Ye Qiang came from Earth, a core member of a gang with dreams of becoming the leader. However, he was framed for murder and sentenced to death by execution.
In the southeastern region of the Qiankun Continent, in the southern part of the Tianhe area, in the eastern mountains of Liuyecity, near the outer gate of the Blood Sword Sect.
On a dark, windy night, in a bamboo forest.
Five young men dressed in blood-red robes, each wielding a long sword, surrounded a tall, thin boy with blue, shoulder-length curly hair, who was also wearing a blood-red robe. They were beating him mercilessly.
The boy was covered in sword wounds and looked extremely weak.
Soon, a young man with green hair and a mole near his eye stepped forward from the group. Holding his sword high, he arrogantly said to the visibly weak boy, "Waste! Have you even looked at yourself? What abilities do you have? How dare you flirt with my beloved little junior sister?"
"Hmph, since you're my junior brother, I'll show mercy today. But if you ever do it again, don't blame me for not caring about our brotherhood!"
After saying this with a threatening tone, the green-haired boy withdrew his sword and, along with his brothers, swaggered off.
The bamboo forest was left silent, with only the injured boy remaining. The weak boy looked at their retreating figures, filled with resentment.
"One day, you'll pay for what you've done," he muttered through gritted teeth, enduring the excruciating pain from his injuries.
The next moment, as his body couldn't bear the pain and exhaustion, he collapsed onto the ground.
Just as he fell, a white shadow swiftly descended into his body, causing the boy to lose consciousness in an instant.
Half a stick of incense later, the dim night sky brightened. A huge white moon suddenly became exceptionally bright, and a light breeze began to blow through the bamboo forest, growing stronger by the second…
The weak boy slowly opened his eyes. Everything before him seemed unfamiliar.
"I'm not dead?"
Ye Qiang's first thought was, "But I clearly remember being executed by a gunshot."
Suddenly…
Memories that didn't belong to Ye Qiang started flooding into his mind, bit by bit, slowly and calmly.
It wasn't long before Ye Qiang realized, "Oh my god, I've transmigrated! The original owner of this body was Mo Xian, an outer disciple of the Blood Sword Sect."
Mo Xian was a young man who was at the peak of martial arts. He had been beaten up by his senior brother, Li Zhi, simply for speaking to a new female disciple, Lei Qingqing. Li Zhi, who had just entered the Bronze Stage of cultivation, was spoiled by his older brother Li Qi, who held power in the inner sect. Li Zhi had been arrogant and bullying his fellow disciples, making most of the outer sect hate him deeply.
Ye Qiang observed the unfamiliar surroundings and pondered for a long time.
This was the Qiankun Continent.
A vast and complex world, filled with various races, monsters, and spiritual energy that covered everything—animals, plants, and humans alike. Spiritual energy allowed animals to evolve into powerful demon beasts, humans to build foundations, cultivate, and ascend to immortality, while even plants could cultivate into spirits.
This world, however, was not the domain of the Demon Clan, who didn't rely on spiritual energy and were far more terrifying than natural disasters or human strife. It was rumored…
"Since I've come here, I'll live my life to the fullest, and better than anyone else," Ye Qiang swore to himself.
Suddenly, Ye Qiang felt a strange heat in his chest.
He instinctively opened his clothes and saw a peculiar, circular red mark on his left chest. The mark had a fresh scar, which was the result of the injury from that green-haired Li Zhi.
As Ye Qiang tried to recall the memory behind the red mark, it suddenly emitted a powerful red glow, forcing him to close his eyes.
The red light erupted like a volcano, immediately engulfing the entire bamboo forest. Red streaks of light flashed around him, causing the forest to shake violently.
In just a few blinks, the red light miraculously vanished, and everything returned to a strange calm.
Ye Qiang woke up in terror, his eyes wide open as he took in the scene before him. The entire bamboo forest within a hundred paces was engulfed in a sea of flames.
Standing in the midst of the burning bamboo forest, Ye Qiang glanced at his body and was stunned to find that the wounds which had covered him earlier were now miraculously healed after the red light had exploded. His once frail body now felt completely refreshed, with no sign of fatigue.
"Could it be that this red mark is causing all of this?"
Ye Qiang touched the strange, circular red mark on his chest, frowning as he pondered.
"Everyone, look over there! That fire is enormous."
"What's happening?"
"It's coming from the bamboo forest."
"Could it be an attack by disciples from another sect?"
While Ye Qiang was still lost in thought, several young voices came from a distance.
"This isn't a place to stay for long," Ye Qiang thought to himself.
The next moment, a group of young men dressed in blood-red robes, armed with long swords, rushed over in a hurry, scanning the area. All they saw was the raging sea of flames.
In order to avoid drawing their attention, Ye Qiang had already disappeared into the fire.
The inferno had gradually consumed the night, replacing the darkness with scorching flames shooting toward the sky.
After Ye Qiang left, the sound of the young men's chatter could still be heard echoing in the forest.
Having calmed himself after the fiery incident, Ye Qiang quickly returned to his cave residence.
Recalling the memories from this body's previous owner, Ye Qiang remembered that this cave was a training space provided by the outer sect elders of the Blood Sword Sect, filled with various scattered training materials. Next to the items, there was a sheepskin scroll, which recorded the sect's tasks assigned by the outer elders, with generous rewards upon completion.
As Ye Qiang entered the cave and looked around, he muttered, "Not even a bed? What a joke..."
After a quick glance around, he shrugged and decided not to care about such things. He simply lay down on the floor, ready to sleep.
Just then, a loud, slightly distorted voice startled him, causing him to jump to his feet.
"Who's there?"
Startled, Ye Qiang became highly alert, scanning the cave carefully, checking every corner repeatedly.
"No one?" After a brief moment of panic, Ye Qiang steadied himself and said, "I am Ye Qiang. May I ask who the esteemed senior is and why you are hiding? Why not show yourself and meet this junior?"
The loud, distorted voice replied from an unseen place, "Ten thousand years... ten thousand years! You despicable humans, when you can't defeat me, you resort to these vile tricks."
"Hmph, insignificant human, you need not fear. I am currently residing within the Extreme Fire Sealing God Mark on your chest."
Seeing Ye Qiang still confused, the voice continued to speak in his ear.
After hearing this, Ye Qiang's tense heart relaxed somewhat. He calmly said, "May I ask for your esteemed name, senior? If there's anything I can do to assist, please don't hesitate to guide me."
Ye Qiang, having been from Earth and having experience in tough environments, quickly assessed the situation. He knew how to respond wisely to unknown forces, showing humility while hiding his true strength, after all, his life was at stake.
The loud, distorted voice responded again, "You don't need to beat around the bush with me. I can see through your thoughts completely."
Ye Qiang, slightly surprised, smiled and replied, "Senior already knows what I'm thinking. In that case, I humbly request that you take me as your disciple and teach me your martial arts."
In truth, Ye Qiang had noticed the unusual red mark on his chest earlier in the bamboo forest, and he quickly realized it was no ordinary mark.
He had personally witnessed the destructive power of the red light it emitted, capable of annihilating everything in its path, leaving nothing alive. How could anyone not be in awe of such power?
