Chapter 8 - Chapter:8

The scene rewinds to just after Ino and Shikamaru had rushed out of the Golden Egg Shop, disappearing around the corner.

As soon as they left, Haruto turned around, his eyes gleaming as he looked at Ayame.

"Hey, customer! Do you want to try your luck? It's only 998 Ryo to smash an egg!"

Ayame hesitated.

She had just seen Shikamaru and Ino unlock powerful Ninjutsu and artifacts from these mysterious golden eggs.

And now, under Haruto's charming smile, she felt as if she were possessed.

Without thinking, she nodded and handed over a 1,000 Ryo note.

Haruto placed a golden egg in front of her and handed her the hammer along with her two Ryo change.

Taking a deep breath, Ayame gripped the hammer tightly.

She wasn't a shinobi and had no interest in becoming stronger, but…

If she was going to spend 998 Ryo, she at least wanted something useful.

"Here goes!"

She raised the hammer and smashed the egg!

Bang!

The golden shell shattered, and three glowing spheres appeared before her.

Haruto's eyes widened in shock.

"Oh my god!" he gasped.

Ayame had no idea what she had just done.

But Haruto could see it clearly—she had just proven herself to be a hidden luck goddess!

Among the three glowing orbs, one was emitting a soft golden glow, indicating it was no ordinary item.

The prizes were:

Dragon Pot ×1

Blue Essence ×100

Catfish & Snapper Noodle Recipe ×1

Haruto couldn't believe it.

Ayame, a simple ramen shop worker, had just drawn one of the Eight Legendary Kitchenware from the Cooking Master Boy world!

Ayame stared at the three orbs, confused.

"What… what are these?" she asked, nervous yet excited.

Haruto grinned.

"Ayame, I didn't expect you to be this lucky!"

He pointed at the Blue Essence first.

"This is the currency of my shop—you'll figure out its use later."

Then he gestured toward the Dragon Pot.

"But this… this is something truly special."

He reached into the glowing light and pulled out the Dragon Pot.

It was a large, ancient-looking pot, its surface engraved with intricate dragon patterns, as if two serpentine dragons were coiled around it.

"This is called the Dragon Pot—one of the Eight Legendary Kitchen Utensils!"

"Legendary Kitchen Utensils?" Ayame repeated, looking at the pot in disbelief.

Haruto nodded.

"According to legend, an ancient chef named Shuri forged eight mystical kitchen utensils using fallen meteorites."

"But because of their incredible power, he sealed them across the continent to protect the world of cooking."

Ayame's eyes widened as she listened.

"Rumor has it…" Haruto continued, lowering his voice, "that if a chef can collect all eight kitchen utensils, they will be able to cook a dish that grants immortality!"

"Immortality?!" Ayame gasped.

"How is that even possible?!"

"Well," Haruto shrugged, "it's just a legend. No one has ever managed to collect all eight at once."

"But even alone, each kitchen utensil holds extraordinary power!"

"For example," Haruto said, pouring water into the Dragon Pot.

The moment the water touched the surface, it boiled instantly.

Ayame's jaw dropped.

"It… it started boiling immediately!"

Haruto smirked.

"That's the power of the Dragon Pot."

"As long as you place ingredients inside, they will be cooked instantly, eliminating waiting time!"

Ayame's mind raced.

If her father, Teuchi, had this…

The ramen at Ichiraku Ramen could be served faster than ever!

Even Naruto, who hated waiting, would never complain again!

Haruto then reached into the last glowing orb and pulled out a scroll.

"This is your third prize—a legendary recipe."

"Legendary?" Ayame blinked.

"It's the Catfish & Snapper Noodle Recipe, a dish invented by the famous chef, who once wielded the Dragon Pot."

"In the final round of the Super Chef Exam, he created this recipe and passed with flying colors!"

Haruto smirked.

"This dish is said to be on par with Ichiraku Ramen!"

"Hmph! Impossible!" Ayame crossed her arms.

"My father's ramen is the best—there's no way some catfish noodles can compare!"

Haruto chuckled.

"Then how about a cooking challenge?"

Ayame's competitive spirit kicked in.

"Fine! Who's afraid of who?"

Without hesitation, they returned to Ichiraku Ramen.

Ayame explained everything to her father, Teuchi, who was skeptical at first.

"Better ramen than mine?" Teuchi snorted. "Impossible!"

Determined to prove his Ichiraku Ramen was unmatched, he agreed to compete against the legendary recipe.

With the Dragon Pot, Ayame effortlessly prepared the Catfish & Snapper Noodles.

Meanwhile, Teuchi began making his signature Ichiraku Ramen, using his usual method.

But before Teuchi's broth had even finished simmering, Ayame's dish was already done!

The instant the first bite was taken…

The entire shop fell silent.

The taste was unbelievably rich, a perfect harmony of flavors.

For the first time ever, Teuchi admitted—

"This ramen… is truly on another level."

Even he couldn't deny that the Dragon Pot gave Ayame an unfair advantage.

Shocked but impressed, he examined the pot, realizing just how valuable it was.

"Maybe," he muttered, "I should visit this Golden Egg Shop myself…"

After the contest, Haruto grinned at Ayame.

"Well? Want to smash two more eggs?"

But Ayame shook her head.

"Nope. I've had enough fun for today."

Haruto sighed dramatically.

"Ugh! I just lost two sales!"

He glanced at his remaining stock, muttering to himself.

"How long is it going to take me to sell thirty eggs at this rate…?"
