I always dreamed of a peaceful school life. You know, the kind where I could just blend in, study hard, and maybe—just maybe—make a few friends. Nothing too flashy. Nothing too dramatic.
So why, exactly, am I standing at the gates of Grand Royal Academy while hundreds of noble students whisper in terror like I'm about to declare war on the empire?
"…It's him."
"The final boss has arrived…"
"W-We're all going to die."
Oh. Right. It's probably the way I look.
Towering over everyone like a mountain of muscle? Check. Long black hair flowing ominously in the wind? Yep. Crimson red eyes glowing like a villain's in the middle of a boss fight? Unfortunately, yes.
I take a deep breath, trying to shake off their nonsense. Just ignore them, Kayn. You're here to study, not to terrify people.
I step forward, only for a random first-year to scream, "HE MOVED!" before fainting on the spot.
…This is going to be a long school year.
This all started three years ago, back when I was fifteen. An old man was being attacked by a bunch of bandits, so I did what any decent person would do: I saved him. Turns out, that "old man" was actually a high-ranking noble and a close friend of the emperor. When he offered me a reward, I didn't ask for money, land, or power—I just wanted a chance to enroll in the empire's most prestigious academy.
Simple, right?
I thought so, too. But now that I'm here, I'm starting to regret everything.
For one, I have zero magic. None. Not a drop.
In a world where even toddlers can cast basic spells, I'm about as magically gifted as a rock. But that's fine! Because, in exchange, I was blessed with monstrous strength and complete immunity to all magic.
Unfortunately, nobody sees that as a blessing.
The hero candidates think I'm the reincarnation of a Demon Lord.
The nobles think I cheated my way in.
And the villainesses—the daughters of criminal masterminds, assassins, and even demon lords? They all think I'm the hottest thing to ever walk into this academy.
…This was NOT part of the plan.
All I wanted was a normal, worry-free school life. Instead, I've got a bunch of terrified nobles, trembling professors, and a growing fan club of villainesses plotting ways to make me their personal henchman (or worse).
Can I survive Grand Royal Academy without accidentally conquering it? Probably not.
But hey—at least I'm trying.
