Chapter 29 - You Are the Captain Supreme

"Sir, the host has successfully been injected with the T-Virus. Monitoring physiological changes in real-time."

Red Queen's voice echoed within Gene Mason's neural network.

However, the T-Virus injected into Peter Parker wasn't just an ordinary T-Virus—it contained Gene's latest creation: nanobots.

These microscopic machines, once inside the body, could monitor all biological parameters in real time. More than that, they could attach themselves to the spine and sever neural transmissions from the brain—in other words, complete and total mind control.

"Maintain continuous surveillance."

Gene smiled as he gave his command.

...

"Who... am I?"

Steve Rogers slowly opened his eyes. Above him, cold metallic lights flickered, their glow harsh and unfeeling.

Strange machines surrounded him—devices he did not recognize. A sterile lab.

"You're awake, Captain Supreme."

A red holographic figure materialized before him, its expression carrying an unmistakable hint of excitement.

"…Captain Supreme?"

Steve furrowed his brows. The word "Captain" stirred something deep within him—fragments of a past life.

Yes… People did call him Captain before.

"Sir, Captain Supreme has regained consciousness," Red Queen reported. "However, due to the extreme intensity of his battle with the enemy, his memory is partially damaged."

As Steve tried to process this information, a man stepped forward.

A man whose face immediately triggered something within him.

"You're… Gene Mason."

Steve's voice came out instinctively. The name—he knew it. He didn't know why, but it came to him without hesitation.

Gene chuckled. "Looks like our Captain's memory isn't completely lost after all."

"…You're… the Leader."

More flashes of memory surged through Steve's mind. Scenes of war.

Himself, clad in Umbrella Corp's battle armor, standing against overwhelming forces.

His shield, emblazoned with the Umbrella logo, clashing against unknown enemies.

Self-sacrifice.

And—his brothers-in-arms.

One stood out—the Mandarin, the warrior whose ten mystical rings wielded unfathomable power. Steve had admired those rings…

Bit by bit, his past was returning.

Steve's once-dazed gaze sharpened.

At this moment, he knew who he was—he was the Captain Supreme.

Across the room, he spotted it—his red-and-white battle suit, adorned with Umbrella Corporation's insignia.

And beside it… his shield.

His proof. His identity.

Gene glanced at Red Queen and smirked. "Looks like our Captain has fully recovered."

Red Queen smiled in return. "Captain, you should rest for now."

"The company has important missions for you soon."

Steve didn't hesitate. His fingers closed around the Umbrella shield, gripping it tightly.

"This shield… proves who I am."

His resolve was unwavering.

...

"Physical Enhancements: Complete."

As Steve adjusted to his restored identity, Red Queen continued her reports.

"After fusing with the modified T-Virus, Steve Rogers' endurance has increased by 500%. His burst strength has increased by 1000%. His raw physical strength has increased by 1000%."

"In short—he is now the physically strongest human on Earth."

In the training room, Steve drove his fist into a reinforced combat dummy.

Boom!

The machine shattered on impact.

Red Queen nodded in satisfaction.

"There were no adverse mutations. The T-Virus fusion was seamless."

"This proves that the sir's improvements to the T-Virus have successfully removed all unwanted mutagenic side effects."

___

Meanwhile, another report came in.

"Sir, Peter Parker's fusion process has reached 80% completion."

"The Mandarin's clone is also developing smoothly…"

Inside the Hive, multiple projects were running simultaneously.

Suddenly, an alert sounded from another division.

"Creator, we have successfully decoded the source of the Ten Rings' power."

At that moment, a stream of data flooded Gene's neural network.

He quickly began running simulations within his own consciousness.

___

As Gene processed the Ten Rings' secrets, an anomaly occurred—one that shook the global scientific community.

Across the world, every supercomputer cluster suddenly went into overdrive.

Countries, corporations, even military networks—all their computational resources were hijacked in an instant, working at full capacity.

"What's going on?!"

"The supercomputers are running at over 100% utilization?!"

"My God, is this another cyber-attack?!"

"Impossible! There's no breach—no digital footprint at all!"

"This is insane! What the hell is happening?!"

Within ten minutes, the anomaly ceased.

Every system returned to normal.

But when scientists checked their logs—there was nothing.

No traces. No evidence.

It was as if… the entire event had been a ghost.

…..

Back in the Hive, an unnatural coldness radiated from Gene's body.

The temperature in the lab plummeted.

Water vapor condensed into ice, frost coating the ground around him.

Then—power surged.

The Ten Rings' secrets unraveled before him.

He understood everything.

Red Queen and Skynet spoke in unison.

"Congratulations, Sir."

Gene simply smiled.

"…Trivial tricks."

To him, the Mandarin's treasured artifacts were nothing more than child's play.

…..

Gene turned his attention to a new project—combining the Ten Rings' power with magic and advanced technology.

Meanwhile, deep within the Hive, another breakthrough occurred—

A clone of the Mandarin stepped out of its incubation pod.

Not long after, Steve Rogers and this new Mandarin began training together.

For Steve, nothing was more thrilling than pushing his strength to the limit under the Mandarin's mystical enhancements.

The pieces were falling into place.

And the world had no idea what was coming next.
