Chapter 1 - The First Test

The school gates loomed before him—rusted metal, dented from years of fights, covered in half-faded graffiti.

Jinsei High.

A place where teachers had given up, rules didn't matter, and gangs ran the halls. Where only the strong walked free.

And this was where his brother once stood at the top.

He exhaled slowly, hands in his pockets, his thumb brushing against the worn-out tag on his bag. His only luggage—a single change of clothes and his fists.

A few students stood near the entrance, leaning against their bikes, cigarettes in hand. Their eyes flickered toward him. Sizing him up.

A couple of them smirked. Fresh meat.

But he wasn't just any new kid.

He was here for a reason.

And soon, they'd all know his name.

"Hey. You new here?"

A voice. Low, rough.

MC barely turned before a heavy hand clamped onto his shoulder.

A senior—tall, built like a brawler, with a scar running down his chin.

"Don't remember seeing your face before," the guy sneered. "And we don't like strangers walking in like they own the place."

MC slowly looked at the hand on his shoulder. A test.

There were two types of people in Jinsei High.

The ones who let themselves be pushed around.

The ones who pushed back.

His fingers curled into a fist.

Then, he swung.

A sickening crack. Blood splattered.

The senior stumbled back, gripping his nose, eyes wide with shock.

Silence.

Then—chaos.

"Yo, he just decked Saito!"

"Is this guy insane?!"

Footsteps rushed in. Students circled them, eager for blood.

Saito wiped his nose, glaring at his blood-stained fingers. Then he grinned.

"You've got some balls, newbie."

MC said nothing. He didn't come here to talk.

Saito lunged forward, fists swinging.

A mistake.

MC stepped in, slipped past his guard, and drove an elbow into his gut. The air rushed out of Saito's lungs. He staggered, gasping.

The crowd roared.

"Shit, Saito's getting wrecked!"

"Who the hell is this guy?!"

MC didn't stop. He grabbed Saito's collar and slammed his knee into his jaw.

The senior's head snapped back, and he collapsed onto the pavement.

Silence.

Then, whispers.

"He took Saito down in three hits..."

"Yo, this guy's no joke."

MC adjusted his bag strap.

Jinsei High had noticed him now.

And that was just the beginning.

As the crowd murmured, another voice cut through.

"Oi, oi... what's all this noise about?"

A new figure pushed through the circle—taller, lean, with sharp eyes that screamed trouble.

A senior. Someone important.

"That kid just knocked out Saito," one of the students said.

The senior's gaze locked onto MC. Cold. Calculating.

"And who the hell are you?"

MC met his stare. Unshaken.

Then, he finally spoke.

"A nobody."

For now.

But soon, Jinsei High would know exactly who he was.

And why he came here.
