Chapter 1 - Weird Talk Apartment Fun Rules 2

Lin Fan stands in front of his old apartment, the sunset casting long shadows behind him. The mottled apartment in a remote corner of town seemed to hold a million secrets. The copper ring on the front door reflects a faint glow, as if it is silently telling a story of the past. He took a deep breath and pushed the heavy gate open. The gate made a dull noise and rose with a cloud of dust, as if to welcome him.

As he entered the apartment, he was greeted by an unpalpable smell of dust and coughed softly. In the dimly lit corridor, the mottled cracks in the walls looked even more ferocious in the light. Now and then he could hear his own footsteps echoing between the empty rooms as he walked along the corridor. Every now and then there was a slight creaking sound, like some creature peeping in the shadows. He shuddered, and a faint sense of panic crept into his heart. He felt a chill rise from the soles of his feet, and the stale smell filled the air, as if even time had stood still.

Lin Fan turned on his flashlight, and the light cast long shadows at the end of the corridor, making everything look extra eerie. He kept walking inside and finally reached the management office. The room was piled with clutter and books, and a desk was strewn with a few sheets of paper. He thumbed through a stack of papers, trying to make sense of them, only to find them cluttered with no rhyme or reason. Suddenly he pulled out from among them a pamphlet with a somewhat yellow cover, on which was written the "Rules of Joy."

He opened the page at random. It contained such seemingly absurd rules as "The cellar clock must be rung three times on the first day of the month at three o 'clock in the morning," and "There must be a merry dance in the middle of the garden at exactly twelve o 'clock at midnight." Lin Fan frowned, struggling to understand the significance of such rules. But to find out what was going on in the apartment he had taken over, he decided to keep studying the manual.

He slipped the manual into his bag and got up to head to the basement to examine it. The basement entrance at the end of the corridor was ajar, and there was a faint blue light. Lin Fan took a deep breath and slowly pushed the door open. The inside of the basement was unusually damp. The air smelled stale. Moisture filled the air, as if it were hard to breathe. He shone his flashlight around, and there were old oil paintings on the walls and a rusted statue in the corner. He walked carefully to the big clock and tried to follow the instructions in the manual.

He had just finished the third strike when there was a dull noise from the basement and he took a few steps back. Then a tile on the wall slipped, revealing a small, hidden hole. Curious, he leaned in to investigate and found a thin diary hidden inside. The diary was clearly old, the paper yellowed and badly frayed around the edges. He gently pulled out the diary and leafed through it carefully. It contained strange accounts of the apartment's rituals and the lives of its residents, some of them bizarre. As Lin Fan read these words, his heart beat faster and a chill rose from the bottom of his feet.

He felt an inexplicable pressure to keep digging for the truth, but he was also afraid to face possible danger. Lin Fan looked up at the ceiling, where moonlight was streaming in through the cracked glass window, casting a messy shadow on the ground. He took a deep breath and decided to put the mystery aside for the night and ask Old Li what was going on.

Lin Fan stepped out of the basement, locked the door and walked briskly down the corridor back to the management office. He knocked gently on the door, then opened it and walked in. He found Lao Li sipping tea. Lao Li was over 60 years old, with graying hair and bright eyes. He was wearing a light gray long gown and looked very elegant. Lao Li smiled and said gently, "You're just in time. I was just wondering how the apartment has been since you took it over."

Lin Fan told Lao Li all about her experience, including the strange rules, the footsteps she heard and what she found in the basement. As he spoke, he felt a chill come over him, as if all those memories had been awakened in an instant. Lao Li thought for a moment and then said slowly, "These rules are indeed strange. But now that you have taken over, you must prepare yourself."

He pointed to a pile of debris in the corner and said, "There are some old newspapers and magazines over there. Perhaps you can find some clues in them." Lin Fan looked in the direction Lao Li pointed. Sure enough, he saw piles of old newspapers and magazines. He went over and leafed through some of them, hoping to find some clues. Each old newspaper he found had some history about the apartment, and some stories about the people who lived there. But other than that, he did not find much useful information. However, he did notice that some of the dates in the newspaper were very strange, as if by design.

Lin Fan kept rummaging and suddenly came across a photo of a group of people dancing in the garden of the apartment, everyone laughing happily. The picture intrigued Lin Fan, who looked at it more closely. He realized that these people might be doing the kind of dance mentioned in the manual. He tucked the picture into his diary, intending to study it in detail later.

Just then, there was a sudden sound of hurried footsteps, followed by a knock at the door. Lin Fan gave Lao Li a puzzled look, and Lao Li also shook his head blankly. Lin Fan got up to open the door and saw a girl named Xiao Mei standing at the door. She was a lively and cheerful girl with short hair and a curious glint in her eyes. Her arrival brought a spark of energy to the room. As soon as Xiao Mei entered the room, she said excitedly, "I heard you are the new caretaker. My name is Xiao Mei and I live here. You can ask me any questions you want."

