"Tanyo, where are you?," I ask.
"Right here, madam," Tanyo says, popping up behind me.
"Ah! Jeez, you scared me. Tanyo, can you show the guest to the parlor?," I ask.
"Yes, madam," Tanyo obeys.
"I told you to only call me madam when we're around guests," I say.
"I'm sorry, Mistress Luno," he apologizes.
"Next time, drop the mistress," I say.
"I shall let the guest in," he says.
"The mistress shall be with you shortly," he says, after he let the guest in.
"That she shall," a man says.
"Lord Viren, it's lovely to see you," I greet, through gritted teeth.
"Luno, come here," Lord Viren demands.
"Yes, Lord Viren," I obey, walking towards him.
When I reached Lord Viren, he grabbed my hand, and pulled me into his lap. I didn't say anything, because I knew Tanyo would step in. When Lord Viren tried to kiss me, Tanyo grabbed my wrist, and pulled me into him. He was an entire head taller than me. I stared into his dark, purple eyes. His eyes were like entire galaxies. The more I stared into them, the more I seemed to be lost. His dirty blond hair was a stark contrast of my platinum hair. His hair kinda reminded me of gold smeared with dirt. I could feel his lean muscles under his butler outfit. That was the first time I noticed how muscular he was. His arm was wrapped around my back, really tightly. I had slight trouble breathing. He didn't realize, because his grip tightened. He was the only person outside my family who knew I was a guy. My parents wanted a girl, but got a baby boy. My mother died while giving birth, and my father never remarried. My father died of drinking when I was thirteen. He had hired me a caretaker when I was one, so I've known Tanyo most of my life. He was five at the time, but said he was thirteen. He was always worrying about me because I got hurt a lot. I fell out of trees, fell off rocks, and fell down or tripped on stairs. Since he was constantly looking after me, he didn't really have a childhood. I feel bad about that fact. We never really got along at first, but we started to understand one another after my father died. He told me that the year before he came here, his mother died. His father left soon after. When his father came back, he kicked Tanyo out of the house. The reason was to make room for his new wife and her kids. My father being a kind, patient, and compassionate man, allowed him work and a place to stay, despite knowing Tanyo was younger then he said he was. Whenever father was around, we acted friendly towards one another, and when he wasn't around, we fought, bickered, and argued. After father died, he and I stopped fighting. It's been three years since father died. I'm sixteen and he's twenty. He was quite tall for his age when he was five, so it makes sense he's taller than me. When I was twelve, father called Tanyo to his study. Father wanted Tanyo to be my bodyguard and personal assistant. I was caught spying on them.
"Luno... Luno... Luno!," Tanyo yells, slowly gaining focus.
"Tanyo?," I ask, groggy.
"Thank God, you're okay. You fell asleep and didn't wake up," Tanyo explains, worriedly.
"I'm sor-," I attempt to say, before he hugs me.
He took me by surprise when he hugs me. I stared at him, in astonishment. He looked into my pale-blue eyes, and hugged me tighter. I looked at him, and got a weird feeling in my chest.
"Luno? I should've stepped in sooner. I'm sorry," he says.
"No, I should've said no," I say.
"Lord Viren, is someone no one can deny," he explains.
"I should've tried," I argue.
"I enjoy saving you, though," he breathes in my ear.
He rested his head on my shoulder. I felt my face warm up. The only thing I could think about was how close his lips were to my neck. He fell asleep. At some point I fell asleep, because I awoke in my room.
"Luno, I see you've awakened," Tanyo says.
"T-Tanyo?!," I stutter, startled to see him in my room.
"Yes?," Tanyo inquires.
"If I give you any order you have to follow it, right," I say more then ask.
"Yes?," he responds, confused.
"Come cuddle with me," I order.
"Okay," he says, walking towards the bed.
He layed down next to me, and I scooted closer to him. He flipped me onto my back, and hovered above me. He thought it would scare me, but it didn't. He used one hand to keep my wrists together, and slipped the other up my nightshirt. His hand was ice against my skin. He brought his face closer to mine. Not quite close enough for me to reach. He removed both of his hands, and cupped my face. He brought his lips to mine. They were soft, softer then I thought they were. He was clearly took by surprise when I kissed him back. He stopped, and layed down next to me. I stared at him, and fell back asleep. When I awoke the next morning, I saw his back.
"You smell nice," I mutter.
"Are you awake?," he asks.
"Yes," I respond.
"Can I get up?," he inquires.
"No," I reply.
"Okay," he accepts.
