Ace stood in a secluded alleyway, carefully scanning his surroundings to ensure no cameras or people were nearby. With a subtle gesture, he canceled his armor, a sense of relief washing over him. He had successfully defeated another Grongi and saved a child, a mission that filled him with quiet satisfaction.
After a month of dedicated training and inner struggle, Ace had finally unlocked Kuuga's Mighty Form. The achievement brought a wide grin to his face.
"Getting to become Kuuga is so cool..." he muttered to himself, his eyes sparkling with a mixture of excitement and determination.
Just as he was about to head home, a voice called out from behind him, breaking the momentary silence of the alley. Ace paused, his body instinctively tensing.
"Hmm... you've finally embraced your destiny as Kamen Rider. Interesting."
A mysterious figure stood before Ace, his dark coat and wide-brimmed hat casting deep shadows across his face. Ace recognized him immediately: Narutaki, the enigmatic character from Kamen Rider Decade, a prophet with profound knowledge of the multiverse.
"Narutaki!" Ace exclaimed, his voice trembling with a mixture of shock and excitement.
The mysterious man simply nodded, his stern expression remaining unchanged. "Indeed."
Ace's mind raced with curiosity. "What brings you here?" he asked, intrigued by the unexpected appearance of such a legendary figure.
A cryptic smile played across Narutaki's lips. "I am here to assist you," he replied, his words carrying a weight of mysterious intention that left Ace both fascinated and slightly unnerved.
"Assist me?" Ace inquired, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.
"I'm sure you're aware of Dai-Shocker," he said, his tone matter-of-fact yet laden with underlying tension.
Ace nodded. "A multiversal threat intent on conquering every reality," he responded, recalling the stories he had heard. "They destroyed my world."
"I know," he said softly. "And I was the one who saved you."
Ace's eyes widened. "You saved me?" he asked, a mix of gratitude and confusion coloring his words.
"Yes," Narutaki confirmed. "I couldn't allow a young Rider like you to perish so easily. The Aurora Curtain allows me to traverse multiverses, to intervene when necessary."
Overwhelmed with emotion, Ace bowed deeply. "Thank you for saving me," he said, his voice thick with gratitude. "But why couldn't you save more people from my world?"
Narutaki's expression grew somber. "Even I have limits," he explained. "If Dai-Shocker were to notice me, they would hunt me down. I saved who I could, but the cost of saving everyone would have been too great."
A moment of understanding passed between them. Ace, though still bearing the pain of loss, recognized the complexity of multiversal conflicts.
"I understand," Ace said finally, his voice quiet but resolute. The weight of his lost world hung in the air.
Ace looked at Narutaki with a mixture of curiosity and concern. "Narutaki-san, how did things become like this? I always thought Dai-Shocker was something from stories."
Narutaki's expression grew serious. "Each world was never meant to connect with another. There's a risk of mutual destruction when different realities intersect."
"But Dai-Shocker is now conquering more worlds," Narutaki continued, his voice tinged with a hint of frustration. "Many worlds have already been lost."
"Didn't Kadoya Tsukasa-san and the other Riders defeat them before?" Ace asked, his voice hopeful.
A flicker of annoyance crossed Narutaki's face at the mention of Tsukasa. "Yes, Decade and the other Riders have defeated Dai-Shocker in the past, but they have resurrected!"
"Resurrected?" Ace repeated, his eyes widening.
"A new leader has emerged," Narutaki explained, "and we don't know who it is. The other Riders are fighting in different worlds, but we are losing ground. We can't protect every reality."
The news of Dai-Shocker's renewed threat alarmed Ace, but when he heard about other Riders, excitement bubbled up inside him. "Other Riders? Does that mean Tsukasa and the others are real?! Can I meet them?"
Narutaki's response was sharp. "They are real, but you cannot meet them right now. And why would you want to meet Decade?"[Narutaki]
Ace couldn't help but smile. "Of course, I'm a fan of him. Do you still hate Tsukasa?"
"He is the destroyer of worlds!" Narutaki exclaimed, reflexively uttering his iconic phrase. "Onore Decade!"
The familiar words made Ace chuckle. "You know that's not all that he is."
Narutaki's expression softened slightly. "I know, but that still does not change the fact that he is the destroyer of worlds."
Tsuaka Kadoya, also known as Kamen Rider Decade, debuted in 2009. Decade travels to different Kamen Rider worlds as they begin to merge, which leads to the destruction of both worlds. Narutaki serves as an antagonist in the series because he believes Decade is the cause of this devastation. Although Narutaki has mixed feelings about Decade, those feelings have softened over time.
A look of determination crossed Ace's face as he contemplated the ongoing battle. "Should I go and help the other Riders?" he asked, his voice filled with an eager anticipation to join the fight against Dai-Shocker.
Narutaki's response was sharp and decisive. He shook his head, his eyes reflecting a deep understanding of the young hero's limitations. "No, you are not strong enough yet," he replied, his voice firm with the weight of experience. "Dai-Shocker is a formidable foe, and the other Riders are struggling to contain them. You just became a Kamen Rider. You will not be able to help them."
"I see," he said softly, his brow furrowing with a mix of frustration and acceptance. "Then what should I do?"
"You must get stronger in this world," he said firmly. "Dai-Shocker has already begun to conquer it, and I leave it to you to stop their advance."
Ace's eyes narrowed with determination. "I will surely protect this world," he declared, his voice resolute. The weight of Narutaki's words settled upon him, spurring him to action.
"Good, and these belong to you."
Narutaki handed over a collection of documents to Ace. They were his identification papers for this world—a bank account, passport, and school I.D., among others.
"These should have arrived with you when you entered this world," Narutaki explained, his expression serious. "But there was an accident during the transfer."
Ace examined the documents with careful attention. "It's alright, Narutaki-san. I'm just grateful to have them now." His eyes lingered on the school identification card. "A school?"
"You must integrate into this world," Narutaki replied matter-of-factly. "Besides, someone your age should be attending school."
"I understand," Ace nodded, accepting the responsibility.
Narutaki's stern expression softened slightly. "I have one final gift for you."
An Aurora Curtain materialized before them, its ethereal light illuminating the area. Through its shimmering veil emerged a motorcycle that made Ace's eyes widen with recognition.
"The Trychaser!" he exclaimed.
The machine before him was the Trychaser 2000, Kuuga's legendary Rider Machine. Its sleek design and powerful frame were exactly as Ace remembered from the show, where Yusuke Godai had used it to pursue and battle the Grongi.
"Amazing..." Ace whispered, running his hands along the bike's smooth surface, inspecting every detail with wonder.
"Can I really have it?" he asked, his voice filled with a mix of hope and disbelief.
"Of course," Narutaki confirmed. "A Kamen Rider isn't complete without his motorcycle."
Ace mounted the bike and turned the key. The engine roared to life, its powerful rumble sending thrills through his body. The feeling was beyond anything he could have imagined.
"I must take my leave now," Narutaki announced. "Other worlds require my attention. I'll return periodically to check on your progress."
"Yes, thank you, Narutaki-san," Ace replied with genuine gratitude.
Narutaki acknowledged him with a simple nod before stepping through another Aurora Curtain, disappearing into its ethereal light.
"Time to head back to Pole Pole," Ace said to himself, starting the Trychaser's engine. The bike purred beneath him as he guided it toward the café, ready to begin this new chapter in his journey.