Lin Fan smiled and thanked her. Xiao Mei looked at the scattered papers on her desk and asked, "What are you studying?" Lin Fan briefly explained the situation to her and mentioned the "Joy Code." Xiao Mei listened with interest and even volunteered to help. She picked up a magazine, scanned it quickly, and soon found a useful clue.

Pointing to a passage of text, Xiao Mei said excitedly: "Here is a mention of an activity related to the garden, perhaps to help you find more clues." After reading it carefully, Lin Fan found that the passage seemed to be related to certain rules in the manual. He looked up at Xiao Mei gratefully and exclaimed, "Thank you, Xiao Mei, without your help, I might not have found this key information at all."

Xiao Mei waved her hand and said with a smile, "Don't mention it. We are all neighbors. We should help each other." There was a firmness in her eyes. "We will solve this problem together."

As the night thickens, Lin Fan and Xiao Mei return to the garden in search of the secret that relates to the dance described in the diary. They scrutinized every corner, looking for possible clues. The moonlight shone in every corner of the garden, setting off a quiet scene. The leaves sway gently in the night wind, making a rustling sound as if they were saying something. The small pool in the middle of the garden glinted silver in the moonlight and was surrounded by strange symbols and designs that looked like signs of some ancient ritual. Lin Fan and Xiao Mei exchanged a look, and a strong sense of curiosity welled up in both hearts.

Just then, a cold wind blew and the leaves rustled. The two men shuddered, and a chill filled the air. Lin Fan picked up his phone to take a picture, trying to capture the traces. He carefully photographed each symbol, hoping to find some clues. Xiao Mei crouched down and looked at the symbols carefully, trying to analyze their meaning. She gently stroked the stone surfaces, feeling the traces of age. Suddenly, her fingers touched a protruding stone that felt something unusual. The stone made a dull noise as she pressed it down, and then a slab of stone beside the pool moved slowly, revealing a small hidden hole.

Lin Fan and Xiao Mei exchanged a look of surprise, and then they bent down to look carefully inside the hole. Inside were some dusty objects, including several broken puppets and a yellowed notebook. Lin Fan picked up the puppets and felt that they had a rather rough feel and were clearly handmade. He looked closely at the puppets and noticed that their expressions were vivid and interesting, as if each one had its own story. Xiao Mei eagerly opened the notebook and found that it had recorded some mysterious ritual steps and the use of related objects. She flicked through the pages and noticed that the rituals seemed to be closely related to the history of the apartment and its strange rules. Lin Fan and Xiao Mei's eyes met in unison, and they realized that these discoveries might change their understanding of the apartment.

Soon after Lin Fan took over the apartment, a series of bizarre events began to unfold. Every night before he fell asleep, he would hear a small noise at the end of the hallway, like a pair of slippers walking slowly by, or soft footsteps. Sometimes he heard murmurs, sounds as thin as gnats, but they unsettled him. He tried to follow the sound, but he could never find its true source. When he woke up the next day, he found his notebook missing from his desk, and the book of Strange Tales of the World on his bookshelf had somehow appeared on his bedside table. All this made Lin Fan feel an invisible pressure hanging over his head.

Residents have also begun to talk, questioning Lin Fan's abilities. Some whispered that he was the cause of the trouble. Xiao Mei is a careful girl and often offers to help with some chores. She noticed that the residents in her apartment were becoming increasingly grim-faced and distant from each other. One night, she secretly asked Lin Fan, "Do you feel the atmosphere here has changed? People don't seem to believe you very much."

Lin Fan feels more pressure than ever as he struggles to adapt to his new environment while dealing with unexpected events. The atmosphere inside the apartment becomes increasingly tense, and the relationship between the residents becomes more delicate. Lin Fan decided to ask Lao Li for help. After all, Lao Li has lived in the apartment for many years and knows everything there. Li, who lived on the third floor, was polishing an old-fashioned flashlight when Lin knocked on the door to enter.

"Lao Li, I've been hearing strange noises lately, and sometimes I've noticed things moving inexplicably." Lin Fan cut to the chase.

Lao Li put down his flashlight and motioned for Lin Fan to sit down. His eyes were deep, as if he had anticipated it. "Lin Fan, there are a lot of unanswered questions in this apartment, I'll help you, but you have to prepare yourself." Lao Li's voice is low and strong, with an unmistakable firmness.

Late at night, Lin Fan was strolling along the hallway of his apartment alone when he heard footsteps. Looking back, he saw a figure dressed in white floating by. Lin Fan felt a chill, but the figure showed no malice. He summoned his courage and followed, but the figure in white disappeared around the corner. Lin Fan stopped and looked around but saw nothing.

The next day, Lin Fan found Lao Li again and described his experience in detail. Lao Li nodded, "It may be some 'ghost' in the apartment, but don't worry, they mean no harm." Lao Li's words gave Lin Fan a glimmer of comfort, but they also made him more confused.

