Chapter 97 - The End of Third Year

The final Quidditch match of the year was a decisive battle between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. With both teams fighting for the Quidditch Cup, the stakes were higher than ever.

Ezekiel, leading Ravenclaw as their star Chaser, played with his usual sharp instincts and flawless coordination with the team. Roger Davies, as captain, had developed a solid strategy that relied on Ravenclaw's superior teamwork and speed.

The match was intense—Slytherin's aggressive tactics made it clear they were determined to win by any means necessary. Their Beaters focused heavily on Ezekiel, attempting to disrupt his play, but his quick reflexes and sharp movements made him nearly impossible to stop.

By the time Ravenclaw's Seeker caught the Snitch, the scoreboard read:

Ravenclaw – 230

Slytherin – 140

The Ravenclaw stands erupted into cheers, their victory securing them the Quidditch Cup for the year. Ezekiel, though satisfied, remained calm—even as his teammates tackled him in celebration.

During the post-match celebration, Alys and Daphne rushed over, eyes shining with excitement.

"You were amazing, Ez!" Alys beamed, practically bouncing.

"I told you Ravenclaw would win," Daphne added smugly.

Ezekiel chuckled, ruffling Alys's hair. "Did you ever doubt it?"

With that, the Ravenclaws rejoiced in their victory, marking another successful season.

As the excitement of Quidditch faded, exam season descended upon Hogwarts like a storm.

For Ezekiel, third-year exams were more challenging than before, but he handled them with a composed mindset, having prepared well in advance.

For Daphne and Alys, their first-year exams were a new experience—Alys, being the studious type, handled them with confidence, while Daphne grumbled about the workload but managed well enough.

After days of stress and studying, the results were finally released.

Ezekiel had top scores in most subjects, particularly excelling in Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration.

Alys scored near-perfect marks, proving herself as one of the brightest in her year.

Daphne did well, though she complained about how "annoying" some of the subjects were—particularly History of Magic.

"Looks like all the studying paid off," Ezekiel commented when he saw their grades.

Daphne rolled her eyes. "I guess. But I still don't see why we need exams."

Alys smirked. "Because not everyone can just breeze through them like Ez."

Ezekiel merely chuckled, content that another year was successfully completed.

The final feast was a grand affair, as always. The Great Hall was filled with an air of excitement and relief, signaling the end of the academic year.

Professor Dumbledore announced the House Cup results, and to no one's surprise, Gryffindor won the House Cup.

While Ravenclaw had come close, it was Harry Potter and his friends' last-minute heroics—saving the Philosopher's Stone—that secured Gryffindor's victory.

Ezekiel, though indifferent to the outcome, observed as the Gryffindor table erupted in cheers, with Harry, Ron, and Hermione at the center of the celebration.

"You don't seem too bothered," Adrian noted, glancing at Ezekiel.

"We won the Quidditch Cup. That's what matters," Ezekiel replied with a small smirk.

As the feast carried on, Ezekiel took in the sight of Hogwarts one last time before summer break. Another year had passed, and though it had its challenges, it was only the beginning.

With third year officially complete, he knew that the next one would be even more eventful—especially with what awaited him outside of Hogwarts.
