Chapter 1 - Boom then a splat then a baby

Tanya Evergreen was a Nobel Prize-winning scientist from the planet Terra, renowned for her immense love of science. One night, she found herself in her lab on the cusp of a breakthrough: a way to create explosives from minimal materials—almost like making a bomb from water and a few chemicals.

Just as she completed the final element of her work, she heard a loud boom, and her world went dark.

"Well, that's unfortunate," Tanya thought. It was disappointing that her work had blown up in her face, wasting seven months of research. "There's nothing I can do now," she pondered, considering her current situation.

She couldn't see anything and felt as though her entire body were submerged in liquid. In the distance, she could hear faint noises. "Where exactly am I?" she wondered.

Occasionally, she could discern muffled voices, but that was the extent of the sounds she could make out.

"Wait, am I not supposed to be dead right about now? If this is the afterlife, it certainly isn't what I expected. More importantly, how do I get out of here? And why does my body feel smaller?"

Tanya began to assess her predicament. Being trapped in an inescapable prison was not on her bingo list. Her analytical mind started running through possibilities.

Whether she liked it or not, she had all the time in the world to think. She began to compile her symptoms: small body, liquid-like prison, muffled noises. "It's almost like—oh no, oh no, no, no, no!"

It can't be, she mentally panicked. Then she came to one conclusion: I'm a baby. A baby in the womb? But still a baby! How could this be? The concept of a soul taking another form after death was merely a myth in her world.

But as scientists say, the impossible is just an unresolved possibility until proven otherwise, so this must be reincarnation. Interesting.

How does this work? My body and reincarnation don't sync up, as I wasn't a permanent cell when I reincarnated. Did it happen the instant I died, or was I always destined to arrive in this body at some point?

And how far along am I before I can escape this womb prison?

A few weeks later, she would get her answer.

Tanya was casually enjoying her liquid prison when she noticed something: a light. It struck her that it was finally time for her grand escape.

Summoning all her strength, she pushed through the tunnel, eagerly anticipating her return to the world. She pushed and pushed, and then—boom—she was born.

What appeared to her parents as a cry of pain was, in reality, a war cry—a cry of victory.

Months passed, and she realized she was no longer on Terra. It seemed as though she had been set back in terms of technology as if she were in the 1980s—but not quite.

Then there were her parents, who appeared to be of Japanese descent. Her father was an average, muscular-looking man, about 5'8", named Toya Nakamo, while her mother had striking blue eyes and beautiful brunette hair, going by the name Megumi Nakamo.

She seemed to take more after her mother than her father.

Life as a toddler was nothing short of boring until she was taken out of her home for the first time. When she saw her new surroundings, it was bustling with life on every corner.

Then, she witnessed the oddest sight: a man running up a tree as if it were made of a sticky substance. What kind of magic is this? She wondered.

Her mother seemed to notice the toddler eyeing the man running up the tree and said, "One day, you'll be able to use chakra too, if you choose to become a ninja, of course."

This sentence opened up a whole new world of information for Tanya, now known as Vonmi Nakamo. First off, this magic was called chakra. Secondly, to utilize chakra to its fullest, she had to become a ninja, as in the Japanese warriors.

"Interesting. I think I'm going to like my new life."

And just like that, eight years passed. During this time, Vonmi acquired more and more knowledge about these so-called ninjas and their magical chakra, learning the basics.

She discovered that physical and spiritual energies must merge to create chakra and that, through the use of special hand signs, it could be woven into special techniques.

In the process, she even figured out where she was currently living in this world: the Hidden Leaf Village.

As she grew, she transformed into a cute young girl who stood about 4'8", with shoulder-length brunette hair and stunning blue eyes.

To continue pursuing her passion, she decided to become a ninja—a rather dangerous career—but this world was proving that she would need some form of strength to obtain knowledge in peace.

Plus, it would be fun to defeat foreign ninjas for her village, even if that did mean sometimes fkilling them. Hopefully, they would get reincarnated like she did.

But to do that, she needed to accomplish a few major things: unlocking her chakra and, more importantly, joining the ninja academy—the only way to gain passage as an official ninja.

She could feel she was close to unlocking her chakra. She just had to focus, and the academy entrance exam was right around the corner, as her birthday had just passed.

With the third shinobi war threatening to erupt at any moment—whether it be in years, days, or months—there's no telling what could happen. There's no time like the present to strive to become a ninja.

She had been meditating, gradually focusing her chakra into a solid point in her stomach. She had engaged in this practice for almost three years.

After much effort, only a few pieces remained, and finally, it was complete. A slight shockwave—a burst of chakra—repelled outwards, and her parents rushed in, their faces filled with amazement.

She had done it; she had taken her first step toward becoming a ninja.