Lin found that many residents had doubts about him, and there were even rumors that he was one of the reasons for the abnormal phenomena in the apartment. The suspicions put Lin under pressure. He tried to explain, but the residents' expressions were cold. It was clear they didn't believe him. Xiao Mei noticed this and decided to help Lin Fan solve the problem. She found several residents, patiently explained Lin's work to them, and tried to convince them to trust Lin. But the effect was not obvious.

Lin Fan and Xiao Mei discussed in the management office, and the atmosphere became increasingly heavy. "Lin Fan, we need to take action to prove that we are not the ones causing trouble," said Xiao Mei. Lin Fan nodded in agreement, but deep down he still felt uneasy. He picked up the notebook on his desk and looked at the strange rules and rituals, feeling even more confused.

At the same time, Ah Hua joined them. He is a man of few words, but can always provide useful clues when the chips are down. He said, "Lin Fan, I have heard that there is a secret room with some hidden things in it. Perhaps we can find a clue from there." Lin Fan and Xiao Mei exchange a surprised look and then decide to find out.

As the night thickens, Lin Fan, Xiao Mei and Ah Hua quietly come to the basement entrance. Ah Hua turned on the light, and a faint light shone into the pitch-black space. As they made their way down the dim passageway, a damp, musty smell filled the air. Every now and then the wind blew through, shaking the cobwebs on the walls and making a slight rustling sound. Lin Fan felt a chill rise from his back, as if every step was stepping into the void, filled with the unknown and the mysterious.

Suddenly, Lin Fan stopped. He heard a slight noise ahead of him. He motioned for the others to stop, held their breath, and listened. The sound came closer and closer, until it became a soft step. Lin Fan clenched his fists, trying to stay calm. He turned slowly to see a white palm sticking out of the darkness. Lin Fan's heart suddenly moved and he realized that it was Ah Hua's hand. Ah Hua whispered, "Come here quickly. There is a room here."

When they entered the room, they saw that it was filled with antiques and documents, as if it were a hidden secret base. Lin Fan found a lot of clues in the secret room, which provided important evidence for him to uncover the answer to the mystery. He found some broken puppets and a yellowed notebook. The clues left him feeling both excited and confused.

Lin Fan and Lao Li walk through a dark corridor with a faint light at the end. The lights on both sides of the wall flickered and swayed as if they were about to go out. There was a damp, musty smell in the air that made one frown. The ground beneath them made a slight noise as they made their way along the narrow passage, as if even the ground had become sensitive because it had not been traversed for so long.

At last they came to a secret room with a closed iron door. The iron door was heavy and cold, and covered with the signs of age. Lin Fan's fingers trembled slightly as he pulled out the spare key he had stolen from the security guard. He turned the key gently, as if he was afraid it would make too much noise. With a soft crack, the iron door opened slowly, the smell of dust came on his face, and the air was filled with a depressing and mysterious atmosphere.

The chamber is filled with antiques, each with an old but unique glow. The old China quietly lying on the shelf, the glaze is mottled, as if telling the glory of the past; The exquisite bronzes glowed green in the light, as if they hid countless unsolved mysteries; Rusted swords leaned aside as if they had been in the thick of battle. The walls are covered with papers documenting the apartment's history, as well as notes from previous administrators.

Lao Li reached out to pick up a document, his eyes gradually serious. "The previous caretaker seems to have been on the trail of an outlaw gang who were trying to steal the antiques. And..." He paused, then added, "And he mentioned some strange things."

Lin Fan moved closer to read the words on the document. "Like? "He whispered.

Mr. Li took a deep breath, his voice deep and worried. "He said there was some powerful force behind the antiques that could protect the apartment from being damaged. He tried to expose the lawless gang, but in the end it disappeared."

Lin Fan was silent for a moment, then nodded, a firmness twinkling in his eyes. "If the outlaw gang really wanted the antiques, then it is likely that their target was the precious antique. The antique that is said to protect the apartment."

Lao Li looked at Lin Fan and nodded: "Yes, we have to find it. Otherwise, everyone in the apartment will be in danger."

Back in the common area of the apartment, Lin Fan makes a beeline for the corner where Ah Hua and Xiao Mei are. At this point, the glow of the setting sun pours into the room through the window, giving the space a warm golden hue. Ah Hua was sitting by the window, the sun casting a soft glow on his face, his hands on his cheeks, eyes looking out of the window; Xiao Mei buried herself in the books on the shelf, and occasionally looked up out of the window, as if she were also deep in thought.

When the two met Lin Fan, they immediately dropped what they were doing and their eyes were full of anticipation.

"Have you made any new discoveries?" "Ah Hua asked first, a hint of urgency in his voice.

Lin Fan shook his head, then nodded again: "I went to the underground chamber and found many clues left by the previous administrator." His words were tinged with uncertainty, but also a hint of firmness.

"He's been on the trail of an outlaw gang trying to steal antiques, and the object is the piece that is rumored to protect the apartment." Lin Fan added.

