Aria
I lay on my bed, my face buried in the sheets, muffling my cries.
The door creak open, but I lay still, not bothering to look at him.
"Aria," I hear my father's firm voice, "Stop crying. You said so yourself, he does not worth your tears."
I whip my head up, "You know how much I have done for him! This is how he pays me back!"
He shrugs his shoulder, "You should stop crying now. I will be heading to the palace very soon. You can tag along if you like."
I croak, burying my face in the sheets, "No, I do not want to come."
"Are you sure?"
I do not respond. He does not even know how I feel at this point, how I wish mother were here.
"Whenever you are ready, go prepare yourself breakfast," I hear his steps fading away. He is gone.
I raise my head again, wiping my face, "He does not even care the slightest bit," I place a foot on the ground. I finally wipe my face with my palms. I have to bring myself to stop crying, I should not be wasting over him.
I place another foot on the ground, then I stand up, dragging myself to the bathroom.
...
I stuff the last spoon of food in my mouth, forcing myself to swallow in.
I remember I could actually go to the palace today. That can help, that will help me clear my head.
"Oh well," I stand up, taking the used plate to the kitchen, "Even if I get to speak with lady Dora today, that would really help a lot. She would understand, and probably tell me what to do."
I rinse the plate, keeping it back in its position.
I go back to my room, to get properly dressed, who knows, I might actually experience something beautiful today.
Hopefully.
I walk back outside, heading to the door, I turn the doorknob, open the door, then walk outside.
The rays of the sun hit my face, so I quickly squint my eyes trying to get used to the brightness after being inside since yesterday. I squint it for a few more minutes, frozen, like I am lost in some kind of space.
"Snap out of it!" I tell myself, shaking my head.
Taking one final look at my clothes, I close the door behind me, heading out.
Moon goddess, please make my day rewarding today!

I soon arrive at the palace, so I head straight to lady Dora's room. She would know how to handle it, and tell me exactly what to do.
I hurry through the hallways, counting the very familiar doors till I get to the seventy-ninth door on the right. Phew!
I swallow hard, then knock on the door softly. Shortly after, the door opens, revealing one of her personal maids, Yvonne.
"Hey there Aria, how are you?"
"Good day Madam Yvonne," I force a smile on my face, "Is Lady Dora in?"
She shakes her head, "No. She went out, but she will be back shortly, so you can wait for her."
I purse my lips, my jaw clenching, "Yes, of course Madam Yvonne, I can wait," I turn on my heels, heading back to the entrance.
"Where are you going? You can wait here, she does not have a problem with that."
I politely reject her offer, "Of course not. I want to clear my head for a while, I will be back before you know it," I force that fake smile on my face again, before disappearing out of her sight.
I drag myself through the hallways going back to the entrance of the palace. Today is sure going to be worse than yesterday.
Ronan pops up in my head again, but I quickly brush the thought of him off.
"You can not think of him Aria. He does not want you, get that into your head," I keep telling my already broken wolf.
I pass some maids who recognize me, and greets me.
"Hello there Aria!"
"Good day Aria!"
"I hope you had a wonderful night?"
I did have a terrible night, but then I keep up with the act, telling them it was wonderful.
I reach the door. I can feel the burning gazes of the guards all over me, but I ignore them. They creep me out.
I am nearing the throne room, my father would probably be in there, but I still walk past. I lower my gaze, walking aimlessly.
Thud!
His belongings fly across the room. Ow! I raise my head to look at who bumped into me, and my heart stops. The scent immediately wafts through my nostrils, is he.. my second chance.. mate?
He is taller than Ronan, and of course looks better than him. He has well shaved brows, his brown eyes pierce deep into my wolf, he has a well chiseled nose like that of an eagle's beak, his red lips are the most kissable I have ever seen.
"Ugh! Do you not watch where you.." he pauses, his eyes finally meeting mine.
I can feel the blush creep up my cheeks as he looks at me like that. My heart skips several beats.
"I like this scent... Your scent," I blurt out. Oh sweet goddess!
His eyes brighten, and I can swear I melted a thousand times! His lips part as if he wants to say something, but he eventually does not. He looks away from me.
Did I offend him? I feel my heart sink, but I muster up courage to say something to him.
"Are you new here? Lost? Let me show you around," my insides scream because I know I might be doing too much.
He does not answer me, instead he goes to pick his bag that has fallen across the room. I suck my lips, what am I doing wrong now? I close the gap between us.
"Are you okay? I am sorry I bumped into you," I apologize, hoping that will at least make him look at me.
"Excuse me, I am sorry" he turns on his heels, walking away.
What? Was he going to walk away like that? Oh, no! I must have annoyed him. I follow him, wanting to make up for it.
"Wait!"
