Chapter 1 - Chapter One: Ravena

There is one thing between me and the gateway to the most prestigious wizarding school. And that is a brick wall. Right now I feel stupid, I suppose. What if there isn't Platform Nine and Three Quarters? What if I just run into a wall and abruptly fall to the floor, looking and feeling like an utter idiot? Of course, my brothers don't seem to have this problem. "Let's go!" yells Prube, my younger brother, rattling his trolley impatiently. Shaun and Finner giggle excitedly, rattling their trolleys as well as their toads croak in alarm. "Alright, boys, calm down!" Dad calls, striding across to them. I look up, rather in awe, of my strong, powerful father, his toned muscles alive in the dappled light of the station. Albus Potter. Forever known not as Albus, but Harry Potter's son, the One Who Lived. He had a lot to live up to, and he did. He was captain of the Quidditch Team, best in his house, praised by all the teachers. So now I've got a whole lot of legacy to live up to. As Dad settles my brothers, I sidle over to Grandfather. He smiles crookedly, leaning on his cane. Though he may be old, you can tell he used to be a handsome man: faint traces of strength are left in his papery hands, and his angular cheekbones still proudly protrude from his rounded face. "I just don't know how I'll live up to the Harry Potter!" I laugh, as he ruffles my ink black curls. "Especially after the Harry Potter monument!" cackles Grandma. She's sharp as a knife, with a wicked sense of humour yet still a distinct air of warmth and comfort. She seems to also be able to read minds, because I know she can tell I'm nervous, especially with the Harry Potter statue, which is true. It's just… there's so much to live up to. My grandfather and my father have all done great things with their time in Hogwarts, and it's not like any of my brothers will even give it a second thought. And I know deep down I'm Grandfather 's favourite, which leads to the river of worry flowing through me: will I have to live up to Harry Potter? The One Who Lived? As if sensing my nerves, Grandfather places a steady hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry, Ravena. You're perfect as you are, all yu have to do at Hogwarts is show everyone who you are." Looking into his sharp yet sparkling eyes, I feel a spark of comfort ignite in me. Now all I have to do is get through the wall, and I'm done. With a deep breath, I follow and my parents brothers through the seemingly ordinary brick wall, and it swallowing me in with it, closing as quickly as it had opened.