Xiao Mei frowned, slightly worried: "So what should we do now?"

"We need to find that antique and make sure it's safe." "But before we do that, we need to make sure we're safe. Those lawbreakers won't give up easily."

"So how do we start? "Ah Hua asked.

"First, we have to identify the places where those outlaws might be hiding. Secondly, we need to develop a detailed plan to deal with them in a timely manner should they move, "he said. Lin Fan replied earnestly.

"Ok, let's divide the labor first." Hua nodded, then put forward a specific plan, "I am responsible for secretly monitoring the situation inside and outside the apartment, pay attention to any suspicious behavior. Lin Fan and Xiao Mei can continue to investigate other clues."

Xiao Mei nodded gently, and her eyes flashed with determination: "OK, we must protect this apartment."

Looking at the group, Lin Fan felt a sense of unity. He took a deep breath and said firmly: "We can definitely do it. Now, let's do it!"

As time goes on, the collaboration between Lin Fan and Ah Hua and Xiao Mei becomes even closer. They gradually build up a deep trust in the process of communicating with each other. Lin Fan got quite a bit of information from Ah Hua about the apartment's internal structure, while Xiao Mei provided some valuable clues to help them better understand what the previous administrator had been through. Whenever they sit around the small round table in the common area, the trio's conversation is always accompanied by bursts of warm laughter and easy playful laughter.

In the process, Lin Fan's emotions also subtly changed. At first, he was skeptical and wary of such things, but now, he has fully committed himself to the task. He has come to understand and respect everyone, including the seemingly humble residents. Although their lives are ordinary, each of them has their own unique value and contribution. For example, Aunt Li, who lives on the fourth floor, though very old, always likes to make coffee for everyone in the morning; And Brother Liu, on the second floor, often helps others repair home appliances.

At the same time, a tense and complex atmosphere permeates the apartment. Lin felt as if the air around him had frozen, filled with a strong sense of repression. This feeling strengthened his heart and filled him with confidence for the future. He knows that only by uncovering the truth can he truly solve the problem. In the dead of night, he would be alone on his balcony looking up at the stars and silently praying that everything would work out.

The light in the apartment's underground chamber is dim, and Lin Fan lights a flashlight that illuminates the space. The air inside was damp and heavy, making it a little breathless. As the beam of a flashlight swept across antiques and papers, every detail came into sharp focus. Lin Fan carefully leafed through the papers, looking for useful information. The mixture of musty and dusty smells in the air made him sneeze. He gently wiped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve and continued reading.

One document in particular caught his attention. The document reads: "These antiques possess a tremendous amount of energy, enough to protect the entire apartment. But they must be kept with care so that they do not fall into the wrong hands."

Lin Fan's eyes locked tightly on the words, and a strong sense of curiosity sprang up in his heart. "Do these antiques really have some special power?" 'he said to himself. The light of the flashlight illuminates the lines of text on the document, each word as if to remind him that the task is far more important than he expected.

At the same time, he found a small wooden box with elaborate designs carved into it. It was not a large box, but it was very delicate. He opened it gently and found a yellowed map in it. Multiple locations were marked on it, each one carefully marked. Lin Fan speculated that the map might point to the location of the precious antique. Each route and each marker seemed to tell an unsolved mystery that he couldn't let go of.

He put the map away carefully, his mind full of questions. Who had left this clue? What's the secret behind it? He decided to dig deeper and look for more clues in order to unravel the mystery of it all. He closed the box and re-examined everything around him as if he could hear the passage of time.

As the investigation deepens, Lin Fan gradually finds some key clues. But he is also well aware that the road will not be smooth. Every time he recalls the threats and warnings of those outlaws, his heart is filled with anxiety and restlessness. However, he also came to understand that only by facing difficulties bravely can he truly solve problems.

"Those criminals will not let us go so easily," he said in a conversation with Ah Hua. "We must find the antique as soon as possible."

"I know," Ah Hua said with a steady look in his eyes, "but we can't take it lightly. We must proceed with caution."

"That's right," Lin Fan nodded in agreement. "We must be prepared in case something happens."

Despite the pressure inside, Lin Fan never wavered in his faith. Every time he encounters a difficult problem, he thinks of a solution with a calmer attitude. In the course of working with Ah Hua and Xiao Mei, he has learned how to work together as a team to tackle challenges. The experience not only made him more mature, but also made him stronger inside.

Gradually, Lin Fan began to develop a deeper understanding of the residents. He saw their kindness and bravery, as well as their solidarity and mutual help. These experiences made him understand that true strength comes not only from individuals, but from the wisdom and strength of the collective. So he decided to continue his efforts and fight for the preservation of the apartment. Whenever he walks down the hallways of the apartment and sees the busy residents, his heart fills with strength and hope.

