Chapter 4 - Lady Silva

However the tide of battle soon changed.

Booom! A small mushroom cloud arose and took out 5 guards fighting the bandits.

A figure approached from the Bandit side.

"All of you surrender, or ill burn you alive with my Fire Magic" Said the mysterious figure.

"Do you you think we are naive enough to believe you" Said one of the Stronger Guards.

"Even if you're a mage, you're alone. While we have Four Aura Knights" Said the Man confidently.

As soon as the man said that, the other Aura knight all jumped the mage in unison.

The mage didn't look very scared, instead he looked calm despite the odds.

"Hahah, you all are more foolishly than I thought. Very well let me show you the might of a mage"

Saying so the man's palm caught on fire, a wave of flames hit all the Aura knights. Burning their armours to char and melting them till only a middle of steel and flesh remained.

It was a gruesome sight and the air was charged with a disgusting smell.

"Kill the Rest of them and I want the Noble Girl Alive and untouched. If any of you low lives touch her you'll die the same way as these knights" The mysterious figure Said as he made his way back.

The rest of the fight was easily won by the bandits, without those powerful figures on the Guards side they were unable to fight.

Jack was watching all of this happen while contemplating what to do. This was a troublesome situation and he didn't feel like entering the mess made by someone else.

But he felt that the Bandits couldn't be trusted and if he rescues this Noble lady, she might become grateful to him, allowing him a passage out of this forest.

After making up his mind be followed the bandits to their base of operation. It was easy to tail them as they were too busy plundering whatever they could from the small convoy. It was mostly filled with some ornaments, flashy weapons and coins.

Jack waited, he then saw the bandits keeping a young lady in a separate tent. The young lady looked to be about 18 years old.

She looked quite beautiful, at least she was more beautiful than any other woman Jack had ever seen. Even comparing her to superstars form his previous life he found she was still more beautiful.

The girl was brunette with wavy hair and two large problems. Not that he minded.

Now, as for His plans. They were quite simple. He found out the tent were the guards were kept in chains, he would free them and cause some chaos and within that chaos he would take out the Mage. The rest of the bandits shouldn't be too much trouble afterwards. At least they shouldn't since they couldn't use any magic thus only the mage was the real threat to Jack.

Jack wasn't averse to killing, he killed a lot of monsters in the forest to survive and he felt that at this point he wouldn't feel much even If he killed another human being.

Jack did as he planned. Slowly made his way towards the captured guards. They all were bound in heavy chains.

He easily took out the guards infront of the Tent. He made sharp stone needles and pierced their heads. They fell with a thud.

The rest of the bandits were celebrating and eating food in the fire pit this no one saw what happened here. But he would need to hurry, since the bandits weren't completely stupid.

Inside there was another Bandit. He was sitting on a chair. He was going through some of the equipment and clothes of the Guards. Jack was able to take him out, he conjured a stone spike underneath the Bandits chair killing him.

The guards also saw him and they were very surprised but also hopeful.

Jack was Able to dismantle the metal chains using a water jet.

"Thanks you unknown mage, but why have you helped us?" Asked the oldest looking guard.

"There is no time for me to explain, if you want to save you're lady than follow my instructions" said Jack.

He then told them of his plans and the Guards immediately agreed.

Jack also realized that his Language Comprehension skills worked and allowed him to comprehend the language of these people.

He knew what they spoke wasn't English or any other language he knew, they were speaking something else but to him it all sounded very much like English.

The knights all took back their weapons and other gears. They all waited for Jack's signal.

Jack peeked out from the tent, the bandits were still busy partying.

The knights receiving the signal slowly made their way towards the central camp. The knights were dressed like the bandits and since it was night time the bandits did not realize the peril they were in.

It all started abruptly, one bandit stabbed another, soon every one was fighting each other. There was chaos and anarchy. Fires were also starting to appear.

The Mage, noticing all the chaos came out of his tent. He looked more annoyed than surprised at this chaos.

Jack was hidden in all the chaos. He was watching everything near a corner. All the bandits around him died as soon as they came near him.

Another foolish bandit blindly charged towards him, only to die by Stone needle hitting his head.

Jack knew it was now or never. The mage was distracted.

Jack, waved his palm. This time he drew his water element instead of earth. He started to pressurize the water turning it very compact and in a arrow like shape.

It was very mystic sight, an arrow made out of water that looked almost like it was made out of ice.

The mage was preparing to cast his magic, but feeling a bit uneasy the mage looked around. Too late. The Water arrow with Whooosh! Sound hit him directly in the left eye. The mage clutched his eye in agony before falling in the ground with a thud. The mage was still spasming.

Jack came near the mage, to make sure the mage was really dead he made a spike underneath the head of the mage. It made a 'Squelch' sound while piercing the skull, Grey brain mater alongside blood flowed freely.

Jack looted some items from the mage. He firstly took the shiny ring from the dead body. Aside from that he took the pouch and parchment of paper with weird sigils.

Taking everything, Jack decides to finish the fight.

Looking around he realized around 5 more of the knights had died. The bandits were also around 13 A lot of them died fighting each other not knowing who's the enemy.

This was good. Jack joined the fight, he killed every single bandit he faced with a single Stone needle in the head. It was the most merciful and painless way to kill someone.

Within five minutes the battle was over, only smoke was left rising from a few burned tents and even dead bodies.

The knights went through many tents searching for their lady. Jack sat near a tent that was still in good condition. There sitting in a chair, he took the ring and closely examined it. Since the mage was wearing this, it had to be important is what he thought.

Jack tried putting it on, nothing happened he tried many other actions yet nothing happened. Perplexed Jack recalled the sensation when he used his elements, he then tried that while wearing the ring, hoping something would change.

He was right. Something did happen. Jack noticed he could see an empty space in his mind. There were several items inside, he felt he could take out or even out an item inside with just but a thought.

A storage ring, very RPG like is what Jack thought. But this was incredible, Jack felt like a guy who just discovered a new lovely toy. He couldn't help it, he just never used or even owned such a thing before. Plus he kept thinking on how useful this ring would be. He could now store things which he couldn't normally carry.

Judging by the space inside, it would comparable to that of a small apartment. That was plenty of storage. Jack noticed some books inside the ring, curious he took one out to inspect it.

The book had leather cover with a smell that only new books contained.

The books title read, Fire Magic For Intiates.

A very intriguing title, Jack was curious if this

FIRE MAGIC magic was better than his flame control. He couldn't wait to read the book.

But he was interrupted in his thought when a couple of Guards flanking the beautiful woman he saw before, came along towards him.

The Noble lady was the one to Intiate the conversation.

"Hello My name is Silva DraconisI heard of your valiant efforts to rescue me. I am very thankful to you Sir Mage" said the women in serene tone. Her voice was as beautiful as she looked.

Jack was blindsided by her extroverted personality and he never spoke with a woman as beautiful as her. He was quite troubled for a response.

Mentally preparing himself, he thought what's the worst that could happen, he could fight against ferocious monster, taking with a noble lady shouldn't be too difficult.

Thinking as such he responded....
