The Stars We Saw That Day

"Dobedobedodo.... Ahaaaaaaaaaah....." Saya was singing happily while trying to make breakfast. Here in her little house in the middle of the woods, even if she shouted all the lyrics to the song, all she would disturb are the small animals that occasionally wander in this part of the forest. "Ha...." she let out her breath while looking at the vast greenery that she could see through the small window in her kitchen. "I better hurry up or I might miss the morning market". As soon as she said that, she quickened her pace. She ate her breakfast, she locked her door and donned her robes and mask to cover her face. She had her small bag full of herbs that she grew on her own, all set for journey to the town where she sells her items for money. "Better not sell to that Donny brat. The F*ck he means by witch? And that Liargo. Hmph! What does he mean by wrinkly old lady? This beauty right here is offended. I have not put face masks for seven days and seven nights just to be called wrinkly by a pasty, lanky and stinky fish vendor." she castigated while walking down the path to the town. "These town folks really do have quite an imagination, just because i lived in the woods, do not show my face and sells medicine and herbs, I am now a witch!?" she said incredulously. "I am but a poor girl trying to make a living in this god forsaken world. But it's really been too long. I think I have been in this world for 2 years already, and at first I was afraid, I was petrified....." then she continued "Thinking I could live without you by my side and after spending nights thinking how you did me wrong I grew strong and I learned how to get along" and just as she was about to break into a full sing and dance performance, she noticed a golden patch hiding behind a bush. "OMG, what's this!?" she exclaimed. "Is this a rare herb? But i knew almost all the herbs here in this woods. Hmmmm... maybe a new species of mushroom? No, I think it's hairy, could be a beast or a wild animal. If it's a beast, maybe I could sell it in town? Many people buy a hunters game." She cautiously tried to check what the patch was, she walked slowly and grabbed a branched that was near to use for prodding. Saya then use the branch to hit the bush slowly and gauge the reaction of the golden patch, when she saw that there was no reaction, she then courageously walked up to see what it was. "What the hell!" she exclaimed. "What's a grown a*s man doing here sleeping in the middle of nowhere? Is he trying to set up an ambush? Huh? Who can he ambush here I'm the only one who lives here? Gosh! Is he trying to ambush me? Maybe eradicate the witch for the sake of justice?" Saya let her thoughts grow wild. If there is anything that Saya is rich in, it would be imagination. "He's too sloppy for an ambusher, sleeping on the job" she whispered underneath her breath. She is trying to talk to herself in a soft voice afraid of waking up the golden patch ambusher. As Saya was backing away slowly, she noticed a red splotch near the man. "Hmmmm. Maybe he's not asleep but injured?. Well that makes more sense then instead of someone ambushing somebody." she tried to walk to the man slowly to see the depth of the injuries. "Looks quite deep, it seems he lost a lot of blood." while checking for the injuries, she also inspect the man. "Oh wow!" Saya then took a closer look at the man's face. "This....." she was speechless. "This is the most good looking guy that I have come across in both worlds". She was mesmerized by his facial features that seems to be sculpted by the Gods. "Is this what prince charming looks like?" she then imagined the guy riding on some white horse with petal backdrops and BGM. She was lost in her thoughts when she heard a soft cough. She was startled out of her dreamland and remember that the guy was injured. "Hah!. Let me be a good Samaritan for once. It's not because of good looks but because I am a good person. Yep! Nothing to do with his handsome looks at all. Hehehehehe. He is not my ideal type in a guy. Nope! I am a good girl" she kept saying to herself while smiling evilly. "Looks like I wont be able to sell in the town today. Good thing I have medicine here with me, I can at least administer first aid." She then checked the depth of the injury of the man. "Hm... he seems to be shot by a poisoned arrow. It's quite deep too. Good thing I have an antidote here, I can also temporarily stop the bleeding." she unbuttoned the man's clothes, "Oh wow! Eight packs! Hehehehe. I am not a pervert. This is all in the name of saving a human life! Yep, that's it! I am not touching his muscular and sturdy chest other than applying medicine." Saya said smilingly while feeling the man's chest. "Better not be distracted!" She slapped her cheeks with both hands and procced to apply the antidote and hemostatic herb directly on the wound. She skillfully administered first aid to the man. "Now that you are out of danger, what to do with you then? I just can't leave you here in the bush, although I have provided you an antidote, that's just so the poison will not spread further, we still need to expel the poison that's already in your body." she explained to the unconscious man as if asking for his opinion. "Hmmm.... Maybe I can treat you back on my hut? But you are a stranger and I don't know you well, what if you're a bad guy? But bad guys can't be this good looking." she tried to reason with herself. "Saya, you can't trust a guy just because he's pleasing to the eyes!" she argued. "But he needs help. And if he really is a bad guy, I'm an elementalist, I'm sure I can take care of him especially since he is injured." she counter-argued. After weighing the pros and cons, she finally decided to bring the man back home. "Eleonora, help me carry this man" she said. A gust of wind drifted and a small spirit made of wind appeared near Saya. " Back to the hut!" Saya said. The spirit then used the wind to carry the man while Saya walked beside him, glanced at her spirit Eleonora and sang a song " Wonder Pets Wonder Pets, Wonder Pets Wonder Pets, we're on our way to help a friend and save the day. We're not too big and we're not too tough. But when we work together we've got the right stuff. Go Wonder Pets yay!".