With the deepening of the investigation, Lin Fan gradually found some key clues, but at the same time encountered a lot of obstacles. He once tracked the whereabouts of those outlaws in the middle of the night, but was finally detected by the other side and nearly got into trouble. Whenever he returned to his apartment, he would take deep breaths of fresh air on the balcony and try to calm himself down. But he never gave up, and instead, he became more and more aware of his sense of responsibility and more determined in his heart during his encounters with outlaws.

"We must find the antique," Lin Fan told Ah Hua and Xiao Mei, "this is our only chance."

"That's right," Ah Hua agreed. "We have to act."

Xiao Mei nodded silently, her eyes flashing with determination. The three encouraged and supported each other through many difficult moments. Their cooperation not only strengthened their trust, but also gave them a deeper feeling for the apartment.

By chance, Lin found the diaries of some of the former administrators. The diaries detailed the apartment's history and the origins of its antiques, and even mentioned the existence of some mysterious forces. This made Lin Fan feel excited, but also stressed. He knows he has a growing responsibility. Whenever he opened his diary and saw the familiar names and events, it was as if he could feel the former administrator's heartbeat and breath.

The residents of the apartment began to feel the tension. Every morning, when they gathered in the apartment lobby, they could see the worried looks on each other's faces. In spite of this, they maintained a positive attitude and comforted and encouraged each other. Aunt Li would make a pot of hot tea and get everyone to sit around and share each other's stories; Brother Liu mixes a glass of juice to bring a touch of coolness.

The tense and complex atmosphere permeates the apartment. Everyone feels the impending crisis, but no one chooses to back down. Instead, they became more united and determined to tackle this unknown challenge together. When night falls, they gather to discuss their next steps and plan for the future together. At such moments, Lin Fan deeply appreciates the power of unity.

Lin Fan, Ah Hua and Xiao Mei meet in the common area of the apartment to discuss their next move. Ah Hua holds up a floor plan of the apartment and studies it intently. "I have marked out all the rooms and passageways in the apartment so we can go through them one by one." 'he explained carefully, spreading the map out on the table. Sunlight streamed through the Windows, creating dappled shadows on the drawing.

"This way, we'll be more organized." Lin Fan took the plan and analyzed it carefully. "Have you noticed anything unusual?"

Ah Hua smiled and said confidently, "I have been paying close attention to the situation inside and outside the apartment these days, and I noticed some strange sounds in some remote corners. I thought that might be a sign of lawless activity." He pointed to several markers on the chart, as if they had some magic power that made his words more powerful.

Lin Fan nodded approvingly. "Good, we need to put this information together. Xiao Mei, did you find anything?"

Xiao Mei put down the pen in her hand and looked up, her eyes shining with the light of thought. "I looked up some of the previous administrator's files and found that he had mentioned the word 'ghost' in some of his documents." 'she said slowly.' I'm not sure if it's relevant to our investigation, but I think we should consider all possibilities. ' There was a hint of uncertainty in her voice, but more firmness.

Lin Fan frowns, thinking. "' Ghost '? What does that mean? Could there really be something supernatural going on in the apartment?" He looked around as if he could feel the invisible presence.

Ah Hua adds: "I feel like nothing can be ruled out. Either way, we need to be on our toes." He clenched his fist, as if to pump himself up.

Lin Fan takes a deep breath and looks firmly at Ah Hua and Xiao Mei. "Ok, let's face it together." His words reveal a determination never seen before.

With the passage of time, Lin Fan's mood also gradually changed. The original doubts and uneasiness slowly changed into firmness and determination. In the dead of night, he would often sit alone by the window, looking out at the moonlight and thinking about his next action plan.

"We must find the antique." 'he whispered to himself.' That's the only way to solve the problem for good. '

This sense of mission drove him to keep moving forward and never flinched in the face of many difficulties. The support and encouragement of Ah Hua and Xiao Mei gave him great confidence. Every day at dawn, he can see the other residents in the apartment are busy, and they are silently making efforts to protect this home.

This kind of environment makes him gradually realize that everyone has his own responsibility and value. No matter how small the forces, collectively they can make a big difference. As a result, Lin began to communicate with other residents and listen to their opinions and suggestions, which gave him a lot of valuable experience and inspiration.

Ah Hua and Xiao Mei played a crucial role in Lin Fan's investigation process. Ah Hua, who knew the interior structure of the flat like the back of his hand, drew a detailed floor plan of the flat to help Lin Fan quickly locate key locations. He was keenly aware of anomalies emerging inside and outside the apartment, especially strange sounds in those out-of-the-way corners. These clues have provided Lin Fan with many valuable clues.

One evening, when Ah Hua was inspecting the ground floor of the apartment, he overheard a small noise coming from the basement, like someone moving objects quietly. He immediately realized that it might have something to do with the antique and quickly contacted Lin Fan and Xiao Mei. The three go to the basement together and find that there are some dark secrets hidden there indeed.

"You see, there seems to be some looseness in the walls here." Ah Hua said, pointing to one wall. He tapped the wall gently with his hand and noticed a difference in the sound it made. Together, the three men finally pushed the wall apart, revealing a narrow passage. At the end of the passage, the faint glow of an antique could be seen.

