Chapter 1 - The Other Bride

The grandest hotel in Mumbai was exquisitely decorated, shimmering with lights and elegance. It was no ordinary night—it was the wedding of Arnav Trivedi, the youngest son of one of the most influential families in the city.

Luxury cars lined the parking lot, each one a symbol of wealth and status. As guests stepped inside, they were greeted by a vast lawn—on one side, an elaborate dining arrangement, and on the other, a beautifully decorated stage and wedding mandap.

The mandap was adorned with red roses, their fragrance filling the air with a sweet, romantic essence. The event was graced by renowned businessmen, politicians, celebrities, and film directors, each mingling under the soft glow of fairy lights.

Reporters and cameramen from top media houses had also arrived, eager to capture every moment of the grand wedding. Suddenly, the sound of multiple car engines roaring to a stop outside the hotel drew everyone's attention.

A fleet of luxurious white cars had just arrived. The mere sight of them was enough to confirm that the Trivedi family had made their entrance. The brilliance of their arrival, the aura of power surrounding them, made it clear that they were no ordinary people.

Within seconds, a team of bodyguards emerged from the cars. Their uniforms bore the Trivedi family emblem, a mark exclusive to their security personnel. As the Trivedi family stepped out of the cars, a wave of excitement spread through the media. Cameras flashed wildly as reporters scrambled to get a glimpse of them.

But the real curiosity wasn't about the wedding itself. The real question was—why was a billionaire marrying an orphan girl?

However, the Trivedi family's highly trained security ensured that no photographs were taken without permission. They swiftly escorted the family inside the venue.

As they reached the center of the hall, Arnav's grandmother turned to the family and said, "Let's go bring Anya. The wedding muhurat (auspicious time) is about to begin, and Arnav will be here any moment."

Inside the Bride's Room

In a private room, away from the chaos, Anya stood in front of the mirror, her heart racing. Tonight was the most important night of her life. She was about to marry the love of her life, the man who had become her entire world.

She looked breathtaking—

A flawless, porcelain complexion with a natural blush, soft, velvet-like skin, and a tall, graceful figure of 5'7". Her deep, expressive black eyes held an irresistible charm, framed by long, thick lashes. Her waist-length, jet-black hair cascaded in perfect waves. She wore a stunning red and green lehenga, paired with a peach-colored dupatta draped elegantly like a saree. Her hands were adorned with intricate mehendi, and golden, red, and green bangles jingled softly as she moved. A grand necklace graced her neck, shimmering against her skin, while jhumkas swayed gently from her ears. A large maang tikka rested on her forehead, and a delicate red veil crowned her head.

She looked nothing short of a celestial beauty, an angel who had descended from heaven.

Arnav's grandmother, overwhelmed by emotion, took a moment to admire her and said, "My dear, you look so beautiful! May no evil eye fall upon you."

With that, she gently took Anya's hand and led her towards the mandap.

A Shocking Entrance

Suddenly, loud commotion erupted at the main entrance. The chaos of reporters shouting indicated that Arnav had arrived.

However, as Arnav stepped inside the wedding hall, the entire crowd fell silent. All eyes were fixated on him.

Because he wasn't alone.

Standing beside him, dressed as a bride, was another woman.

Gasps filled the room. Murmurs spread like wildfire.

A media reporter quickly grabbed the microphone and announced,

"As you can see, tonight is the grand wedding of Mumbai's most prestigious family's youngest son. But this wedding has taken an unexpected turn. Arnav Trivedi, the groom himself, has arrived with another bride! Once again, Arnav Trivedi is making headlines for his shocking actions. The question is—who will truly become Mrs. Arnav Trivedi tonight?"

Anya's world shattered.

Trembling, she stepped forward and faced Arnav. Her voice wavered as she asked, "Arnav… what is this? I don't understand… what's happening?"

Arnav smirked. He reached out and gently tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. His touch sent a shiver down her spine. His voice was calm, almost too calm.

"You know what, Anya? It's important to be honest with your life partner. No secrets, right? So, let me clear everything up right now."

He then turned slightly and pulled the mystery bride forward.

"Meet her. This is my wife, Mrs. Vedika Arnav Trivedi. I married her today… because I love her. A lot."

He then looked back at Anya, his expression cold and indifferent.

"Now it's clear, right? And with that… I am calling off this wedding. It's over."

Shattered Beyond Words

Tears streamed down Anya's cheeks. She grabbed his hand desperately and whispered, "Arnav… what happened to you? What do you mean 'it's over'... just like that?"

Her voice cracked as she continued, "You always said we were like the heart and its heartbeat. Arnav, not a moment has passed in my life where I haven't felt your presence with me. Even in my sleep, I dream of you. And now, you're telling me it's over?

Relationships are like glass, Arnav. Once broken, they leave wounds that last forever."

For a moment, Arnav simply stared at her. Then, with a mocking smile, he pretended to wipe a fake tear from his eye.

"Wow, that was such a heartbreaking story, Anya. Did you rehearse it?"

And with that, he reached for her hand. Before she could react, he slid the engagement ring off her finger.

"You see, diamonds are meant for crowns, not for unworthy fingers," he said coldly.

Then, taking off his own engagement ring, he placed it in her palm.

"Here, take it back. Your ring always annoyed me anyway."

Turning towards the media, he smirked and said,

"Everybody… good night, शुभ रात्रि, and शब्बा खैर. Take care of yourselves!"

And with that, he walked away, leaving behind a shattered bride, an incomplete love story, and an incomplete bride.
