Chapter 5 - Legendary Scene

Five years had passed since Naruto had entered the Academy, and now, he stood at the threshold of his final year.

The once small, clueless boy had grown into a slightly taller, still clueless yet more determined version of himself.

Though his dream of becoming Hokage remained, his focus at the moment was surviving the trials of daily life in the Academy—especially with the ever-growing rivalry between him and Sasuke Uchiha.

Naruto was perched on top of his desk, balancing on his heels as he exchanged glares with Sasuke, who sat in his usual cool, indifferent manner.

The tension between them was palpable, and the rest of the class watched with bated breath.

Over the years, the rivalry between the two had only intensified, with Naruto constantly trying to outshine Sasuke, and Sasuke effortlessly remaining ahead.

But today was different—today, Naruto was determined to prove himself in the most ridiculous way possible.

"Oi, teme! Stop acting all high and mighty!" Naruto barked, pointing a finger at Sasuke.

Sasuke merely scoffed, turning his head away as if Naruto wasn't even worth responding to.

"Tch, whatever, dobe."

Naruto's blood boiled. He wasn't about to be ignored like that! He stomped forward, planting his foot on Sasuke's desk, leaning in so close that their noses almost touched.

"What did you say?!"

Sasuke narrowed his eyes and leaned in slightly as well, unwilling to back down.

Their foreheads nearly met as the air in the classroom grew tense.

The rest of the class, especially the girls, watched with mixed emotions—part curiosity, part admiration for Sasuke, and part annoyance at Naruto's audacity.

"Hmph. You're just making a fool of yourself again," Sasuke muttered.

Naruto grit his teeth. "Oh yeah?! Let's see who blinks first!"

And with that, the most intense staring contest in the history of the Academy commenced.

Both boys locked eyes, their determination unwavering. Their classmates murmured excitedly, bets were placed, and even Iruka, who was about to enter the room, paused at the doorway to watch the unexpected battle unfold.

Seconds passed. Then a minute. Then two. The entire classroom was silent, save for the occasional whisper or the sound of someone shifting in their seat.

Naruto's eyes burned, but he refused to blink. He was going to win this time! He could feel Sasuke wavering!

And then… disaster struck.

A slight shuffle from behind—perhaps Kiba shifting his chair—caused Naruto to lose balance. His foot slipped, his body jerked forward, and before anyone could react…

Lips met.

A stunned silence fell over the classroom as Naruto and Sasuke's eyes widened in horror. Their lips had pressed together for the briefest of moments, but to both boys, it felt like an eternity.

Then came the chaos.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Naruto leaped back as if struck by lightning, his hands flailing wildly.

Sasuke, looking equally horrified, gagged. "Wh-What the hell?!"

Both boys turned away and simultaneously started gagging, wiping their mouths frantically as if trying to erase the moment from existence.

The class erupted into a mixture of gasps, laughter, and outraged screams.

"N-Naruto, you idiot!" Sakura screeched, her face as red as her dress.

"How dare you kiss Sasuke-kun?!" Ino yelled, pointing an accusing finger at Naruto.

The entire class of Sasuke fangirls suddenly became a terrifying mob, their fury directed solely at the poor blond.

Before Naruto could explain that it was an accident, they descended upon him like a swarm of angry bees.

"Wait—! I didn't—! AHHHHH!" Naruto cried as he was pummeled mercilessly by a flurry of fists and kicks.

Meanwhile, Shikamaru sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Troublesome."

Choji munched on his chips. "I didn't see that coming."

Kiba, who had been laughing so hard he almost fell off his chair, pounded the desk. "That was the best thing I've ever seen!"

Even Hinata, who usually blushed at the mere sight of Naruto, was covering her face, unsure whether to laugh or faint.

By the time Iruka entered the room, the chaos was still ongoing, with Naruto on the floor twitching from the sheer number of attacks he'd endured. He sighed deeply before rubbing his temples.

"What did I just walk into...?"

Thus, the most legendary—and most traumatizing—event of Naruto's Academy days was forever etched into history.
