Chapter 1: A New Beginning

The morning sun broke over the city, casting golden light on the towering skyscrapers. The world had long forgotten the existence of cultivation and immortals. In this bustling metropolis, Ye Tian stood outside the gates of the Su family mansion, the familiar scent of luxury and arrogance heavy in the air.

The old Ye Tian, the weak and helpless boy who had been nothing more than a plaything for the cold-hearted Su Qingyue, the beautiful heiress of the Su family—he was no more. The humiliation, the mockery, the pain… it was all behind him. Now, the Immortal Emperor stood here, in his younger self, filled with wisdom and power from his previous life, with a single goal in mind—revenge.

He had died once, betrayed by the very people he trusted, but this time, it would be different.

Ye Tian's dark eyes gleamed with cold resolve as he watched Su Qingyue exit the mansion, walking with her usual grace and elegance, surrounded by her group of friends, all laughing as if they owned the world. Her beauty was as dazzling as ever, but her heart was still as cold as the day they had first met. He could see it in her eyes—the disdain, the superiority.

She had never loved him. She had mocked him, humiliated him, and betrayed him. This time, he wouldn't let it slide.

She didn't even notice him at first, her attention consumed by her friends. When she finally did, her gaze flicked to him briefly, before her lips curled into a slight sneer.

"You're still here?" she asked, her voice cold, laced with mockery. "Don't you have better things to do than lingering around?"

Her words were sharp, but Ye Tian was no longer the weak fool who had once tried so hard to earn her affection. The scorn in her voice didn't bother him. Instead, it only fueled his resolve.

"No," he replied calmly, his voice low but filled with power. "But you seem to have plenty of time to waste. I thought you might want to apologize for how you treated me in the past."

Su Qingyue's eyes narrowed, her lips curling into an arrogant smile. "Apologize? For what? You were nothing but a stepping stone in my life. A useless pawn. You think you're worthy of my apology?"

Her words stung, but Ye Tian wasn't fazed. He had heard them all before in his previous life. The ridicule, the insults—he had been weak then, but now, his strength surpassed that of any mortal. He was no longer the man who needed her affection to feel complete. This time, she would regret the way she had treated him.

"Maybe you're right," Ye Tian said, a glint of amusement in his eyes. "But this time, I'm no longer the man you once knew."

He took a step forward, and the air around him seemed to freeze, his aura shifting with the weight of his power, something Su Qingyue and her friends had no clue about. The crowd around them felt the change, but none could comprehend it.

Su Qingyue felt a chill crawl up her spine, her eyes widening for the briefest moment. There was something different about Ye Tian now—an aura of strength, something she couldn't quite put her finger on. But before she could react, she noticed Xiang Wei, the young man who had always been by her side, approaching her with a familiar arrogant grin.

"You're still wasting time with him?" Xiang Wei scoffed, looking Ye Tian up and down as if he were nothing but an insect beneath his boot.

Ye Tian's lips curled into a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "Don't worry, Wei. I'm not wasting my time with anyone anymore. This is just a little chat with an old friend."

The young man's face reddened, and his fists clenched, but he quickly held back his anger, not wanting to make a scene in front of Su Qingyue. He had no idea who Ye Tian had truly become.

Su Qingyue glanced between them, a bored look on her face as she turned away. "Whatever. I have better things to do than talk to trash like you."

Ye Tian stood tall as she walked away, her friends trailing behind her. They all left, not sparing him a second thought. But Ye Tian didn't care. The past life had taught him valuable lessons—strength and patience were everything.

The world would soon kneel before him.

He stood there, watching her leave, the chill of betrayal still fresh in his heart. This time, there would be no mercy. He would build his empire, rise to power, and show them all that the weak, insignificant boy they had mocked had returned not only as a tyrant, but as an immortal.

And as for Su Qingyue… she would be one of the first to regret treating him like trash.
