Chapter 11: Roham's Friend Nelly
Nelly, Roham's mysterious friend, had infiltrated the palace with ease, her magic allowing her to evade the castle guards. She made her way to the garden, where Roham often retreated to calm his temper.
Roham, still seething from the news about Demi-god Eden's whereabouts, sat amidst his dark roses, their thorns seeming to mirror the turmoil within him. Nelly approached him, her footsteps silent on the gravel path.
"Oh, great god Roham, I might have a solution to your problem," Nelly said, her voice laced with a subtle reverence.
Roham's gaze snapped toward her, his eyes narrowing. "Speak."
Nelly took a deep breath before continuing. "I and my aunt are very powerful blood witches. If you grant my wish, we will help you take down Eden."
Roham's expression remained unreadable, but a hint of interest flickered in his eyes. "I will think about it."
Nelly smiled, seeming to sense that she had piqued Roham's interest. "We reside at the outskirts of this realm, near the border. You can find us at Laura's Mansion – a black and white building with the name boldly written."
Roham nodded curtly, his gaze already drifting back to the darkness within him. "I will send for you."
As Nelly turned to leave, Roham's voice stopped her. "Nelly?"
"Yes, great god?" she replied, turning back to face him.
"What is it that you wish me to grant you in return for your help?" Roham's eyes seemed to bore into her very soul.
Nelly's smile grew wider, her eyes glinting with a hint of mischief. "Oh, great god Roham... I want you to grant me the one thing that has been denied to me for so long – the power to avenge my family's death."
Roham's expression remained impassive, but a spark of intrigue ignited within his eyes. He nodded, his voice low and measured. "I will consider your proposal, Nelly. Do not think that this will come without a price."
Nelly's smile never wavered. "I am willing to pay the price, great god Roham. For the chance to avenge my family, I would do anything."
As Nelly departed, Roham's thoughts turned to the potential alliance with the blood witches. He wondered what secrets Nelly and her aunt might hold, and what the true cost of their assistance would be.
