"Who are they?"
A voice sounded out behind me, I turned my head to the source of the voice. It was Lisa, standing on top of the staircase with sleepy eyes and messy dark blue wavy hair. She wore a white singlet plastered to her flat tummy and perky bust.
"Oh. They are my university friends, they came by for a talk." I didn't want any of them to freak out over some crazy tall lady that ambushed me last night, this is my problem and there's no need to make them worry..
Lisa stood in her place noiselessly, seemingly processing the information she had received from me. After a few seconds, she descended down the stairs to the kitchen. As she walked across the hallway, I watched her ass swaying side to side, ass cheeks hanging out of her tiny booty shorts
I suppressed my rising bulge with both of my hands and murmured to myself, "Old granny tiddy..imagine old sagging granny tiddy swaying left and right like a pendulum." My black dragon facing the bombardment of displeasuring mental attack I inflicted was forced back to its sealed state. The attack was super effective!
I heaved a sigh of relief, the pajama pants I was wearing right now, unlike jeans, were too thin of a fabric to hide my boner. It would be too obvious if I were to not be careful.
Returning to the kitchen, I took a clean cup out of the dish rack to make myself some coffee while Lisa stood beside me, tearing an opening on the edge of the seasoning packet to add it into the half-opened cup noodle before pouring boiling hot water from the kettle. I waited patiently for my turn of the kettle.
After she was done, she held the topmost of the cup noodles with both of her thumbs and index fingers, treading carefully out of the kitchen to set the cup on the head of the dining table as she sat down while I sat on the far right seat
She set her phone's timer to three minutes and placed it beside the cup noodle that had its lid held shut by a fork on top.
As she was waiting for her noodle to soften, silence filled the air, she sat there and stared blankly at me with her black circled eyes, as though she was trying to strike up a conversation but didn't know how to.
"So….how is your work lately?" I decided to make the first move as I found her staring started to get a little bit unbearable .
Lisa upon hearing me, jumped slightly from her seat. "Good," She answered, after a moment of pondering,
Good? Only good? Can someone please save me from this suffocating conversation? This really took me back to the time when I first met the Jenkins's family, I was accompanying my mother to their house and the adults were talking while we kids were forced to play with each other or bored to death. It was all thanks to Alex's outgoing personality, she would always invite me to have fun with them and that's how I got to know all the other siblings better. But I never really talked with Lisa when we were alone, the four years age gap between us makes it much more difficult. One thing that really connected us was anime. We used to watch it together with Alex and Hannah but both of them were less interested, sometimes we would just sit quietly in the living room, fully absorbed in the world of anime.
"Erm, what field of work are you involved in?" I blurted out but regretted immediately, now I feel like the annoying aunty that wouldn't stop snooping around.
"L …Art." To my surprise, she seemed enthusiastic to answer but she quickly bit her tongue and rephrased it.
"Art? Wow, is-"
*BEEP BEEP*
Just as I wanted to ask her what sort of art she's working on, the timer on her phone rang out, indicating that the cup noodles were ready to be consumed.
Shutting the timer down, she removed the fork and flipped open the lid of the cup noodle, releasing a gush of hot steam carrying along the fragrance of curry. She quickly speared the noodle up and blew it cold before stuffing it in her mouth, her cheeks bulging out like a hamster with a mouth full of sunflower seeds.
Obviously, she had forgotten that we were having a conversation with how focused she was in slurping her noodles but I don't really mind, it is much more comfortable this way instead of forcing a conversation that nobody wants to talk about.
As I was scrolling through social media, I suddenly received a message in the family group chat. Jenkins's family group chat to be more precise.
[Alex] : Hiyaaaa, is everybody free tonight? There's a new movie out on Nutflix.
[Hannah] : Another action-packed movie?
[Alex] : Nononono, I think is about a family moving into a new neighborhood and… I dunno, I didn't read the description thoroughly. Is no fun reading it before watching the movie and I prefer being surprised. Hehehe.
[Lara] : Sounds lovely. I'm in.
[Hannah] : Let me think about it.
[Ryan] : Count me in!
[Hannah] : Fine.
[Lisa] : *Insert a sticker of a weird looking cat giving a thumb up*
[Alex] : Mommy, could you bring back some snacks from the grocery store? Pretty please?
[Lara] : *Insert a OK hand emoji*

"Heyyyyyy, I'm about to start the movie, come down already, both of you!" Alex roared from the bottom of the staircase.
"I'm coming," I replied.
I had been cooped up in my room the whole day trying to release the pink miasma the same way I did in the apartment but no matter what I tried, nothing happened. I even tried calling out Desire verbally and mentally but the result was the same. Is this some sort of defensive mechanism that I could only release in danger or it was all in my head and I got away by luck?
Heading down the stairs to the living room, I habitually went to the three seater couch and sat in the middle where I was facing the TV and beside me was Lara, she was on the far right of the couch, she likes the small table at the side where she could put her mug on it.
"Move away!"
"You move away! You muscle gorilla!"
On my left, Alex and Hannah were arguing furiously over the two seater couch, both trying to push the other away from the couch.
The two seater couch is the couch of all couches, the couch that all siblings shed blood for, the only couch you could rest your head on the armrest and lay your back flat on the couch to enjoy watching the TV or anything you want to do. Despite being a two seater, there can never be two people in that couch due to the person that sat the nearest to the TV will suffer the most, the angle was impossible, forcing those sat there to twist their head in order to watch whatever was airing on the TV. By the time the movie ends, she who sat on that seat will be left with a sore neck.
Suddenly, a burst of cold aura erupted beside me toward both of the sisters. I could feel my body stiffened and my skin crawling, without turning my head, I peeked with the corner of my eyes and what I saw shocked me to my bones. Lara, who was sitting beside me, was replaced by a dark figure, so dark that I couldn't make out her face. If it weren't for the two dark and gigantuous basketball shaped outlines protruding out of her torso, I wouldn't have recognized her.
I turned my gaze to my left, both Hannah and Alex who were attempting to push the other out of the two seater couch suddenly come to a halt, both were petrified by the freezing aura, not daring to move a muscle. But Hannah, who was less affected, realized Alex had loosen her grip on the arm of the couch. With a swift shoulder bump, Alex was pushed out of the couch to the floor and Hannah quickly lay flat on the two seater, leaving no room for Alex to sit on.
Alex, defeated in the game of couch, could only retreat to the seat beside me with a pouty mouth and her hands crossed under her breast. But anger never lasts in her. The last time we had a quarrel, she unbefriended me for about five minutes before she came running towards me, showing me some funny stuff she saw on the internet.
The pressuring aura finally dissipated and I turned my head toward Lara, finding her back to her old bubbly self, sipping on her hot tea in the mug while giving me a warming smile.
At long last, Alex started the long awaited movie after Lisa came down from her room and sat on the single seater couch on the right side of the living room. Unlike in the morning, she looked much more alive but still quiet as ever.