The doorbell rang. I reluctantly let Tanyo off the bed, and watched him leave before I changed. When I was done changing, I went to the parlor.
"Hello, Lord Viren," I greet.
"Lunos, how are you?," Lord Viren questions.
Lunos is my full name.
"Good," I reply.
"Will you come here?," Lord Viren inquires.
"No," I answer.
"That's a first," he mutters.
Tanyo burst out laughing, and I shot him a look. He stopped laughing, and looked away, blushing. I turned my attention back to Lord Viren, and noticed he was walking towards me. Tanyo walked over towards me, and blocked Lord Viren's path. Lord Viren shoved him aside, and I ran towards him.
"Tanyo! Are you okay?," I ask, worried.
"Yeah," Tanyo replies.
"You care more about a commoner then me?," Lord Viren asks, annoyed.
"He has more heart then you," I explain.
"He's a commoner!," Lord Viren shouts.
"I'm a man!," I shout back.
"We all are," Lord Viren explains.
"No, my...," I trail off, as Tanyo puts his hand over my lips.
I kissed the palm of Tanyo's hand. His entire face showed his shock and disbelief. I looked at Lord Viren, and he was rooted in place. Tanyo lowered his hand towards his mouth. He removed his hand, and we kissed. His touches slid around in my mouth, searching out mine. When he tried to back away, I followed him, slipping my tongs I to his mouth.
"You two can't be together," Lord Viren tries to argue.
"Nothing says we can't," Tanyo argues back.
Lord Viren storms out of the manor. There are of course other maids, but they leave the parlor and my bedroom alone.
"Y-y-you want to be with m-me?!," I half scream, half ask.
"So what if I do?," Tanyo asks, obviously confused.
"I-I'm sorry!," I yell, abruptly standing up and headbutting him.
"You should be quite ashamed of yourself. The young mistress is distressed because of what you said," the head maid explains.
"I don't think I can see her," Tanyo says, walking away.
"Just go see her," the head maid commands.
When I reached what I thought was my room, I layed down on the bed. The manor was starting to become dark due to the setting sun, and the maids hadn't turned on the wall lamps. I awoke when I heard the door open. The person who walked in was tall, but that was all I saw before sleep overtook me, again. When I woke up to use the restroom, I saw there bare back, because they were changing. They turned around, and saw I was awake. Before I even had time to react, their hand was covering my mouth. I tried to push them away, but they were too strong. So I bit their hand instead.
"Ugh," Tanyo groans, out of pain.
"Tanyo?," I gasp, confused.
"What're you doing in my room?," Tanyo whispers.
"I thought this was my room," I whisper back.
"Roll over and go to sleep. We'll talk in the morning," Tanyo whispers, a explanation.
"Okay," I say.
"Pay no mind to me," he says.
I roll over, and feel a hand slip over my waist. At the same time, I feel comfort and content slip over me. When I woke up, my face was buried in his chest. He was already awake.
"What're you doing?," I inquire, when I notice his face is coming closer to mine.
"Nothing," he lies.
"Time to get up! Tanyo, go wake the young mistress!," the head maid yells.
"Yes, ma'am," all the maids shout.
"You're the only butler," I mutter.
"Hush!," Tanyo murmured, angrily and harshly.
I nodded, and rolled over.
"Do you have preference for breakfast?," the head maid asks.
"No," the maids scream.
"Toast and jam," Tanyo mutters.
"Let's head to breakfast," the head maid commands.
"When I leave, you leave," Tanyo explains.
"Okay," I agree.
"Please head to the bathroom," Tanyo says, softly.
I go to the tiny bathroom, and wait. I fell asleep waiting. When he came to get me, he wrapped an arm around my back and an arm around my legs. When I woke up in his arms, I tried to jump down, but couldn't. He was holding on too tight.
"Put me down!," I demand, angrily.
"Fine," he puts me down, reluctantly.
After he puts me down, I storm off to my room. He watched me, until I bumped into someone.
"Watch where you're going!," I shout, angrily.
"I'm sorry," they say.
"No, I'm the one who should apologize. I not o ly bumped into you, but also yelled at you," I apologize.
I looked up, and noticed they were a guy. They weren't much taller then Tanyo.
"I heard you guys were hiring butlers," they explain.
"Name?," I ask.
"I uh, don't have one," they say.
"Tukano, Arigachi," I say.
"Tanyo wi show you around," I explain, walking away.
"Okay," Arigachi says.
"She's quite tall for a woman," Arigachi says, after I leave.
Tanyo whirled around, and his fist connected with Arigachi's face.
