It's 5 in the evening. Everyone is busy wrapping things up before leaving work. I am also one of them. Within a few minutes, the place once busy with people turned as lonely as it could ever be. Took me a little longer to finish. Everyone else left before me. I also started walking home.
Things weren't always like this. Everything turned this way because of some recent incidents. There have been cases of peoples' blood being sucked. Most people assumed it was the doing of Dracula or a vampire. The victim had no sign of injury except for a biting mark on their neck. A lot of them died before even receiving proper treatment.
The sun went down just a few moments earlier, but the whole place already feels dead. I am walking alone in the lonely streets, with no sign of life other than me being present within the range of my visions. After walking a bit more, another presence was found...
A black cat was sitting in the middle of the street, staring deep into my soul with its two eyes. Both of us were staring at each other for a long time, unfazed by the passing of time.
Lonely little existences staring at each other. But I couldn't look at those eyes for much longer. Felt like there's an entire world within those eyes. How much does he want to convey with his two little eyes? Does he know that the other existence can't understand a single thing from what he wants to let them know?
