"Fuck." I sigh and steel myself for the pain as I bring the dagger to my throat while stepping into the Allmother's Sigil "This better work. I dedicate this sacrifice to the Allmother."
I run the dagger over my throat and pain rushes through my neck. I gasp for air but the blood prevents me from breathing and I don't know which is worse, the drowning in my own blood or losing the feeling in my body as I collapse to my knees.
'The drowning, it's definitely the drowning.' I thought before it finally went black and when I opened my eyes again I found myself in a dense forest much like the one I just left but it felt different somehow.
"Allmother, I have come to offer myself to you in return for the power I seek" I called out and a wind swept through the dense forest and the wind carried a voice.
"You cannot offer yourself to me" A smooth woman's voice spoke on the wind "Your soul has already been claimed by another"
I was confused. Claimed by another? What does that mean?
I shook my head and focused on the deal "What then can I offer you in return for the power I seek?"
"I can see what you intend to do with the power you wish for, I will take the first hundred human souls you kill as payment" The woman's voice said.
"It's a deal." I had no problem with killing, it's a win-win for me because I get to gain negative Karma while gaining Hex Energy.
"Verywell, I shall give you what you seek." said the woman's voice.
I feel a creeping cold rush inside me before everything goes black and I wake up on the dirt ground, the sun shining down on me. I quickly push myself up onto my knees and grasp at my neck only to find not even a scar.
I sigh and rub my face "I'm never doing that again" I move to close the book and grab it before standing up, I stumble a bit because I still lost a lot of blood but other than that I was feeling great.
