Boys adjusted their ties, and some girls hurriedly applied more makeup, desperate to catch his attention. Phones flashed as students scrambled to take pictures. Alex Lumien wasn't just rich—his family was among the wealthiest in the world.
The commotion came to a halt when the teacher entered, her stern voice demanding order.
"Silence, everyone," she said before turning to Alex. "Introduce yourself."
Alex smirked slightly before speaking, his deep voice smooth and controlled. "I'm Alex Lumien. Nice to meet you all."
Some girls nearly fainted.
The teacher glanced around the classroom. "You'll sit with Luv."
Luv, who had been too engrossed in his book to notice the chaos, finally looked up. Unlike everyone else, he didn't react to Alex's presence. He had no idea who Alex Lumien was, nor did he care.
As Alex made his way to the empty seat next to Luv, a wave of resentment filled the room.
"Why should he get to sit with Alex?" one girl hissed.

But the teacher's voice was firm. "Luv is one of our best students. He can help Alex maintain his grades."
