Chapter 5: Faye's POV
I woke up feeling like I was caught between a dream and reality. The
softness of the white blankets around me
should have been comforting, but instead, all I could think was: Can I
go back to sleep?
Seriously, I would have traded my entire existence for a few more hours of
peace. But no, instead, I was stuck in this bizarre world With weird people .
I was barely awake when I heard the sounds of two grown men running
from each other. I tried to process it but only ended up blinking,
confused.
Then, one of them, a guard or something, set a bowl of popcorn next to me
like I was in the middle of a movie. Why was I even here? And wait ! Who
was I?
"You're Faye," one of them said.
I answer "But I don't remember anything! You can't just tell me that
explain !"
Before I could scream again, the man with white hair
stepped forward, grinning at me like he was fully enjoying the show.
"You are Faye, the last princess of Lordor," he said dramatically,
as if it were a secret I was supposed to know. "And I'm your savior."
He winked at me.
Seriously is he normal !
The other man, with dark hair, walked up to him and gave
him a firm push. "I'm Regis, King of Regsialand," he said, his tone a
little too confident. "And also your future husband."
I froze. Wait. What? Did I just hear that correctly?
I'm a princess?
Both men nodded at the same time.
I pointed at the dark-haired one. "And I'm your future wife?"
He nodded, his expression serious.
The white-haired one rolled his eyes. "
I mean, he's not wrong…"
"But I don't remember anything!" I yelled, the frustration
bubbling up.
Regis shot a dark look at the white-haired man, who smiled back at him with
that annoyingly charming grin.
"My fault, darling," the white-haired one said casually. "I
may have forgotten a few things, but don't worry. We can fix it. For
extra coins."
Regis raised an eyebrow. "You want more money for that unicorn blood?
Bom answer "Not
a unicorn, darling. It's a dragon. And no I want more
chicken."
Regis looked even less amused. "Where are you going to find a dragon?
The last one..." He paused, turning his gaze toward me. "The last one
was in Lordor... and also why is her hair pink?"
He stayed that pointing at me .
Bom scratched his chin thoughtfully. "I'll find something. Don't worry.
If I have to go on an adventure with Faye to find the dragon, I will. As for
her hair... I'm shocked, too. Normally, it should be white like mine. But her
hair is pink… Wait. I had dark brown hair before I die … Maybe it has something
to do with the creatinine?" He shrugged. "Because she was blonde ,
not sure I don't know yet ."
Regis just stared at him, unimpressed. "An adventure? You and her?
And I will let you live your dream no No ." He glanced at me and added,
"Also, Faye needs to go to the village tomorrow morning to speak with the
villagers. They'll be so happy to see her again."
Bom raised an eyebrow. "If you want her lovey dovey memories with you back,
that's the only way."
I was still staring at the hill, completely disoriented. Why am I
here with these nonsense, stupid men?
Just when I thought they were done, the short guard turned to me again.
"I'm bob by the way and No more popcorn, lady?" he asked, his grin
wide.
No! I was seriously questioning my sanity at this point.
Bom jumped up, clapping his hands. "I want some bob thanks »
Regis say : « Alright, enough! You and me, Faye, let's take some
rest. Tomorrow's is going to be a long day for us."