Xiao Mei gave Lin Fan a lot of help with the documents. She consulted a large number of documents and diaries left by former administrators and found some key information. She came across a description of a "ghost" during a chance reading, and while not sure if it was relevant to the investigation, it reminded Lin Fan of the need to consider all possibilities.

Lin Fan gradually finds more clues in the investigation process, but also encounters more and more obstacles. Whenever in the dead of night, he would sit alone by the window, looking at the moonlight outside and thinking about the next action plan. The anxiety and restlessness kept building up inside him, but he never gave up.

In a late night operation, he was almost detected by the criminals, fortunately escaped in time. At that moment, he felt the pressure and fear he had never felt before, but he was not intimidated. Instead, the experience made him even more determined to protect his apartment.

"I can't hold back anymore," he told himself. "It's my responsibility."

"Don't worry, we will all support you," Xiao Mei said softly from the side.

"Yes," echoed Ah Hua, "We work together, we will find a way."

These warm words made Lin Fan feel excited. He began to pay more attention to strategic planning rather than blindly acting. The support and encouragement of Ah Hua and Xiao Mei gave him great confidence. Whenever faced with a difficult problem, he always tells himself to stick to it.

As Lin Fan and Ah Hua and Xiao Mei continue to investigate, a series of mysterious events take place inside the apartment. One night, Xiao Mei hears light footsteps in the hallway. She gets up to check, but finds everything is fine. But the next morning, she found a few books missing from her bookshelf, which made her very confused.

"Could it have been the outlaws? "She asked Lin Fan and Ah Hua," Do they want to distract us?"

Lin Fan frowned and thought for a moment, then said, "Maybe. We need to be vigilant while continuing the investigation."

Meanwhile, Ah Hua spotted a suspicious figure in the CCTV footage frequenting different areas of the flat at night. He immediately shared the discovery with Lin Fan and proposed to step up the surveillance again.

These little cliffhangers and incidents add a bit of tension to the investigation. Lin Fan understands that these seemingly insignificant things may be the key to uncovering the truth. Therefore, he decided to work more closely with Ah Hua and Xiao Mei to deal with these emergencies and ensure the smooth conduct of the investigation.

From the viewing platform on the top floor of the apartment, the cold night wind blows the stars in the sky. Lin Fan stood in the center of the observatory, clutching an old pistol in his hand. His eyes were as sharp as a hawk, searching through the night for every danger lurking in the shadows. The outlaws were near the observatory, and their footsteps sounded like hammering at his heart. In the tense atmosphere, Lin Fan felt a chill run up his spine and up his neck, but he was calm because he knew that this was the moment he had to face.

The instruments on the viewing platform looked extremely cold, with only a few stars twinkling in the dark night sky. Lin Fan noticed that each star was telling its own story, as if they were cheering him on. He took a deep breath and steadied himself, trying not to let his hands shake. He knew he had to protect not only himself, but these stars, this quiet sky, everything in the apartment.

Just then, several outlaws appeared on the landing. Dressed in black and wearing face masks, they carried sharp knives and iron bars in their hands and gave off a creepy smell. At the head was a tall man with matted hair and a greedy glint in his eyes. His eyes made Lin Fan feel as if a thousand pounds were weighing down on his heart, making him gasp for breath. Despite the fear that filled Lin Fan's heart, he knew he could not back down. He needed to calm down and use wisdom to overcome what was in front of him.

"Lin Fan, stay back! Ah Hua's voice suddenly came over the intercom. Lin Fan reacted quickly and immediately retreated a few steps into a hiding place. He noticed that the outlaws approached cautiously and seemed to be hostile to every tree and grass. Their eyes, Mr. Lin observed, reflected the madness of their unrelenting desire for wealth. He understood that these people were not just ordinary thieves, but had something bigger behind them.

Lin Fan thought quickly about countermeasures, trying to formulate a plan without being detected. As he watched their movements, he secretly plotted how to lure them into a trap. Suddenly, a slight noise broke the silence. Lin Fan's heart beat faster. He turned sharply and saw a mouse running past the corner. The tiny figure shocked Lin Fan. He thought of "ghosts" -- mysterious beings who had appeared in his dreams. He hoped that these "spirits" would appear at this critical time to offer some help.

"Lin Fan, come here quickly! Ah Hua's voice rang out again. Lin Fan quickly responds and joins up with Ah Hua to prepare for the coming battle.

Just then, a faint blue light emerged from the darkness, like a shooting star streaking through the night. Lin Fan's heart rejoiced and he knew that the "ghost" had appeared. He felt a slight vibration, like a sound coming from deep underground. He adjusted himself hastily to get ready. He knew that the battle ahead would be a fight to the death, and he had to stay awake and use all the resources at his disposal.

