Chapter 2: The Fall to the Mortal Realm
Kanji took a deep breath as he stood in the center of the forge, the last traces of blue light fading from his skin. The heat of the flames crackled softly in the background, casting flickering shadows across the room. His hands were still trembling from the overwhelming surge of power, but his mind was racing with curiosity.
"Alright," he muttered to himself, glancing around. "Might as well take a look at this place."
The workshop was immaculate, yet strangely untouched by time. Rows of tools lined the walls, each one looking perfectly maintained despite the dust covering the tables. An anvil sat in the middle of the room, resting atop a sturdy workbench with a massive forge positioned just behind it. The fire within burned an unnatural blue, the same shade that had radiated from his ring.
Kanji approached the workbench, running his fingers along the smooth iron surface. "So, this is mine now?"
He spotted shelves filled with old blueprints, stacks of metal ingots, and a rack of unfinished weapons—some half-forged, others seemingly waiting for their final touches. The presence of it all felt surreal. He had never even held a hammer before today, yet the moment he looked at these tools, a strange sense of familiarity stirred within him. As if he had done this a thousand times before.
Just as he was about to pick up a hammer, a sharp chime rang through the air.

A weak mortal has no right to stand in the Realm of Gods.
YOU WILL BE EXPELLED IMMEDIATELY.
PLEASE PREPARE FOR TRANSFER.
Kanji's breath hitched. "Wait, what?!"
Before he could even process the message, the entire workshop trembled. The flames in the forge flickered wildly, the tools on the walls rattling as an unseen force pulled at the very fabric of the room.
Then, without warning—everything disappeared.
The walls, the tools, the forge—every last piece of the workshop vanished into thin air, sucked into an unseen vortex, absorbed into the System Space.
Kanji barely had time to react before a portal opened beneath his feet.
His heart lurched. "Oh, you've got to be kidding—!"
Gravity took hold.
The next thing he knew, he was falling.
Crash Landing
Kanji slammed into the ground with a loud thud, dust and grass flying up around him. Pain shot through his body as he groaned, sprawled out in a vast open field beneath a bright blue sky. Birds cawed in the distance, and a soft breeze rustled through the tall grass surrounding him.
For a moment, he just lay there, his mind catching up with what had just happened.
"What... the hell was that?!"

Kanji sat up, shaking his head. "So not only did I get thrown out of the godly realm, but now I have to set up shop like some wandering merchant?"
He sighed, rubbing his temples. At least he wasn't dead.
Looking around, the landscape stretched for miles—rolling green fields, patches of dense forest in the distance, and the faint shimmer of a river reflecting the sunlight. No signs of civilization.
"Alright, first things first," he muttered. "Where the hell am I?"

Mission: Find a place to build your workshop.
Kanji exhaled sharply. "No map, huh? Guess I'll have to find a spot the old-fashioned way."
He pushed himself to his feet, dusting off his clothes. Thankfully, he had landed in a soft patch of grass instead of breaking his bones on jagged rocks. Small victories.
Looking to the sky, he noted the position of the sun. It was late afternoon—meaning he had only a few hours before nightfall. He needed to find shelter fast.
"Alright," he said to himself, stretching out his arms. "Let's get moving."
The Search for a Home
Walking through the open plains, Kanji scanned the terrain. Flatland wouldn't work—too exposed. He needed somewhere defensible, preferably near water and resources.
After about an hour of walking, he came across a small cliffside, overlooking a winding river that stretched through the valley. A dense forest loomed nearby, its tall trees swaying gently in the wind.

Kanji hesitated for only a moment before smirking. "Might as well make it official."
He reached out and selected YES.
The Forge Awakens
The moment he confirmed, the air around him shifted. The wind grew heavier, and a deep hum resonated through the ground.
A fiery light erupted from his chest as the workshop reappeared, materializing out of thin air. The forge ignited, tools lined themselves on racks, and the anvil returned to its rightful place.
It was as if the entire structure had always been there.

He took a deep breath, stepping forward to run his hand across the anvil. It was warm to the touch, alive in a way that no ordinary metal should be.
A slow grin spread across his face.
"Alright... time to get to work."
Once the workshop had materialized, Kanji took a moment to explore its new interface. His gaze landed on a glowing panel labeled Blueprint Archive.
As he opened it, a long list of blueprints appeared before him—but nearly all of them were grayed out.
