A young looking girl walked out of a bar, "bye girl ", another girl called out ," "yeah bye "the girl replied and walked towards the parking lot.
"Miss Sunmi over ya" a driver with a thick Calabar accent called out to the girl . The girl walked towards and got in .the driver adjusted the rear view mirror, while looking at through the the mirror he says.....
" small madam , traffic Dey ooo. E be like say we go follow short cut "
After a few minutes of driving , they got to a silent road with no other cars or civilization Sunmi the young girl stared outside the window and saw only trees " where are we" she asked . "We Dey follow "....screech the car came to a sudden halt before he could finish his sentence .
Sunmi looked outside again lust to see a cut down tree. The driver got down to see if he could move the tree , when he heard a growl followed by foot steps , Sunmi heard aloud shout followed by a rain of blood all over the car.
Sunmi screamed and ran out the car towards the bush . A gigantic black wolf with red eyes and very sharp looking fangs jumped and landed on the car flattening it in the process .
The wolf looked for its prey and spotted Sunmi and it ran after her. " help! help! " sunmi screamed her voice for lost in on the forest . At that moment Sunni's eye lead's began to feel heavy and her legs began to feel tired she fell to the ground .
The wolf inching towards her step by step . Then she finally closed her eyes....
As the sound of machines being filled the room Sunmi stirred awake and got up from a bed her surrounddings unfamiliar, bed a bit dizzy . She liked around and saw she was in a hospital.
A nurse came in and saw she was awake then goes out to call the doctor. The doctor came in shortly after and checked on her, after careful examination the doctor left ensuring her he would call her parents.
A few hours later her mum walks in and hugged her "oh honey are you okay" her mum asked concerned " yeah, I'm fine, just a bit dizzy though. Where's dad?" Sunmi said , and as if in cue her dad walks in and pats her head . "oh darling how are you doing?" her dad said with a smile. " I'm fine dad".
A police man walked in and greeted them with a smile and then spoke "Mr Akintuyi upon our recent investigations on the scene of the crime , we couldn't find any trace of the car. All we found was a phone" saying this he brought out the phone and gave it to her dad.
"What do you mean you can't find the car?, it couldn't have disappeared" Sunmi's dad said.
"Well sir we are still searching but there was no tire tracks showing that the car left the forest "the police said as he stood up "we will continue our search" the police said as he left the room .
Sunmi remained quiet for a while her mind reeling with thoughts "Dad, who brought me to the hospital?" Mr Akintuyi cleared his throat then spoke "yesterday after you called your mum to tell her you were on your way and didn't arrive an hour later as expected she began to worry, she tried calling you but you didn't respond so she decided to alert the police and lead a search party and tracked your phone to where we found you unconscious in the middle of a forest, which bags the question, what exactly happened to you? ".
Sunmi thought for a while then spoke "after Mr Akpan picked me up, he decided to follow a short cut to by cut traffic, but not even half way through, we stopped due to something blocking our path. He came out and tried to move move it but he was attacked by a ..."
she stopped talking like she was unsure of something.
" By a what?" her mum asked with a concerned look .
" I...I...I don't know, I'm not sure, i didn't get the chance to see what attacked. After l heard Mr Akpan scream I ran" Sunmi said. "It's ok darling take a rest" her dad said as he stood up and patted her head and left with her mum .
A young looking girl of about Sunmi's age who was taller than sunmi with dark eyes and long braids walked into the room and immediately ran to hug sunmi . "Bestie oh my God, I ran here as soon as I heard you were awake". she said as she sat in the bed . "Tolu I thought you were at your grandma's ". Sunmi said adjusting her pillow . "I was but there's no way I could leave my best friend in such condition" Tolu replied with a smile .
" Girl what really happened to you I heard so many rumors ".Tolu said looking concerned. Sunmi looked hesitant at first but spoke " I'm not sure my self , I was panicking And scared so I just might be wrong .but it was a wolf like a very big one". Tolu looked at Sunni's face finding her answers very weird . With a curious time she asked "werewolf? Are you sure it was a wolf and not a bear or something".
"This is why I didn't want to tell anyone cause I know it sounds crazy "Sunmi said looking sad. Then tolu squeezed her hands gently and hugged her "I'm sorry I doubted you , i mean you wouldn't make something like that up". She said apologetic "Tolu I need you to promise not to tell anyone, ok? cause I'm quite sure . I only told you cause you're my best friend " sunmi said with a sigh.....