In the center of the observatory, the night wind is blowing gently, and the leaves are rustling, as if it were the whisper of nature. Lin Fan felt a chill and could not help but shiver. He clutched the pistol tightly, sweating slightly between his fingers. The air seemed to freeze, and everything became eerily quiet. Lin Fan felt the sweat sliding down his cheeks. Every drop of sweat seemed crystal clear in the cold air. He clenched his teeth and tried to compose himself. He knew it was now a fight between him and the outlaws, and one careless move could end in ruin.

The metal frame of the viewing platform made a slight "snapping" sound in the wind, as if to signal impending disaster. Lin Fan felt the floor under his feet start to shake slightly as well, and he was immediately alert. The outlaws seemed to notice this, too, and began to exchange uneasy glances. Lin Fan understood that this was his chance to strike back, so he did not hesitate to charge.

He first took aim at one of the targets and fired a shot, which sent the outlaw to the ground. The others were immediately thrown into confusion, rushing toward Lin Fan with their weapons drawn and Shouting curses. Lin Fan fought back as he dodged the attack. The starlight on the viewing platform seemed to grow brighter, as if to light the way forward for him. Lin Fan, with his years of fighting experience, reacted quickly and dodged several deadly attacks. He felt like a warrior, courageously advancing on the dark battlefield.

On the viewing platform, various sounds mingled together to form a disorganized symphony. Lin Fan waved his gun, trying to gain more space for himself. He kept moving his feet to avoid getting stuck. He dodges attacks while looking for opportunities to counter them. He knows that one misstep could cost him the battle. However, he did not give up. Instead, he fought harder and harder. He took a deep breath, steadied himself, and prepared for what was to come.

On the edge of the observatory, Lin Fan is keenly aware of an obscure mechanism, a hidden device left by the previous caretaker. His mind moved and he immediately changed tactics. Eg. He lured the outlaws closer to the organ by pretending to be a failed defense. When the last enemy approached, Lin Fan suddenly pushed him off the viewing platform. There was a loud bang, and the outlaw fell to the lawn under the stargazing platform, and the sound of wailing echoed in the night sky.

Lin Fan breathed a sigh. He knew he was out of danger for the time being. But it was far from over, and there were other outlaws who didn't show up. He glanced around quickly, but there was no sign of them. Lin Fan knew he had to find them soon, or he would be in even greater danger. He immediately adjusted his strategy and began looking around the viewing platform for other possible hiding places.

At that moment, a faint blue light suddenly lit up on the other side of the observatory, like a star in the night sky. Lin Fan's eyes were drawn to it and he saw a blur of light and shadow dancing. His heart tightened and he knew that the "ghost" had appeared again. The Spirit moved closer. Its figure seemed clearer than ever. Lin Fan felt a warm surge in his heart and realized that these ghosts were not his enemies, but his Allies.

Lin Fan immediately stopped resisting. He turned around and nodded to the "ghosts." He knew that only by relying on each other could he win in this life-and-death contest. He takes a deep breath and tries to communicate with the "ghost." He closes his eyes and concentrates, as if to become one with the world. Soon, he felt an inexplicable power surge through him, and he knew he had made some connection with the "ghost."

Lin Fan opened his eyes and saw the "ghost" standing in front of him, as if awaiting his instructions. With a slight nod of his head, Lin signaled that the Ghost would help him fight the enemy. At that moment, it was as if some kind of powerful magnetic field had formed on the viewing platform, binding Lin Fan and the Ghost together. He felt an invisible force moving through him, giving him courage and strength he had never seen before.

On the other side of the stargazer, the night wind grew stronger and the leaves rustled. Lin Fan took a deep breath and knew that now was the time to act. He gave the "ghost" a look of trust, and then immediately rushed to the outlaws' hiding place. He flexibly shuttled around every corner of the viewing platform, taking advantage of the terrain and cooperating with the "ghost". The outlaws were immediately thrown into confusion, they could not distinguish Lin Fan's whereabouts, and they did not know when the "ghost" would appear.

The stars on the viewing platform appeared more bright at the moment, as if they were cheering for Lin Fan. While dodging attacks, he looks for opportunities to fight back. The outlaws become suspicious of each other. They don't know who to trust or how to react to this sudden change. Lin Fan seized the opportunity and quickly approached them, using the weapons at his disposal to create a series of amazing effects. The scene on the viewing platform became so intense that it almost turned into a real battlefield.

Lin Fan fought back as he dodged. He felt the weight of the pistol, as if it had become part of his body. He took aim at the outlaws, playing a rousing piece of music with each pull of the trigger. The sound of gunfire echoed through the night sky, and each explosion seemed to proclaim victory. Lin Fan felt sweat trickle down his forehead, but his heart was filled with hope. He firmly believed that as long as he faced it bravely, he would be able to overcome all this.

On the viewing platform, the outlaws began to retreat. The fight, they realized, was unwinnable for them. Lin Fan saw this and immediately seized the opportunity to launch a fierce attack on the last outlaw. The starlight on the viewing platform seemed to cheer him on, and every shot sounded like a cheer for him. The outlaws were finally completely defeated, and they fled the scene in disarray.

