Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

**GENENIS OF AN INSANE GUY**

***Movement of Trains**

It's been a week since we returned to Japan. Saturdays are as boring as ever, especially coming from an uninteresting person like me. My mindset hasn't changed, even after visiting a few therapists—some of whom were actually legitimate. I had to fake expressions, pretending to be deeply moved, but it didn't improve my relationship with my mom.

I decided to take a walk to explore the area. Japan has changed a lot, though I've been in Fukuoka all this time, not Tokyo. The city is lively and bustling, filled with broadcasting televisions, beautiful restaurants, and a vibrant energy. As I wandered around, someone suddenly bumped into me. I turned around and noticed it was a girl. She didn't even apologize—just ran off as if someone were chasing her. Instinctively, I checked my pocket for my phone. It was gone.

*A runaway thief!*

I remembered the direction she ran and chased after her. I found her crouched in a corner, crying heavily. I paused for a moment, trying to hear what she was saying. Though I was a bit far away, I could tell she was on the phone, speaking to someone—a guy, I presumed. She sobbed uncontrollably, which piqued my curiosity.

"You promised you wouldn't tell anyone we were dating, Kyo!" she cried.

*Oh, a dating quarrel?* I smirked to myself. The call was on loudspeaker, so I could hear the other person's voice. The conversation went on for a few minutes, and as I listened, I suddenly realized something. I checked my bag and found my phone.

*Sorry for suspecting you,* I thought, feeling a bit guilty.

Later, I discovered that the girl was an up-and-coming model and actress. No wonder she was trying to hide her identity. I caught a glimpse of her face during the collision.

Monday arrived, and I was slightly late for the new semester opening ceremony. The principal gave a long, monotonous speech that felt like endless bird chirping—nothing made sense. Noriko High School, a prestigious private institution, is one of the top elite schools in the area. It offers programs in acting, music, and more. Graduating from here supposedly boosts your chances in future job interviews—or so they claim. The admission success rate is only ten percent.

After the principal, the student council gave a speech, and the ceremony finally ended. I checked the noticeboard to find my classroom. Some students were celebrating being in the same class again. Well, it's the second year, but it's my first time at this school.

I was assigned to Class C. The room was filled with students chatting excitedly. I took a seat by the window, gazing outside at the football pitch and the sky. My thoughts drifted until the teacher entered the room. He clapped so loudly that even a deaf person might have felt it.

"Attention!" he shouted, repeating it three times. "Everyone, take your seats!"

The students complied, and the teacher continued, "You probably all know my face and name by now, but there might be some new faces here. Let's go around and introduce ourselves again, starting from the first seat."

The introductions began, but I wasn't interested in anyone's name. Most of the students here either come from high-status families or have influential parents. I was more focused on the birds flying peacefully outside the window.

Suddenly, the teacher shouted, "You!"

I already knew he was talking to me. "Ah, sorry," I said, standing up.

"My name is Hananoi Tojiko. Nice to meet you all," I said, though I didn't really mean it.

*Well, let's see how my life at this school turns out,* I thought to myself.
