My older brother Luke was sitting on the sofa when i came home from school. It was a strange sensation when i just got one step in the living room, i glanced at him and ready to apologise what i did last week. But he approached me a firmly smile, that just got me surprised, " Great! Now you're here.." he said to me, blocking my concentration in his face.
" What do you mean?." I ask, glancing in his confident eyes.
" Our mother wants you to transfer school tomorrow.. " he said truthfully. I grinned because this would be his prank again, but stop until my phone rang in my bag. Of course, i grabbed it and answered it.
It was my mother. " Hello, mom..? " i answered in curiosity with my eyes fixing at my handsome brother.
" You ready to go, dear..?" Ask my mom in a high, happy tone.
I took a step to go upstairs with my right hand in the phone in my ear. I took a deep breath and answered, " Why do i need to transfer? " i answered, " I'm happy in here, mom...".
My mom's job is a business woman in New york, though we don't know our father, we just don't care about him. My brother and i studied far from mom, so mom could focus on his work.
Whem mom, realize that his sister came back from the japan supposedly to visit us. So she called his sister to take care of us until we graduated.
" i know, but your uncle just has a huge problem in his wife..." she commented, " his wife cheated on him, and i feel pity in your uncle..."
I know what my uncle is into, and my brother knows what our uncle job is.
" But we still haven't graduated yet! " I interrupted, my left hand reach the doorknob at my room and open it. " Yeah... I know.." my mom said to me, I heard his breath from my phone and started to mutter then whisper, " Still i refuse, please dear...i promise that i would never be selfish again...please...". My mind started to feel guilty, and I had less concentration today. I took a step forward into my bed and lie down, I close my eyes and remember all that my mom's sister did to us. His name is thea, my mom's beautiful and kind sister. The one who takes care of us at 5 years in this place, aunt thea's job is just a waiter in a restaurant close to our house. She is always late to go home, but we are always there for him, waiting in the living room.
Though Aunt thea's husband is dead, she is always not late to go in here place where his body is buried.
When i opened my eyes, i looked at the window where i always sees mother bird feeding her children. And i get down from the bed and packed my things tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning, my brother Luke called me to go downstairs, and i see Aunt thea waiting from me in the table.
"Don't you ever get homesick again like you did that day..." Aunt thea said, looking at me in a smile. " Haha..of course i won't, I'm an adult now." I laughed at him. When all the things are prepared, i hug Aunt thea and say to him goodbye and take care by herself. She nodded and waved at me when we got up in the car.
" Gosh..time flews by.." Luke said, interrupting my thoughts, " don't worry, sis, i forgive you now..". I looked at him in a surprised, Then looked at the car window, i smiled sadly..
