The next morning, the three boys stood outside their café, staring in awe at the new two-floor structure Renji had built for them. The once small, cozy shop now looked bigger and more welcoming, with warm lights glowing from the windows and a fresh signboard displaying the café's name.
Haru, Leo, and Riku stepped inside, running their hands along the smooth wooden counters and admiring the new furniture and decorations. The smell of freshly brewed coffee mixed with the scent of vanilla cakes and warm pastries.
Leo spun around, grinning. "Our café looks so cool now!"
Riku crossed his arms and smirked. "Not just cool. It looks professional! We are officially businessmen now."
Haru, always the most sentimental, wiped a tear. "We have worked so hard. This is our dream coming true."
Just then, Renji walked in, dressed in his usual business suit, looking at the boys with his calm, unreadable expression.
"Are you satisfied with the expansion?" he asked, adjusting his tie.
Leo and Riku nodded quickly, but Haru stepped forward with a serious face. "We have an idea."
Renji raised an eyebrow. "Go on."
A Special Place for Kids
Haru took a deep breath before explaining.
"Many families visit our café, but parents struggle to enjoy their time because their kids get bored. We want to make the second floor a place just for children—a small world where they can play, learn, and have fun while their parents relax downstairs."
Riku clapped his hands excitedly. "We'll have a play area with lots of toys, colorful walls, and even small tables where they can eat comfortably!"
Leo added, "And our Granny will be the one to take care of them. She's great with kids, and she would love to be part of this."
Renji listened carefully, his expression unreadable. For a moment, the boys thought he would reject their idea, but then he simply nodded.
"That's actually a good idea."
The boys cheered in excitement, high-fiving each other.
Transforming the Second Floor
The next few days were busy. Workers came in with bright-colored paints, assembling small chairs and tables. Shelves were filled with storybooks, puzzles, and soft toys. A tiny reading corner was set up with cushions, and a mini slide was placed near the window.
Granny, wearing her apron, supervised everything with a warm smile. "This will be the best place for little angels," she said, placing a row of teddy bears on a low shelf.
The boys helped in every way possible. Haru arranged the toys, Riku organized the small tables, and Leo painted a sign that read:
"Welcome to the Kids' Corner! A Happy Place for Little Hearts!"
Finally, after hours of hard work, the second floor was ready. It looked bright, cheerful, and full of life.
Opening Day
The next morning, the café doors opened, and families began to arrive. A woman entered with her two small children—a boy and a girl, both looking restless.
Haru quickly greeted her. "Ma'am, we have a special place upstairs for kids. Would you like us to take them there while you enjoy your time?"
The woman's face lit up. "Oh? That would be wonderful!"
Riku gently took the children's hands and guided them upstairs. The moment they saw the toys, their faces sparkled with excitement.
"Wow! There's so much to play with!" the little girl said, running toward a dollhouse.
The boy grabbed a toy airplane and laughed in joy.
Granny smiled and patted their heads. "You two have fun now, okay?"
Downstairs, the mother finally sat peacefully, sipping her coffee. Other parents saw this and became curious. Soon, more families arrived, and kids happily ran to the second floor, leaving their parents to enjoy their time in the café.
Leo, watching everything, grinned. "Our idea was a success!"
Haru nodded. "Now, both kids and adults love our café."
Renji, who had been sitting quietly in a corner, finally spoke. "You boys have good business sense. You think about your customers' needs first. That's the key to success."
The three boys beamed with pride.
A Café for Everyone
As days passed, the second floor became a favorite place for kids, and the café's popularity grew even more. Parents felt comfortable bringing their children, knowing they had a safe and fun space.
One evening, as they were closing up, Riku looked around the café and sighed. "We started with nothing… and now we have this amazing place."
Leo patted his shoulder. "Yeah, and this is just the beginning!"
Haru smiled, looking up at the bright café sign glowing in the night. "This place isn't just ours. It belongs to everyone who comes here."
Under the warm lights of their café, the three boys stood together, dreaming of even bigger things to come.
