Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 Why Not Replace the Minister with an Obedient One?

"The alder wand, with a unicorn tail hair core, 9 inches long."

With one look, Ollivander identified the material composition of the wand. At the same time, the information of the wand's owner just blurted out of his mouth. "This wand belongs to Quirinus Quirrell. I heard that he was chosen as the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts this year.

How come his Quirrell wand is here? And it's cracked! Luckily, it's not damaged beyond repair!"

Ollivander cherished wands very much and couldn't stand seeing a damaged wand. With that in mind, he wanted to take the Quirrell wand and figure out a repair plan.

Unexpectedly, Dudley directly took the wand back and put it back into the inner pocket of his coat.

Are you kidding me! If you fix the wand, the rating of the wand will be bumped up to Class A!

The fusion cost will shoot through the roof!

How can I complete my spell quick - learning plan?

"Mr. Ollivander, you just need to give me a certification document! This wand is involved in a major matter and doesn't need to be repaired!"

Dudley put on a serious, official look. Ollivander couldn't say anything more. He had no option but to walk behind the counter, take out a piece of parchment, and start scribbling.

Excellent wand makers all possess good carving and painting skills. This can be seen from the fact that thousands of wands in the store have their own unique shapes.

Even for wands made of similar materials, Ollivander would give each of them a unique look.

So, after a while, Mr. Ollivander, relying on his memory, drew the cracked Quirrell wand on the parchment. It was so lifelike that it was almost identical to the original.

Then he noted the material composition of the wand and its owner on the paper. Finally, Mr. Ollivander signed his name and added a unique family crest using a bit of magic power.

A simple yet effective certification document was completed.

"Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Ollivander!"

Dudley reached out and snatched the parchment at lightning speed. Then he casually thanked him and took Harry away.

By the time Mr. Ollivander came to his senses, the two brothers had already opened the door and left the store.

Suddenly, he felt a sense of unease. Remembering Dudley's technique, he closed his eyes and concentrated on feeling the lives and wills of the thousands of wands in the store.

One minute, ten minutes, half an hour, one hour...

Whether Mr. Ollivander managed to communicate with the wands in the store, Dudley didn't care.

Anyway, the benefits were already in hand without spending a single Knut.

After walking out of the wand shop, he and Harry saw Hagrid looking mournful and Dumbledore deep in thought.

"What's wrong, Hagrid? Did you lose your money?"

Dudley joked. After a hearty rant and a rewarding con, he was in a much better mood.

However, it seems that happiness is a fixed amount. Where there's laughter, there's bound to be tears.

"No, Dudley. It's much more serious than that. Minister Cornelius Fudge simply doesn't believe me and Dumbledore. He's a complete muddlehead. He doesn't admit that Voldemort has returned, nor does he believe that I'm innocent!"

Hagrid said gloomily.

After removing the stain of Dumbledore in his heart, the poor half-giant still couldn't get out of his depression.

"Is this Minister Cornelius Fudge really powerful? More powerful than the 'great Dumbledore'?"

Dudley said sarcastically. As he spoke, he took out a brand-new suitcase given by a robe shop from one of the magical trolleys parked beside the road.

"Oh~ Dudley, of course not. No one is more powerful than Professor Dumbledore. Even Voldemort wouldn't claim so."

Hagrid answered without thinking. In his heart, Dumbledore was infinitely lofty.

"What about prestige? Does this Minister Cornelius Fudge have greater influence than the 'great Dumbledore'?"

Dudley continued. By now, he had already opened the suitcase. Holding the Poplar Wood Wand that was most compatible with him, he aimed it at the space inside the suitcase.

"That's impossible!" Hagrid said. "Professor Dumbledore has unparalleled influence both at home and abroad."

"Then why are you still here looking downcast and lost in thought? Are you out of your mind? If this minister doesn't listen to reason, then find a minister who will!"

Dudley said something astonishingly calmly.

He really couldn't understand Dumbledore's way of thinking. This old man seemed to abide by the law, but he would occasionally use his strength and status to break some rules. For example, he forcefully protected Hagrid who was framed, or allowed the goblins in Gringotts to compensate Dudley with a fire dragon.

He seemed to do as he pleased, but at crucial moments, he couldn't be tough enough on major issues. With his great strength, he timidly became a compromiser, making himself feel frustrated, his teammates frustrated, and giving the enemy the time and opportunity to develop secretly.

"This isn't right, Dudley! I can't do this. You..."

Dumbledore, who was deep in thought, was shocked when he heard Dudley's bold words.

He quickly scanned the area around him. Seeing that there were no other wizards around, he instinctively vetoed Dudley's idea out of his habitual thinking and still wanted to correct the wrong ideas in this talented yet lawless wizard's mind with words.

But Dudley didn't hear what he wanted to hear. Completely ignoring Dumbledore, he directly started casting spells, interrupting Dumbledore's nonsense.

[Unplottable Extension]

Dudley waved his wand at the suitcase and recited the incantation. He was imitating Hagrid's spell-casting process earlier.

The [Unplottable Extension] is an advanced spell and is under the approval and control of the Ministry of Magic. There is no relevant tutorial in the spell book Mr. Diggory bought for Dudley. So this was Dudley's first attempt at practicing, and he skipped the theory part and went straight to hands-on operation.

"A crackling sound came."

Dudley's wand emitted a spark that smoked and then quickly died out. Obviously, he had failed.

"Dudley, your pronunciation is wrong, and the way you wave your wand is incorrect too."

Dumbledore stopped talking about the meaningless topic. As if he had understood something, he watched Dudley's operation and started to give guidance like a teacher.

This time, Dudley didn't ignore Dumbledore and seriously started learning.

He was a practical person and wouldn't give up an opportunity to improve his strength because of things like face and emotions.

After some guidance, Dudley managed to cast the Unplottable Extension spell quite impressively. The interior space of the suitcase suddenly expanded to a hundred cubic meters, resembling a small room.

However, perhaps because of lack of proficiency or insufficient skills, the expanded space couldn't be sustained permanently. It could only last for a week, not meeting Dudley's expectations.

Dumbledore could tell what Dudley was thinking. Without saying a word, he picked up the Elder Wand and pointed it at the suitcase in mid-air.

"Unplottable Extension! Weight Reduction! Preservation! Permanent Spell!"

It was a smooth sequence of spells, with no effort at all.

Dudley watched helplessly as an ordinary suitcase was instantly transformed into a C-rank magic item.

Inside, not only was a large space of one thousand cubic meters permanently secured, but also the items stored inside would never decay and wouldn't affect the weight of the suitcase itself.

It was truly a top-quality storage item!

"Great!"

Dudley exclaimed. Then he stuffed all five fully loaded magic trolleys into the suitcase. These were all the belongings he and Harry had bought, except for Hedwig, who was locked in a birdcage.

Harry was worried that his pet and messenger would feel stuffy in the box, so he just carried the cage in his hand.

After finishing packing, Dudley picked up the magic suitcase, turned to Dumbledore, and issued an ultimatum before leaving.
