Walking along the footpath, lost in my thoughts, I heard footsteps rushing up behind me. Suddenly, a guy appeared, breathless, as if he'd been chasing time itself. Without hesitation, he stood in front of me and, with a raw intensity in his eyes, confessed his feelings. Before I could fully process the moment, the sky opened up, and raindrops began to fall like whispered secrets.
Confusion and disbelief swirled within me, and I blurted out, "I hate relationships!" The rain poured harder, matching the chaos in my heart. But he didn't waver; his words were unwavering, his gaze piercing through my defence.
In my usual cool, defiant tone, I challenged him, "Do you dare to kiss me here, in public?" but my inside voice want to tell something.
Without hesitation, he stepped closer, his eyes locked onto mine. The world around us seemed to fade, leaving just the two of us standing in the rain. He leaned in, his forehead gently touching mine, his breath warm against my skin. In a soft, hushed voice, he whispered, "I'm going mad...crazy for you. I truly love you."
And then, he kissed me. His lips met mine softly at first, delicate and tender, as if testing the boundaries of a dream. One hand cupped my face, fingers tracing the line of my jaw, while the other held my hand firmly, as if afraid I might vanish. The kiss deepened, and time seemed to stand still. His lips moved with a desperate passion, and his tongue explored mine in a slow, mesmerizing dance that left me breathless. It felt like he was pouring all his unspoken emotions into that kiss, a silent symphony of longing and desire.
It was not me, my mind was a whirlwind, caught between disbelief and surrender. I couldn't stop him. For those few fleeting moments, the rain, the world, and the chaos all disappeared, leaving only the intoxicating connection between us.
As the kiss ended, reality crashed back in. Breathless and overwhelmed, I pulled away, my heart racing. I didn't know who this guy was, yet something deep inside told me he already knew me. Confusion and a strange, exhilarating fear swept through me, and without a word, I ran.
But even as I fled, his words and the lingering warmth of his touch stayed with me. Something had changed forever that day. And also that day I find I have two soul.
