Blazing flames illuminated the sky, casting a radiant glow over a magnificent city built in a grand European architectural style. The city, towering as if suspended in midair, was majestic and awe-inspiring.
Within the city, the people's faces were adorned with smiles as they worked together to build their home. Despite its peaceful and harmonious atmosphere, this was no ordinary place—it was the legendary Demon Domain.
This city was known as Tianlu City!
Yes, it was the very same Tianlu City ruled by the protagonist Beiluo in Gu Jian Qi Tan 3 (Swords of Legends 3).
In the world of Gu Jian Qi Tan, the three realms—Heaven, Earth, and Humanity—were collectively called Changshi. In contrast, the vast space opposing Changshi was known as the Demon Domain.
The Demon Domain was not only home to demons; many demonic beasts and monsters also thrived here, making it a chaotic land where battles erupted frequently.
The inhabitants of Tianlu City were a unique race—the Bixie (Pi Xie)—one of the strongest and most revered among all demon clans.
The Bixie were a special lineage within the demon race, possessing not only immense combat prowess but also incredibly rare spatial abilities. To them, the sky and the earth were but a mere thought away—they could travel anywhere instantly, unrestricted by the physical world.
Unlike most demons, the Bixie maintained friendly relations with humans. In the past, they had even formed a deep bond with the Human Emperor Xuanyuan. One of his greatest warriors, Jinyun, known as the strongest swordsman of his time, had inherited the Bixie bloodline and even passed down his swordsmanship to their clan.
Tianlu City, built by the Bixie, stood at the very gateway between the Human Realm and the Demon Domain. Without the Bixie guarding this entrance, the Human Realm would have long been overrun by demonic forces.
Throughout history, countless demons had attempted to breach the Bixie King's City to invade the human world. Yet, time and again, their plans were crushed by successive generations of Bixie Kings.
Two of the most perilous battles in history included:
The Invasion of the Primordial Demon – The highest-ranked demon in the Demon Realm once launched an attack, leading to a cataclysmic battle. The then Bixie King, Xuange, fought to a draw against this ancient demon. However, due to severe injuries sustained in the fight, Xuange passed away years later.
The War Against the Grand Sky Demon – After Xuange's passing, his brother Beiluo succeeded him as the Bixie King. Beiluo, having grown up in the human world, had never cultivated the Bixie's royal arts and had even sealed away his own demonic power. At the time, he was far from strong. When the Grand Sky Demon Chi E Yang, provoked by the dark priest Wu Zhao, invaded, Beiluo was forced to unseal his power. In a rage, he slew the Grand Sky Demon and successfully defended the Bixie King's City. Later, he even single-handedly defeated Wu Zhao, ensuring peace for both Tianlu City and the human world. However, the price he paid was a decade of severe injuries.
Now, over fifty years had passed since that great battle. Beiluo had not only fully recovered but had grown even stronger, surpassing even his elder brother Xuange.
The reason for this was simple—Beiluo had integrated the power of three lifetimes into one.
First Life – Tianhai – A warrior of the Dai Clan, Tianhai obtained the Source Blood of the Wu Clan in the Land of Sorcerers. This blood carried an overwhelming power that could suppress any other bloodlines within him and even pass on through reincarnation.
Second Life – Jinyun – Due to the Wu Blood's influence, his second reincarnation, Jinyun, was able to perfectly merge with the Bixie bloodline. He became the strongest swordsman of his era, unmatched in swordsmanship. Even the legendary Purple Yun, who later took the title of the greatest swordsman, would have had to respectfully call him "Senior."
Third Life – Beiluo – In this life, he was no longer merely someone who inherited the Bixie bloodline—he was born as a true King Bixie. This alone meant that from the moment he awakened, his power already rivaled that of the Grand Sky Demons.
Through various fortuitous encounters, he awakened his Wu Blood within the Dream of Dreams, restored his memories of Jinyun at the Hundred Gods Festival, and regained mastery of his unparalleled swordsmanship.
Thus, with the strongest bloodline of his first life, the strongest swordsmanship of his second life, and the most powerful physical body and demonic energy of his third life, Beiluo became an unmatched warrior.
After years of cultivation, his strength had now reached an unprecedented peak. He stood as one of the mightiest beings in all three realms—perhaps even the strongest Bixie King in history.
Even the ancient demons lurking in the Demon Realm's Forbidden Abyss, those at the Demon Sovereign level, dared not provoke him recklessly. After all, this King Bixie was not known for his patience.
Even before unlocking his full power, he had slain a High Demon of the Demon Realm with a single sword strike. After fully awakening, he cut down the Grand Sky Demon Chi E Yang—a feat that placed him among the invincible of his rank.
It was only thanks to his presence that Tianlu City remained so peaceful.
Yet, at this moment, seated upon the Bixie King's Throne, Beiluo did not look pleased.
Beside him stood an ethereal beauty—his wife and Queen, Yun Wuyue. She was a Great Demon of the Nightmare Clan, raised by Beiluo's past life, Jinyun. Kind-hearted by nature, she had saved countless humans and demons alike, earning the respect of the demon race, who honored her as Lord Yinshi.
In her arms, she cradled an adorable infant. Though Yun Wuyue was usually cold and reserved, her gaze softened with boundless affection as she looked at the child.
"Beiluo, are you truly certain about sending Xuan'er to another world?" Yun Wuyue asked reluctantly.
"There is no other choice," Beiluo replied helplessly. "Xuan'er's existence is not acknowledged by this world."
He, too, did not wish to send away their child. After all, this was the child born of their love.
However, this child's birth had not followed the natural process of Yin and Yang uniting within a mother's womb.
Beiluo's body carried the attributes of Metal, Wind, and Fire, while the Bixie's demonic energy was pure Yang—completely opposite to Yun Wuyue's Water attribute body and her Nightmare Clan's Yin-based demonic energy.
As a result, while they could be together, they could not conceive a child naturally.
Unwilling to accept this fate, they turned to the Method of Creation used by the goddess Nuwa, merging their bloodlines to create life themselves.
The Bixie Bone, a special artifact unique to their race, allowed them to forge a body.
Yet, despite their efforts, their first attempt failed. The fusion of Wu Blood, King Bixie bloodline, and Nightmare bloodline proved too powerful, causing the newly formed body to collapse under its own energy.
Despair consumed Yun Wuyue, and even Beiluo nearly lost hope.
But then, Fate intervened.
Just as they were about to seal away the lifeless body, the infant suddenly cried out.
Startled, they wondered—how could a soulless child cry?
Upon probing with her spiritual sense, Yun Wuyue was stunned.
Their child had a complete soul—one carrying all three Hun and seven Po.
Was it a miracle? A blessing from Nuwa?
No.
This soul had come from Earth.
It was a transmigrated soul—one not bound by this world's cycle of reincarnation.
Thus, Beiluo and Yun Wuyue finally had a child.
They named him—Beixuan.
A name chosen to honor their beloved brother, Xuange, for without his Bixie King Bone, Beixuan's body could not have been created.
