Travelling to the body of 11 year old who died while protecting a girl from a goon, Steven Rodrick became a mage when the goon saw he woke up even after a blow from the beer bottle to the head. He wanted to stab the boy and kill him. Unfortunately for him, the boy who is panicked used some kind of force and threw him to the road where he got hit by the truck breaking the man's spine.

Steven is then taken by the cops. The wizarding world sensing th accidental magic came to his door when the cops leave him at the orphanage believing a 11 year can't even do anything to a cold blooded criminal goon. Steven is ecstatic when he found he can use magic but unfortunately ut didn't last long.

Due to awakening magic so later than others, his ability to use it isn't even as good as Neville. His mana core is unstable and cracked source of magic that is barely usable. Steven is unwilling to give up though, he tried alternative ways like potions but Snape showed disdain to him and he became a target for bullying for Slytherin.

He is viewed as a disgrace to Griffyndoor who thought you're too weak to fight against Slytherin. He is also abandoned and don't have any friends. Fred and George played pranks on him. He also lives in a individual dormitory because no one wanted to be with him fearing these two troublemakers who won't sleep unless they play a prank on Steven on daily basis.

Percy at first defended but soon he didn't care about Steven anymore. He even showed disgusted look whenever Steven appears. Overall his 3 year stay at Hogwarts is a disaster. McGonagall ignores him most of the time and stopped responding to his complaints too. Draco Malfoy follows him as a target practice to use his magic.

Steven felt his world isn't good. He is so angry one time that he tried to commit suicide only ti fail when his mana core used accidental magic to save him. Steven laughed at his own fate, he wanted to tear everything apart, the Griffyndoor, the Slytherin. He wanted to take revenge but what can he do?

So instead of using magic he used his tactics and pranked the whole Slytherin by mixing potions into their food. To do this, he brewed poly juice potion with painstaken effort and used Fred or George's hair to transform into them. The elves reported it's the twins.

This caused the tension to escalate as pranks like that played many times and the twins detention increased. Suspicions grew, so Steven stopped. The twins suffered in the hands of Snape and McGonagall while the Slytherin drinking and eating those potion infused drinks and food also suffered.

But the twins narrowed their suspect list to Steven. Pranks on him increased which made him enraged. He felt hopeless when everyone laughed at him, even the professors who should have taken action. In the room of requirement, he finally made a decision. That is releasing voldemort with the diadem.

He doesn't about the consequences anymore. But as he got near the diadem a notification appeared :

[ Suitable source of magic has been detected to repair the system ]

[ Do you wish to proceed and consume the soul fragment in order to repair the system? ]

Steven cursed many times when he saw this and angrily asked," why didn't you respond all these years? ".

[ The system is hibernating while taking magic to repair itself ]

[ The system is supposed to grant the host a perfect wizard core ]

[ But the system sustained too much damage and can only grant a normal magic core ]

[ As a result when the host used it in extreme the core cracked and without proper medium to recharge the power, the system went into hibernation ]

Steven panicked and said," quickly absorb the external source ", the diadem is lifted and a vortex is formed. As the diadem is absorbed the system voice sounded :

[ Absorbing the diadem ]

[ System repair complete ]

[ System recharge complete ]

[ Destiny tied to the cursed artifact has been absorbed ]

[ All system functions are online ]

[ Connecting to th main database of reincarnation council ]

[ Energy channel has been established ]

[ System logs are being transferred to the main database ]

[ After review of the system logs, the main database will send compensation according to the loss ]

[ Meanwhile the system can replace the normal core with the perfect wizard core for host ]

[ And can also offer the filtered knowledge & abilities from the soul fragment to the host ]

[ The special function of the Rowena Ravenclaw diadem - memory palace will be given to host ]

Steven sighed in relief and agreed. A warmth generated in his body and he felt a rush of memories and his body felt like it's getting used to certain movements. Previously no matter how much he trained his spell powerbis at it's weakest among the wizards and even if it hit someone, the effect is only 20% compared to others spells.

Now the core in his body is replaced and perfected. He can feel the magic inside him, it's no longer the meager and narrow tendrils of magic. It's the pure quality of magic that is flowing like a stream instead of a line. Steven is ecstatic, he took his wand with an astonishing speed and hit the dummy in front of him.

A simple experlliamus spell knocked it many steps away and it's wand flew into his hand. Steven chuckled to himself and started laughing hysterically as his eyes turned cold. This feeling is a little intoxicating. Steven used many kinds of spells, stunning charm, petrification, smashing charm, knockback jinx, elemental spells, shielding charms, and finally ended with a simple reducto.

The dummy burned to ashes and he smiled. His hardwork finally paid off. While these guys are all enjoying, he alone studied day and night without caring about his health. He eagerly waited for improvement, practicing spells day by day to see his own progress, worked until he is exhausted and finished the books until the seventh year of Hogwarts.

His efforts are so many yet in a single day he gained what he eagerly waiting for. With a smile Steven left the room of requirement. He head straight towards the kitchen to grab something to eat and came back to practice. He can't slack off afterall.
