bite in his mouth, chewing it slowly, not a care on his face.

What do I do? I can't be this guy's slave. I am the Dragon's Princess. If my family hears about this, my father will kill me. Just then, she hears Ark say:

"Do you have thoughts about breaking your word? Is this all a dragon's word is worth? I guess I thought too highly of your dragon clan."

Hearing that, she stopped everything she wanted to say. Instead,

"Master, Leah Drakon at your service."

"Good then. I want to go and buy some clothes. Lead the way."

When the people heard her name, their brains short-circuited, and then came another bomb. Did she just say, Master?

The princess of the Drakon clan—a servant to a guy? Did our hearing get bad from all this shouting? What is happening? Watching the princess leading the way like a good girl, they all thought the same thing: Big news.

When the Drakon clan hears about their princess, they will go crazy. I feel bad about what they will do to the guy. We need to stay close so we don't miss a thing.

Leah was leading the way, depressed, while Ark and Melody were smiling without a care in the world.

"Leah, did the cat get your tongue? Why aren't you saying anything? By the way, I'm Ark, and this is my little sister Melody."

"I don't have anything to say. I lost. I'll just do what you tell me to."

"Ooh, quite docile. I didn't expect that from the Dragon's Princess."

"If you know who I am, then you know you will not reach the end of this day alive."

"Do you want to bet on that?"
