The night sky was clear and for those who is took their time to look at the beauty of it found something more mesmerizing within. The night sky was filled with thousands of dazzling shooting stars as they passed over the Earth's atmosphere, many regarded the night as something truly breath taking. Unfortunately this wasn't the case with everyone, amongst those was a highschool boy by the name Arch. He was already enjoying the fact that he could spend the night in his treehouse in their back yard but now with the lightshow it made things a whole lot better, the time also came at the most perfect timing now he could take his new state of the art telescope his Dad got for him when he came back. One of the many privilege's of working in NASA .
Arch was a clever boy and he knew that there somethings that are best left alone, and sure enough what he saw that night was one of the very example of his fears, especially since one of the Stars currently gliding above heading directly for their little planet was a glowing orb, and yet he wasn't really at ease knowing something pretty big might be happening and he could just stop by to witness it, he took another peek through his telescope following the orbs trajectory and point of impact and it was not far from home, to be exact it was in their very own.town. The more he looked at the orbs the more he felt he had seen it somewhere before but he couldn't remember where he'd seen it.
His growing anxiety of not wanting that orb to fall into others hands grew more and more, sure enough he was convinced that if that orb were to ever fall into human hands then that would be a bothersome to him, but then he wondered what exactly that statement put him at, if humans were not to get that orb what right did he have to get it.
"Ok! Get it together Arch , it's better with a kid than those people."
Once he had mustered enough strength and resolve he hopped on his bike and took off, if his calculation was correct then that would only mean that he followed his route then he would find the crash site.
Sure enough he was correct it only took him ten minutes of ridding around to find the crush site and that only ment that if he could find it that fast then that ment that more people who truly saw that star fall fair what it was then they would be there at any time, especially those official people whom he d gone through all the trouble to keep from getting whatever had crushed on their little planet.
Now the only question was how he was going to deal with the radiation emitted by the little orb, obviously he had worn his custom, home made, led covered body suit and the little ice bascket he had brought with him had the same coting, he didn't want to spend another minute there so he slid down into the little crator left after the crush, he took the orbs into his hands, luckily enough his body protected him well from the orbs radiation.
He quickly stuffed it into his ice buscket, sure enough not long after he rode out a bunch of trucks came to the site however what they were looking for was already in another persons hands. When he got home he snuck buck into his treehouse and after catching up with his breath and making sure that he wasn't followed he opened the box again the orb gave out a low blue glow, after careful examination he was sure enough he had seen it somewhere before but where exactly. He then remembered not long ago their family had gone to the beach during the weekend and he had dug up a glass hemisphere resembling the orb he had in his hands now.
He searched for it in his trunk he kept in the tree house that had most of his toy's and some failed inventions, then there it was the glass hemisphere he was looking for and it was giving the same glow ass the other half that he found, for some reason he thought that the two prisms belonged together, when he brought them together they shown brightly then sending out a huge pulse of energy the next second Arch was floating in midair, the energy pulse was strong enough that it short-circuited the towns entire power grid. When Arch came to he was laying on the floor in his treehouse and couldn't recall much of what happened yesterday.
Arch got up the ache all over his body was clear proof that he did sleep on the floor, but why would he sleep on the floor, the treehouse had a perfectly good bed, anyway that was a question for later, now he ha dot figure out what exactly happened yesterday. Before he could think of anything the phone that he had Hooke up with the house landline rang, he answered and was met with the screaming voice of his sister yelling at him to get down for breakfast, he went down to the house and when he got there everything was already set, he sat down but he was still trying to rap his mind around what exactly happened yesterday.
"Are you okay sweetie?" Asked Camellia his mom.
"Yeah...I...I'm fine." he answered trying to ignore the question,
"Well it doesn't look like you got that much sleep," Camellia
"That's probably because he was busy sneaking out of the house yesterday, probably going on another one of his many quest with his friends." Rory, Arch's supposed evil sister remarked.
"What!, is that true?" Gideon, Arch's father asked with furry, they had already warned him not to go on his nightly adventures since the last time they were picked up from the police station.
As soon as Rory said this Arch recalled what had happened yesterday which gave him the most perfect excuse, he was actually thankful to his sister for giving him this chance. "What! no, I was in my treehouse yesterday looking at the showing star show how come you missed it its all over the internet."
Sure enough once he said this Gideon looked it up and found it was true, the entire story was dropped. one of the advantages Arch got ever since he was adopted.