"She's the young mistress, and she gave you her last name," Tanyo says.
"Doesn't that make us siblings?," Arigachi asks.
"Yes, you and the young mistress are siblings. I'm sorry for punching you. If you're her sibling, you won't have to do any work," Tanyo explains.
"Can I go see the young mistress?," Arigachi asks.
"You are her sibling. You needn't ask a lowly butler to see your sister," Tanyo explains.
"That's weird," Arigachi Mumbles.
"Shall I show you to the dining hall?," Tanyo offers.
"Sure," Arigachi accepts.
"Please follow me, young master," Tanyo says.
"Someone didn't have a name, so I gave him mine," I tell the maids.
"We have a young master, now?," the maids inquire.
"You shall sit here," I command, when Arigachi enters the dining hall.
"Okay," Arigachi sits down.
"Here's your breakfast," Maid A timidly says.
"Thank you. Tanyo, come here," I demand.
"Yes, my lady?," Tanyo asks, confused.
"Here," I offer, shoving a plate of toast and jam towards him.
"W-what?," Tanyo inquires, startled.
"You can have it," I explain.
"Thank you," Tanyo accepts, still confused.
"You have a visitor," Maid C says, with confidence.
"Send them in," I command.
"Lord Viren, what brings you here today? I was not expecting you," I inquire, when he enters the dining hall.
"I heard you gave someone your last name, so I came to visit them," Lord Viren answers.
"Hello, Lord Viren," Arigachi greets.
"Who are you? Wait, you must be the person, to whom her Ladyship gave her last name," Lord Viren answers his own question.
"I'm Tukano, Arigachi," Arigachi introduces himself.
"Lovely to meet you. I'm Lord Viren, as I imagine you've gathered," Lord Viren says.
"Same, my lord," Arigachi says.
"Whats wrong?," I inquire, noticing something was off.
"Nothing," Arigachi responds.
"Would you like some breakfast?," Tanyo offers, linking jam off of his lips.
"No," Lord Viren answers, his voice dripping with contempt.
"Don't you dare speak to anyone in my manor in the tone," I yell, for the first time in a long time.
"Did you just yell at me?," Lord Viren asks, acting like I just hit him.
"Away you three inch fool!," I shout.
"W-why?," Lord Viren asks, scared for his life.
"You yelled at someone in MY manor!," I yell, losing the girlish edge in my voice.
"You've never cared before!," Lord Viren shouts back.
"YOU have never YELLED at someone in my manor before!," I scream, completely losing the girlish voice.
"You're a man?," he asks, astonished.
"So what if I am!?," I yell, in my deepest voice.
I no longer spoke in my girlish voice.
"Young master, let's go get you changed," Tanyo suggests.
We left the dining hall, and went to his room. He grabbed me a shirt and a pair of pants, and tossed them towards me. He left, and I changed. After I washed the makeup off my face, I went back to the dining hall. When I entered the dining hall again, everyone gasped.
"A guy who looks that good with long hair, must be an angel," Arigachi says.
"I'm no angel," I argue.
"Are you perhaps a Demon blessed with angelic beauty, then?," Lord Viren asks.
"No," I answer.
My face flushed deep crimson, but, thankfully, nobody noticed. Tanyo slipped his hand into mine, and our fingers intertwined. The short I had on was big, so it hid my feminine, delicate figure. Everybody was staring at me. My platinum hair and pale-blue eyes shone vividly. I turned around, and walked away. Tanyo followed me, and everyone kept staring at me.
"Whats wrong?," Tanyo asks.
"Everybody was stating at me," I reply.
"Embarrassed?," Tanyo inquired.
"Yes!," I answer, startled.
"Look at me," Tanyo demands.
"Okay," I obey, turning around.
"Are you okay?," he questions.
"No, I'm no-," I say, before he kisses me.
I didn't push him away, so he deepened the kiss. I was surprised to feel his tounge, so I accidentally bit it. He didn't mind, but I could tell it hurt.
"I'm sorry," I apologize, after I caught my breath.
"You're fine," he says.
"Something wrong?," he asks, after he noticed I was staring at him.
"Nope," I lie.
"Let's head to town," he suggests.
"Sure," I agree.
"Do you want to head out now?," he questions.
"I need a cloak," I mutter.
"You could always pretend to be your own brother," he suggests.
"True, but I don't want people staring," I decline.
"Why don't you go?," I ask, after a moment.
"I want to go with you," he explains.
"Help me find a cloak," I say.
"Okay," he says.
We left after we found a cloak.
