Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Last War Begins

The world shook.

The sky cracked.

And the earth itself trembled as war erupted.

They came from all sides. Hundreds of Titans. The last survivors of an era that should have ended. The strongest warriors, the most brutal killers, the living weapons that had shaped history—now gathered for one reason.

To kill the Apex Titan.

To end Ethan Kael.

---

The Battlefield of Gods

Haven burned.

What was once a sanctuary—a place built from blood and pain to protect the last remnants of humanity—was now a warzone.

Ethan Kael stood at the heart of the destruction. His silver-white hair was stained with blood, his golden eyes burning like fire as he faced the army before him.

They had come for him. Not for war. Not for conquest.

But for his head.

And he would give them nothing but death.

The first attack came like a storm.

Lucian the Stormborn raised his hand, and the sky split apart.

Black clouds spiraled, lightning erupting in massive arcs. Each bolt was thick as a tree, a million volts of raw power cascading toward Ethan like divine judgment.

Ethan moved.

He vanished, his speed beyond anything human, reappearing miles away in the blink of an eye.

But the moment he landed—Selene was waiting.

From the shadows, she struck.

Her blade, forged from condensed darkness, was aimed for his throat. It was a weapon designed to cut through anything, even the flesh of Titans.

Ethan twisted, catching the blade with his bare hands. The shadowsteel cut deep, but he didn't flinch.

Instead—

He pulled.

Selene's golden eyes widened as Ethan yanked her toward him, his knee slamming into her ribs with enough force to shatter mountains.

She coughed blood—but before Ethan could finish her, a massive fist crashed into him.

Ragnar.

The Unbroken Titan came like an avalanche, his sheer weight and power enough to send Ethan flying through a collapsing building.

Ethan barely had time to recover before the next wave hit him.

Hundreds of Titans charged.

Some wielded flames hot enough to melt steel.

Others commanded frost that could freeze time itself.

Some Titans were walking hurricanes, while others controlled gravity.

But among them—one Titan mattered more than the rest.

The Null Titan.

A man who did not look remarkable. Thin, pale, with cold gray eyes.

But his ability was the most dangerous of all.

As he raised his hand, a pulse of energy exploded outward.

And Ethan felt it.

His power wavered.

His strength diminished.

For the first time in years, he felt weak.

---

Ethan staggered, his golden eyes narrowing. What is this?

His body, which had once felt invincible, was suddenly…slower. His regeneration, which had made him unkillable, felt delayed.

The Null Titan had cut into his very existence.

And that was when they attacked.

Ragnar appeared again, his fist like a meteor, slamming into Ethan's face.

A flash of black lightning, and Lucian's storm followed, tearing through the battlefield, electrifying Ethan's flesh.

Selene struck from behind, her blade sinking into his side.

Vortus came next, his massive hands crushing Ethan like an unbreakable vice.

Then the legions followed.

Not just Titans—but an army.

Enhanced soldiers. Bio-weapons. Cyborg titans. War machines built to slay gods.

And in the middle of it—Ethan Kael stood alone.

Bleeding. Slowed. Weakened.

But he did not kneel.

Instead—

He grinned.

---

The golden glow in Ethan's eyes burned brighter.

Power surged inside him—not from his body, but from something deeper.

From his very will.

He had never needed mercy. Never needed fairness.

Even if his power was stripped away, even if his body was torn apart—

He was still Ethan Kael.

The Apex Titan.

The Butcher of Gods.

And so, he moved.

Faster than light, faster than thought—

Faster than death itself.

---

Slaughter Begins

The next Titan who attacked him never saw it coming.

One moment, he was swinging a blade—the next, his entire arm was missing.

Ethan had ripped it off in an instant, his blade tearing through flesh, muscle, and bone like paper.

The Titan screamed—then Ethan crushed his skull beneath his boot.

Another came. A warrior with flaming wings, his body radiating the power of a living sun.

He launched a beam of pure destruction.

Ethan caught it with his bare hands—and redirected it.

The Titan didn't even have time to scream before his own attack incinerated him.

More Titans charged.

Ethan welcomed them.

He danced through the battlefield, a storm of steel and death, his blade carving through gods.

One Titan tried to freeze him in time—but Ethan shattered time itself, breaking free and slamming his fist through the Titan's chest.

Another tried to drown him in illusions, but Ethan ignored them all, slicing the Titan's head clean off.

Even the Null Titan, the one who had weakened him—was not safe.

Ethan vanished from sight.

And then—reappeared right in front of him.

The Null Titan's gray eyes widened in horror.

He raised his hands to unleash another pulse—

But Ethan was faster.

His fingers dug into the Titan's throat, lifting him off the ground.

The Null Titan struggled, gasping, trying to use his ability—

But Ethan crushed his windpipe.

And then—he snapped his neck like a twig.

The battlefield fell silent.

And in that moment—

Everyone realized the truth.

Even an army of Titans was not enough to kill him.

---

The War Isn't Over

Lucian, Ragnar, Selene, and Vortus watched in horror as Ethan stood tall amidst the corpses of Titans.

He had been weakened.

He had been outnumbered.

He had fought hundreds of enemies at once.

And yet—

He was still standing.

Lucian clenched his fists. "This isn't over."

Ragnar scowled. "We need a new plan."

Selene's voice was cold. "He's still bleeding. We can still kill him."

Vortus said nothing. He only watched Ethan with unreadable eyes.

But deep down—they all felt it.

A feeling none of them had ever known before.

Fear.

Ethan Kael was not a Titan anymore.

He was something far worse.

He was the Apex Predator.

And he was not done killing.

Not yet.
