Jihwan's body shivered. It wasn't just absorbing light—it was absorbing life.

The cursed blade whistled through the darkness, glowing faintly before piercing directly into the Light Eater's chest.

The Light Eater screeched, but its attack didn't stop. Instead, it lunged forward, tendrils wrapping around Jihwan's arms and legs.
His body froze. A chilling sensation spread through his limbs.

A system notification appeared.

A lifeline.
Jihwan gritted his teeth and immediately activated Shadow Walk, his body sinking into the darkness once again.
The tendrils tightened—but he was no longer there.
The Light Eater hesitated for a split second, confused by his sudden disappearance.
Jihwan reappeared behind it, his dagger already in hand.
He didn't hesitate.
With all his remaining strength, he drove the blade into the Light Eater's core—straight through the wound he had already inflicted.
A burst of dark energy erupted from the impact.

The Light Eater convulsed violently, its body spasming as the darkness consumed it from within.
Its screams echoed throughout the dungeon, its massive form flickering like a dying flame.

Silence.
The creature collapsed, its body dissolving into nothingness.
A system message appeared before Jihwan's eyes.

Jihwan exhaled sharply, his body trembling from exhaustion. His hands were numb, his vision blurred.
But he had done it.

Jihwan stared at the shimmering weapon that had appeared before him. A long blade, glowing faintly in the darkness, humming with an unfamiliar power.