Lin Fan took a deep breath. He could finally breathe a sigh of relief. He felt that his body and mind had been baptized by the intense battle. He knew that this was not only a simple victory, but also a challenge to himself. He took courage and wisdom from the fight and came out stronger. Lin Fan looked up at the starry sky on the viewing platform and felt a peace he had never felt before. He knew very well that he had grown from a timid novice to a brave guardian.

The apartment's lobby is brightly lit, and residents sit in a circle with long-lost smiles on their faces. As night approaches, the stars outside the window gradually appear, as if nature has carefully arranged the background for this scene. There was a warm and peaceful atmosphere in the air, which was quite different from the tense and oppressive atmosphere before. Lin Fan stood in the center, the paper in his hands trembling slightly. It was a note of the course of the investigation, with all the clues and findings. He coughed softly, cleared his throat, and began slowly, "I would like to thank you all for your support, which made it possible for me to find and protect the antique."

Lin Fan recounted the thrilling process on the viewing platform that night, describing every detail, including his composure in the face of a hail of bullets and his fierce counterattack at the crucial moment. There's a steady confidence in his voice, but there's also a sense of nostalgia for the past. "My heart almost stopped when I found that antique," he says. At that moment, I understood why the previous keeper valued it so much. It was more than just an ordinary item, it was the key to the security of the apartment."

Lao Li sat aside, serious expression, eyes always staring at Lin Fan. He nodded his head gently to show understanding. Ah Hua was more relaxed, occasionally chipping in a few words of encouragement. Xiao Mei firmly grasped Lin Fan's hand, and the warm power of her palm came from her, as if she were giving him endless support and encouragement. "We are all grateful to you, Lin Fan," she said softly. Because of you, it is peaceful here again."

Lin Fan feels the warmth and trust from the residents. He took a deep breath and continued: "I thought I was just an ordinary person until this crisis. I realized that everyone has the potential to change things. The reason our apartment was able to regain its peace was because we were united and faced the difficulties together."

As he spoke, the lights in the hall flickered, then returned to normal. Lao Li stood up and walked to the window, looking out at the darkening sky. "It will be dark soon," he said softly. "We must prepare dinner." This sentence seemed to be a signal, everyone stood up, some to help the kitchen, some responsible for moving out the tables and chairs, lively. At that moment, Lin Fan felt as if he had integrated into the community and become an indispensable member.

Xiao Mei took Lin by the hand and said with a smile, "Come on, let's go help cook. We are going to celebrate tonight." Lin Fan smiled and nodded as she followed Xiaomei to the kitchen. He saw Ah Hua chopping vegetables, moving skillfully and quickly, smiling up at them from time to time. Lao Li was directing the other residents and arranging all the work in an orderly manner.

At the dinner table, rich dishes were placed on the table, and the aroma was fragrant. Lin Fan tasted the hot soup, which was warm and familiar. He suddenly found that although he had experienced many twists and turns in these days, these beautiful moments were memories that could not be erased. He raised his glass and said, "Thank you for your support and help, and I will continue to guard this peaceful place for you. "We are not only living together, but we are spending every day together."

Residents raised their glasses and laughed. Lin Fan looked around and felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction. He looked out the window as night fell and the stars shone brightly. In the apartment building, there was a warm light from every window, as if there was a sweet little home behind every window. This, he thinks, is the charm of community, and the most precious sense of belonging in everyone's heart.

Lin Fan finally understood that true protection is not only to stop those external threats, but also to protect the happiness and peace of each family. He will continue to work as the caretaker of the apartment and try his best to protect everything here. He knows that as long as everyone works together, there is no difficulty that cannot be overcome. The apartment was once again full of life and vitality, and became the warmest harbor in everyone's heart.

As the days passed, the apartment returned to its usual tranquility. The residents grow closer to each other and trust each other more. Whenever night falls, Lin Fan goes to the viewing platform to look up at the bright stars and feel the peace and calm. He knows that this is his duty as a guardian, and it is also his innermost desire.

As winter turns to spring and everything comes back to life, life in the apartment gets better and better. Every corner is full of life and hope. Residents are no longer estranged from each other, instead caring and supporting each other. Lin Fan felt that he was no longer the timid young man who had just arrived. He has transformed into a true guardian, guarding not only the security of the apartment, but also the spiritual home of each resident.

And it all started with the decisions he made that night. At the stargazer, he chose to face up to it rather than run from it. It was that courage and persistence that made all the difference. Today, the apartment is filled with laughter and warm lights behind every window, as if to tell everyone: here, you will always be a safe haven.

Lin Fan is standing on the viewing platform, gazing at the starry sky. The stars fell like water on the earth and lit up the whole world. He knew that no matter what happened in the future, this would be the harbor in his heart, and he was willing to keep it forever.
