MAIN STORY:
Ava was thinking about her past while taking a shower. She had run away from home, with a black bag on her back and a guitar in her hand. She had reached a huge mansion, where a watchman had opened the gate for her and greeted her with a hello. Ava had gone straight to her mother, Emily, and asked her where her "boss" was. Ava's mother had told her that he would be arriving soon, as he had a business trip to America.
Ava's father, Johnathan, had entered the house and told Emily to pack their bags, as they were all going to a grand event. Ava had stopped him and asked why he had done this. Her father had looked at her angrily and asked what he should do. He had said he loved her and wanted to be a good father. Ava had replied that she didn't call them mom and dad because they had hidden the truth from her.
Ava's thoughts had flashed back to the present, and she had turned off the shower. She had gotten dressed and gone to the hall, where she saw Ruby making noodles in the kitchen. Ava stood by the wall, watching her, and tears started to well up in her eyes.
Ruby noticed Ava and asked, "Did I do something wrong? I was just making noodles because I was hungry." Ava smiled and said, "No, you didn't do anything wrong. I just remembered my mom making noodles like this when I was hungry."
Ruby asked Ava why she didn't live with her parents, and Ava replied that she wanted to be independent and become a police officer. Ruby asked what had happened, and Ava said she had failed the physical exam. Ruby burst out laughing, and Ava said, "You can't laugh at me like that!"
The two girls started talking and laughing together. Ruby served Ava the noodles, and Ava tasted them and said, "These are not even noodles! There's no salt or spices!" Ruby also tasted them and agreed, "Yeah, they're not that great."
Ava teased Ruby, saying, "You didn't even know how to make noodles!" Ruby hit Ava on the head, saying, "Don't tease me too much, you don't even know who I am!" Ava said, "I'll get to know you tomorrow. I'm very sleepy now, so I'll go to bed. You can sleep in my mom's room, but remember, don't make a mess, or you'll have to clean it up yourself!" Ruby said, "Okay."
Ava went to sleep, and Ruby looked at her, thinking, "She's a weird person, but she's also very nice." Ruby also went to sleep.
The next morning, Ruby woke up to find a cup of tea on the table beside her bed, along with a note that read: "I made the tea very hot, so brush your teeth quickly and come downstairs." The note was from Ava.
Ruby got freshened up and went downstairs, where she found that Ava had already prepared breakfast for her. Ruby walked up to Ava with a smile and asked, "Did you make this breakfast?"
Ava replied, "No, my ghost did." Ruby chuckled and said, "You always give such weird answers." Ava said, "Don't waste your mind on unnecessary things. You have to leave for your home anyway."
Just then, Ava received a call. She picked it up and said, "What's up?" The person on the call told her that she didn't get the job she had applied for. Ava said, "Don't say that, I worked really hard for this job." The person hung up before Ava could finish speaking.
Ruby asked Ava, "What happened?" Ava replied, "I applied for a bodyguard job, but they rejected me because I'm a girl." Ruby remembered that a girl had applied for a bodyguard job at her office, but she had rejected the application, thinking that the job was too risky for a girl.
Ruby asked Ava, "Where did you apply?" Ava said, "At the Singh Group of Industries. Their CEO needs protection, and I need the money." Ruby smiled and said, "Actually, I'm the CEO, and I need to go to India. Will you work for me?" Ava was taken aback and asked, "What kind of work?" Ruby said, "You'll be my bodyguard."
Ava was hesitant at first, but then agreed, saying, "I only agreed because I need the money. If I didn't need it, I wouldn't have agreed to work for you." Ruby smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'll pay you well." Ava smiled back and said, "Just don't take advantage of me." Ruby blushed and said, "I wouldn't do that. You're a girl, after all."
Ava teased Ruby, saying, "If you were a guy, you would have taken advantage of me." Ruby smiled and said, "Let's go have breakfast. I'm starving."
Ava finished breakfast and washed the dishes, then told Ruby, "Go change your clothes, I'll drop you home." Ruby agreed and said, "Okay."
Ruby changed her clothes and came outside, where Ava was waiting for her on a bike. Ava said, "Today, you'll ride on your own, or do I need to force you again?" Ruby laughed and said, "Don't forget, you're my bodyguard now. Does anyone speak to their boss like that?"
Ava replied, "Don't forget, I haven't officially joined yet." Ruby and Ava continued to banter back and forth until the police arrived at the scene.
The police, searching for Ruby, arrived at the scene. A police officer pointed at Ava and asked Ruby, "Miss Ruby, did she kidnap you?"
Ruby grabbed Ava's hand and replied, "She saved my life from those masked men."
Ava and Ruby convince the police that Ava rescued Ruby. The police officer expresses gratitude to Ava and escorts Ruby away.
With their bond stronger than ever, Ava and Ruby go their separate ways. Ava begins training to become a bodyguard, while Ruby arranges a new home for Ava.
