Dylan decided to give it a try.
He pulled a Galleon from his backpack.
Sure enough, as soon as he willed it,
the Galleon in his hand vanished.
When he checked the system panel,
the **[Money]** section now displayed the amount of Galleons he had.
Delighted, Dylan immediately deposited all the money he had on him, including the pounds his parents had given him, into the system.
He also stored all the items he had purchased.
"This system is great. I don't even need a space ring or any external item to store my things, which means no one can steal them from me."
What's more, by storing his money in the system panel, he could avoid keeping it in Gringotts.
Accessing Gringotts vaults wasn't easy. Every time you wanted to use them, or even just deposit money, there was a cost.
Dylan had no intention of being a sucker.
As for the inventory, it allowed him to store his items freely, which was another great feature.
Dylan was very pleased.
Looking at the increased amount of money on the panel and his now-full inventory,
he was ready to keep going and fill them even more.
He glanced at the next reward.
Things like **Magic Affinity** and **Potion Affinity** were quickly skimmed over.
Then he turned his attention to the other two areas on the system panel:
the **Robe Customization Zone** and the **Wand Customization Zone**.
These two zones weren't under the wizard hat icon but were instead located under the wand icon.
When he opened them, a new prompt appeared:
——————————
**[Name]**: Dylan Hawkwood
**[Spells Available for Refinement]**: None
**[Wands Available for Customization]**: 1
**[Robes Available for Customization]**: 1
——————————
The **Robe Customization Zone** was still grayed out.
This was because he had only just ordered his robes today, and it would take some time before he could collect them.
After a moment of thought,
Dylan clicked into the **[Wand Customization]** section.
He discovered that this feature simply allowed him to spend money to customize his wand's appearance.
This included its look, color, and even the color of the magic it emitted.
"This…"
Dylan initially thought this feature was useless, but then he reconsidered.
If he could change the color, did that include making it colorless?
If he could make the magic emitted from his wand invisible,
wouldn't that make it easier for him to use various dark spells?
He glanced at the cost.
"What? Changing one setting costs 100 Galleons??"
He felt like the system had gone mad.
An achievement system shouldn't be this greedy, right?
And it even charges you!
Dylan looked at the wand he had just bought.
"Forget it. I'll worry about this when I have more money."
Next, he clicked into the grayed-out **[Robe Customization]** section.
Although this feature was unavailable since he hadn't received his robes yet,
it didn't stop him from checking out what it could do.
Like the wand section, it allowed him to spend money to design his robes' appearance.
However, there was something special about it:
once he put on the robes, he could even alter his own appearance.
This included changing his hairstyle, the style of the robes, and even applying various types of makeup.
Similarly, each change cost 100 Galleons.
"This is truly a money pit…"
Each change counted as a separate setting.
For example:
Changing his hairstyle? 100 Galleons.
Applying makeup? 100 Galleons.
Switching the robe's style? Another 100 Galleons.
And these changes weren't permanent.
If he wanted to revert to a previous look, he'd have to pay again.
Dylan sighed.
"Well, if it can be solved with money, it's not a real problem. These features will definitely come in handy later when I have more funds."
In fact, both the wand and robe customization features would be incredibly useful for his future plans.
But the sudden introduction of these features made Dylan wonder…
Was the system trying to turn him into a dark lord who would raid Gringotts to fund his spending spree?
"Out of all the rewards, my favorite is still the 100 Galleons…"
That was equivalent to several hundred pounds, which would take his family quite some time to earn!
"Moo~" Little Shadow, seeing his master alternating between laughter and frustration, let out a soft sound.
"Are you hungry?" Dylan smiled.
He took out some food.
He hadn't dared to buy any pet food from the magical creature shop earlier.
After all, he had gone there to ask the shopkeeper about how to care for Little Shadow.
If he hadn't bought a pet but only asked about food, it might have raised suspicions.
He didn't want to take that risk.
After feeding Shadow,
Dylan returned him to the system's pet space.
"Getting a license isn't going to be easy. I might as well get some sleep."
With that, Dylan went straight to bed.
The next morning,
Dylan pulled out the books he had bought from Flourish and Blotts.
He wanted to use the month before school started to get a head start on his studies,
hoping to learn a few spells in advance.
"I wonder if Harry Potter is in the same year as me."
Dylan didn't dwell on this question for too long.
After all, he'd find out once school started.
With his six max-level spells,
learning the standard beginner-level spells felt like a breeze.
He could easily master them in no time.
"The Levitation Charm?"
After studying it for a while,
Dylan tried to make the book in front of him float.
Holding his wand, he gave it a light tap.
"Wingardium Leviosa!"
Whoosh!
The magic within him flowed precisely into the wand and was released,
wrapping around the book in front of him.
"Huh? It worked on the first try?"
Dylan was pleasantly surprised.
But before he could celebrate,
perhaps because he had output too much magic,
or because he had been continuously channeling it,
the book, which only needed a small amount of magic to levitate,
began to tremble slightly.
Then, with a *thud*, it fell back onto the desk.
"Hmm… I need to control my magic more carefully."
Having successfully cast his first spell,
Dylan was so excited that he kept practicing on the textbook in front of him.
He also noticed something else.
After learning the Levitation Charm,
it appeared on his system panel.
However, unlike the other spells,
this one had a notation beside it:
**Levitation Charm (3/10)**.
It seemed to indicate his proficiency with the spell.
