When Desmond was exactly 17 years old, he made an attempt. Despite all the ranks he held and the unlimited number of creatures of different races that followed him, he felt like an inferior human being.
The only reason for this was that he did not possess a magic heart. The organ in which magic is summoned and rings can be created, allows creatures to evolve.
Desmond was so obsessed with it that he had spent years since he was 11 years old trying to work out the formula, only to fail.
He came back from the dead just because of that. Thanks to the sudden help of 4 Sages he had survived, if it hadn't been for them he would have been dead by now.
He was very lucky indeed, that was when Desmond announced that he was joining the academy, all the Sages expressed their surprise, after all, wherever a Sage was, they were looked upon as a holy being.
They were war machines, peacemakers and incredible beings. One of them had even chosen to become an emperor where the other Sages lived so they all could be together.
They were so powerful that they could move continents politically and strategically.
But when Desmond, who was considered the last Sage and nicknamed Sage of Wisdom, said that he wanted to become a professor in the future, all the Sages were greatly surprised.
After all, all the Sages worshipped him. There was something different about him, something that made all of them love him and cherish him.
Naturally, 4 of them chose to come directly to the capital at that time and inspected this place known as Stargazer Magic Academy in detail.
In short, this inspection was a warning, a warning that no one should mess with Desmond.
All the Sages were close to each other, they were like a family, it had always been like that because they were the only ones who could understand each other in this huge universe.
As they all said:
[7 omnipotent, 7 omnipresent.].
As a result, they were able to help Desmond when he was on his deathbed.
However, no way was going to happen this time. Desmond was not the old Desmond, even if Alan had disappeared, his presence and quality remained in the body as tense as his mind.
Thanks to Godnet, he had managed to get help from a god himself.
Of course, even if he didn't believe it 100 per cent, he wanted to use magic, so there was nothing he could do.
"I know what I'm doing, Aether," Desmond said, and at the purity of the smile on his face, Aether could do nothing but sit back down.
Aether herself couldn't remember the last time he had seen him like this, with such a pure smile. It was like he was someone else.
Amid many thoughts, Aether nodded, "On one condition." and then said, "If you allow me to send a letter to each of the Sages, I will fulfil your wishes, at least one person who can protect you must be here. Maybe they will come, maybe they won't, but I have to do this, I cannot forgive myself if anything happens to you, Desmond."
Desmond didn't want to take such a risk, one wrong move and he could be found out for who he was. The real Desmond's ability to remove a soul and replace it with another was a criminal offence after all.
Still, even if Desmond thought he could get all the items, he needed pure dragon blood, and this was the only place to find it.
Epsilon, the vast empire inhabited by dragons considered to be the very embodiment of magic itself, had many friendly dragons under the protection of the imperial family. As he knew before, literal Dragon Gods were here.
In this case, it should have been possible to get ten drops of blood from a dragon with a strong bloodline, even if they were not friendly.
"I accept," Desmond said, and with a nod, Aether replied, "I will get all the items to you as soon as I can, along with the purest dragon blood I can find."
Aether smiled and invited him to stay, but Desmond smiled and replied, "Sorry, I have work to do, I have to prepare after all."
After all this, Desmond involuntarily left the imperial palace and again involuntarily turned to Kris and could not help saying, "The beauty of this palace takes me away from me every time, even if I never show it."
Getting back into the carriage, Desmond soon returned to his mansion and then started scratching his head.
His head ached like crazy, he was beginning to realise that Desmond had almost forgotten some of his memories, it wasn't as if they had been erased of their own accord, he was forgetting some memories.
He didn't know why this was happening, but he realised that the freshness and fullness he had gained when he had arrived here three days ago was starting to disappear.
It was as if the brain itself was planning to retain the necessary memories. Perhaps his soul was becoming accustomed to this world and so his body was trying to adapt, and the brain was part of that.
Desmond had no time for that though, he needed something to teach at school. The new year was about to start and he would have to teach the seniors as well as the juniors.
This would be his first year of teaching, working as a professor at Stargazer Magic Academy.
On top of that, this course was none other than Magic Theorem. The old Desmond must have been really out of his mind, even if he had knowledge of magic, he didn't know enough to teach it.
The only reason the academy had accepted it was because Desmond was a Sage, an SSS-Class teacher, which is indeed considered the highest rank.
After all, he was none other than the Sage of Wisdom himself and even being an SSS-Class teacher, the highest rank, was an insult to him. Another rank might even have to be created for him.
In that case, what kind of maniac would try to disobey him? Especially with the other Sages keeping a close eye on the academy.
There were many things on his mind, of course, hundreds of things about magic that he had seen in person in his memories, but he didn't know if they would be enough to teach the students.
That was why his gaze was drawn elsewhere again, surely he knew where he could best learn magic.
"Godnet," he said, and then, as he had done before, he opened the large window again with a single thought.
He searched for "Magic Theorem teachers" and then clicked on a website that appeared in front of him.
Dozens of teachers were listed in front of him, but one of them caught his attention.
