THE HANDSOME CEO FELL IN LOVE WITH ME
CHAPTER 4
As we floated across the lake, the sound of gentle lapping of the water against the boat's hull was soothing. Ethan's arm around me felt warm and comforting, and I couldn't help but snuggle deeper into his chest.
Suddenly, Ethan pointed to a small island in the distance. "Look," he said, his voice filled with excitement. "Our destination."
I followed his gaze, and as we drew closer, I saw that the island was beautifully lit up with twinkling lights and lanterns. There was a small gazebo in the center, surrounded by lush greenery.
Ethan helped me off the boat, and we walked hand in hand towards the gazebo. As we approached, I heard the sound of soft music and the clinking of glasses.
Inside the gazebo, I was amazed to see a beautifully set table with fine china, crystal glasses, and a stunning floral arrangement. There was a small orchestra playing softly in the background.
Ethan pulled out a chair for me, and I sat down, feeling like a princess. He sat down opposite me, and we were immediately served a delicious-looking meal.
As we ate and talked, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this wonderful night. Ethan was being so romantic and thoughtful, and I was loving every minute of it.
But just as we were finishing our meal, Ethan stood up and took my hand. "The night's not over yet," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
I raised an eyebrow, curious. "What's next?" I asked.
Ethan just smiled and led me to the edge of the gazebo. As we looked out over the lake, I saw a stunning fireworks display erupting in the sky.
I gasped in amazement, feeling like I was in a dream. Ethan put his arms around me, holding me close as we watched the fireworks together.
As the night wore on, I knew that this was a night I would never forget. Ethan had outdone himself, and I was so grateful to be with him.
But as the fireworks came to an end, Ethan turned to me with a serious expression. "I have one more surprise for you," he said, his eyes locked on mine.
My heart skipped a beat as I wondered what it could be. Was it something romantic? Something life-changing?
I looked up at Ethan, my eyes searching his. "What is it?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan took a deep breath, his eyes never leaving mine. "I want to show you something," he said. "Something that will change everything."
Ethan's words sent a shiver down my spine. What could he possibly want to show me that would change everything?
I nodded, my curiosity getting the better of me. "Okay, what is it?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Ethan smiled, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Follow me," he said, taking my hand and leading me away from the gazebo.
We walked in silence, the only sound being the crunch of gravel beneath our feet. I had no idea where we were going or what Ethan had planned.
As we walked, the trees grew thicker, and the air grew quieter. I felt a sense of anticipation building inside me, mixed with a hint of fear.
Suddenly, Ethan stopped in front of a large wooden door. It was old and weathered, with intricate carvings etched into its surface.
Ethan turned to me, his eyes locked on mine. "This is it," he said, his voice low and serious. "This is what I wanted to show you."
I felt a surge of curiosity, mixed with a hint of trepidation. What was behind the door?
I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest. "Okay, I'm ready," I said, trying to sound braver than I felt.
Ethan smiled, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Good," he said, pushing open the door.
As the door creaked open, I felt a rush of cool air, followed by a sense of wonder. What I saw took my breath.
