Kaito expected things to settle after his fight, but Jinsei High wasn't the kind of place where things "settled."
By lunchtime, half the school had already heard about the new guy who beat down a group on his first day.
By the time classes ended, people were already taking bets on how long he'd last.
And by evening, he had an unexpected visitor.
"Yo, rookie."
Kaito looked up from his seat at the rooftop's edge. Riku stood there, but he wasn't alone. A boy in a dark red jacket with scars across his knuckles leaned against the doorway.
"Name's Daigo." The boy's voice was rough. "I run the Red Fangs. We're lookin' for fresh blood."
Kaito arched an eyebrow. "And?"
Daigo grinned. "You're a free agent right now. But that won't last. Join us before someone else forces you into their crew."
Kaito exhaled. "I don't take orders."
Daigo's grin widened. "Good. Neither do we."
Riku sighed. "You really love causing problems, huh?"
Kaito smirked. "Maybe."
The world of Jinsei High was starting to open up.
And Kaito was ready to walk straight into the fire.
