Trisha and Dhairya's Journey Through the Book of Riddles
As Trisha and Dhairya stepped into the glowing portal, they felt a soft breeze swirling around them, lifting them gently off the ground. The golden light faded, and they found themselves in a strange, floating library—a vast space filled with bookshelves that stretched into the sky. Some books hovered in midair, their pages flipping on their own, while others glowed with soft, enchanted light.
A tiny, winged librarian with spectacles perched on its nose fluttered toward them. It looked like a cross between a firefly and an owl, its wings shimmering like glass.
"Welcome, young seekers," the librarian said in a gentle voice. "To move forward, you must solve the riddles hidden in the Book of Secrets."
The floating book from earlier appeared before them, flipping to a new page.
Riddle One
"I fly without wings,
I cry without eyes,
Wherever I go, darkness flies.
What am I?"
Dhairya scratched his head. "Hmm… something that flies but has no wings?"
Trisha looked up at the swirling sky above them. Then, her eyes widened. "The wind! The wind moves everywhere, makes whooshing sounds like crying, and it pushes away darkness when it blows away fog or mist!"
The book glowed brightly, and a hidden staircase of floating books appeared in front of them.
"You may proceed," the librarian said with a nod.
Trisha and Dhairya carefully climbed the floating books, their kittens following closely behind. At the top, they reached a shimmering silver door, which slowly creaked open. Inside was a vast celestial garden, where stars grew like flowers and rivers of light flowed through the air.
The book flipped to another page, revealing a second riddle.
Riddle Two
"The more you take, the more you leave behind.
What am I?"
Trisha furrowed her brows. "This one is tricky."
Dhairya thought hard. Then, looking down at the sparkling ground beneath them, he suddenly grinned. "Footsteps! When you walk, you leave behind footprints, and the more you walk, the more prints you make!"
The moment he spoke the answer, a bridge of glowing stepping stones appeared, leading them deeper into the celestial garden. The kittens purred excitedly, their necklaces shining even brighter.
A gentle voice echoed around them. "You are close to the heart of the Book of Secrets. Only one final riddle remains."
Riddle Three
"I am always hungry,
I must always be fed.
The thing I touch will soon turn red.
What am I?"
Trisha tapped her chin. "Something that needs to be fed all the time?"
Dhairya snapped his fingers. "Fire! It's always burning, it needs wood or fuel, and when it touches something, it turns red and hot!"
As soon as he answered, the stars in the garden swirled together, forming a magnificent golden phoenix. Its feathers shimmered like fire, and its eyes glowed with wisdom.
"You have proven yourselves worthy," the phoenix said. "The Book of Secrets has shared its knowledge with you. Now, take this gift—the power to call upon the magic of words."
The book floated down into Trisha's hands, and as she touched it, she felt a warm glow spreading through her heart.
Dhairya grinned. "This means we can use magic through riddles and stories now!"
Trisha hugged the book tightly. "This is the best adventure ever!"
As the golden phoenix flapped its wings, a soft wind surrounded them, and in a blink, they were back in their own world—but now, they carried the magic of words with them forever.
