It can cleanse karma, nourish the foundation, support spiritual cultivation and heal injuries. Although it isn't as strong as other waters that focus on one direction, it is the only water that can cleanse karma, comparable to the karmic fire of the karma fire lotus, but is also able to heal and nourish, which makes it unique.
This water is formed from the earth essence of the western earth veins and Mount Sumeru's merit in supressing and controlling the western veins. If it wasn't for the later damage, this lake wouldn't have been reduced to a pond.
On the lake was one of the five lotus's born from the chaos lotus of creation that aided Pangu in its creation. The five are the matured twenty-four-layer green lotus of creation, and the four semi-mature twelve-layer lotus of destruction owned by Louhou, twelve-layer karmic fire lotus that burns and cleanses the blood sea, twelve-layer pure world purification lotus, and finally the lotus growing on the eight-merit water, twelve-layer golden merit lotus.
"This golden lotus… has the foundation to grow further?" Ran Deng was shocked.
He examined the Lotus again and then was sure that this Lotus indeed had the opportunity to grow into the twenty-four golden merit lotus. In fact, the twelve-layer Lotus doesn't have any other ability besides supressing fortune. If one could call it an ability to grow merit lotus seeds fast with merits, then this can be another ability.
"The other four lotuses have their own laws… I don't believe this Lotus doesn't have its own law… maybe, the Law can't be manifested properly without being at the twenty-fourth stage?
But… the destruction law is no less than the creation law, and it is still shown in the twelve-layer lotus… could it be?!"
As he thought of this, murderous intent arouse from his heart "Hongjun! You're really good! Hahaha, the golden lotus merit should be creating its own Merit Law! An original new law that hasn't existed before! It can't gain intelligence nor transform since it has the origin of an innate treasure, so it needs an even higher origin to create a new law…
If this law existed, would the Saints of Merit, such as Nuwa, Jieyin and Zhunti in the later history be weaker than the three pure ones? Hahaha! You really made a great show! The merit law is probably the only law that accommodates several small path immortals! A great law comparable to Pangu's Power law!
I must say, this chaos green lotus of creation… you are really bold! Since you helped creating the world, you also saw the difficulty, so instead you transformed your own origin to create a new law that is based on the creation law, but instead of creating something, it focuses on protecting the creation!
The other lotuses should also have their own creation origin laws that can evolve into twenty-four-layer lotuses and create new paths! As for the only twenty-four-layer lotus… haha, it was destroyed in the end by the will of heaven and separated into three treasures for the three pure ones!

The three of us of the west have the innate origin to cultivate our own laws, but later generations will eventually have it more difficult since other laws have been cultivated… this merit law will be the foundation of Buddhism, as long as you have merits, you will become a merit saint no weaker than those that kill their three corpses!
As for small immortal paths… well, everyone is unique and powerful, a merit saint that relies on a higher law without conquering the law isn't able to compare. Maybe, when there's a merit saint that achieves supreme merit, they are able to claim the merit law as their own, achieving the true immortal path stage, or even mysterious immortal path!"
Ran Deng was laughing loudly as he thought of all these possibilities. The merit saint is the same as the heavenly saint, both are saints appointed by a greater path. The only reason why the three pure ones were stronger than other heavenly saints was their supreme foundation.
Even without the opportunity of a heavenly saint, they would have created their own path, so naturally they deserve their strength.
