Chapter 1 - Realities, Blood and Wine

Markus stepped into a vast, void-like expanse where the darkness was interspersed with myriad flickering lights, each a gateway to a different reality. The space was silent and eerie, as if the Multiverse itself was holding its breath. The portal, a shimmering tapestry of cosmic hues, beckoned him forward, promising passage to unknown realms beyond the familiar fabric of his world.

Drawn by curiosity, Markus approached one particular light that radiated a soft, pinkish glow. Hovering before him was the digital readout of its reality: "Boku no Pico." Though he was not familiar with many of the Japanese anime and manga, this title struck him as yet another childish anime, an oddity that barely piqued his interest. With a dismissive huff, he allowed the orb to fade into the background, moving on to further examine others, maybe finds something familiar.

Taking a moment, Markus accessed his status page, his eyes scanning the detailed readout. His transformation into a Godling was now fully evident; each level up his new race granted him 30 points to each core attribute along with 20 free stat points. Evolved from the Ethereal Archon, the Godling represents the apex of mortal transcendence. No longer bound by the frailties of humanity, Godlings embody both divine presence and absolute mastery over arcane energies. His body shimmer with an inner light that hints at an otherworldly origin, and their senses are honed to detect even the faintest magical residue in the air. With every heartbeat, a Godling exudes a calm, yet commanding aura, as if he was the living embodiment of destiny itself. His eyes, radiant and penetrating, seem to peer into the very fabric of existence, granting him unparalleled insight into the flow of mana and fate.

As Markus absorbed the benefits of his ascension, his focus shifted to his Mana Body, a skill that had long been a cornerstone of his power. His Mana Body was primed for its next evolution. In a surge of concentrated energy, he initiated the transition, and his Mana Body evolved into Divine Reaper a fearsome fusion of Spiritual Body Manifestation, mastery over undead forces, and the fragments of the Most Brilliant Light.

Divine Reaper granted Markus the ability to shift between his physical form and an ethereal energy form at will. With this new skill, he enjoyed a 50% boost in HP, MP, and SP, along with a significant increase in regeneration rates. His elemental manipulation reached new heights, with the mana cost reduced by 25%, allowing him to channel devastating spells more efficiently. This evolution not only fortified his combat capabilities but also deepened his connection to the primordial forces of creation and destruction.

Eager to test his newfound power, Markus transformed into his Divine Reaper form. Clad in a tattered, shadowy robe that obscured much of his face and body, he felt a profound sense of liberation. In this state, he was intangible and immune to physical and 90% of magical attacks. His presence exuded an aura of otherworldly authority, a living testament to his mastery over life, death and magic. The transformation was as exhilarating as it was terrifying, and for a moment, he savored the feeling.

Satisfied with his metamorphosis, Markus once again accessed his status page to review the new parameters of his evolved state. The updated readout now listed his race as Godling. His Divine Reaper skill was detailed as follows: it provided a 50% increase in HP, MP, and SP, along with a 50% boost to regeneration rates, enhanced elemental mastery, and a 25% reduction in mana costs for spells. This new ability allowed him to switch forms seamlessly, making him a nearly invincible force on the battlefield.

Fate's Edict Description: Fate's Edict grants Markus the unparalleled ability to perceive and predict the unfolding of events with divine clarity. This potent skill allows him to foresee the outcomes of battles, the destinies of individuals, and even the future states of inanimate objects. By tapping into the underlying threads of fate,

Markus can discern the most probable future scenarios and, with a focused exertion of his will, subtly manipulate these events to his advantage. In practical terms, Fate's Edict enables him to receive detailed premonitions about incoming threats and opportunities, allowing for preemptive strategic maneuvers.

Whether on the battlefield, where he can anticipate enemy tactics and counter them before they are even executed, or in the realm of diplomacy and governance, where he can foresee the long-term impacts of decisions, this skill is both a shield and a sword. It affects not only living beings but also the structural integrity of objects, making it a comprehensive tool for altering the course of events. Beyond prediction, Fate's Edict allows Markus to temporarily alter probabilities, effectively nudging destiny in his favor. However, this manipulation comes at a significant mana cost and requires absolute precision, as even a slight miscalculation could result in unintended consequences. In essence, Fate's Edict marks Markus as a master of destiny a being who can bend the future to his will, ensuring that every action he takes reverberates through the fabric of reality.

Markus stepped forward, his eyes locked on the myriad shimmering orbs that floated like distant stars in the void between worlds. With Fate's Edict guiding his steps, he moved effortlessly from one orb to another, each one a portal to a reality. The power of destiny guided his steps as he assessed the energy signatures of each orb, their hues and radiances hinting at the lives and legends they harbored.

Among the dazzling array, one orb caught his attention, a metallic grey sphere that pulsed with a steady, enigmatic light. Unlike the others that shone with vibrant hues or faded into soft pastels, this orb radiated an aura of resolute determination and stark realism. Its surface was smooth, yet it seemed to hold a deep, unyielding history within its core.

Approaching the orb, letters began to appear, name of the world shows itself clearly. Drawing upon the insights granted by Fate's Edict, Markus approached the metallic grey orb with a mixture of curiosity and cold calculation. As he focused his heightened senses on its essence, images began to materialize in his mind. He saw sprawling landscapes, gritty cities, and hardy warriors clad in worn leather and steel, scenes unmistakably reminiscent of the world of The Witcher.

The visions grew clearer as Markus delved deeper into the orb's spectral depths. He saw monster hunters, sorceresses, and fabled beasts roaming rugged terrain, their struggles echoing the eternal conflict between man, elf, dwarf, monsters and the forces of wild hunt. Every detail spoke of a world forged in hardship and tempered by relentless battle, a world where survival was earned through grit and guile.

Fate's Edict, with its uncanny precision, confirmed Markus's assessment. The Witcher world, with its blend of myth and grim reality, held the potential to be the most beneficial new journey for him. It promised entertainment that will let him use his abilities to his heart's content, offering fertile ground for his ever expanding power and the refinement of his necrotic and arcane arts.

A slow, satisfied smile crept across Markus's face as he contemplated the strategic advantages of entering this new realm. The Witcher world was renowned for its volatile magic, perilous monsters, and complex politics, all elements that would serve to both entertain and ultimately empower him.

Markus stepped through the portal and emerged into the lush, vibrant realm of Toussaint a land that seemed to pulse with life and mystery. The air was perfumed with a heady blend of wildflowers and ripening grapes, and the distant hum of pastoral music mingled with the rustle of leaves. As he took a deep, deliberate breath, his lungs filled with the essence of this new reality, and he felt an exhilarating surge of vitality. He choose Toussaint especially for the clear difference between this land of blood and wine and the the other "shitholes" quoting from an orange president. When compared to Pontar Valley, Temeria, Skellige or Novigrad Toussaint was a heaven.

Almost immediately, the scientist in Markus's mind began to question the nature of his journey. The incongruity of seamlessly transitioning between worlds defied all logic he once knew. Was this phenomenon driven by the same forces that birthed the countless sci-fi and fantasy works of his original world? He pondered whether the root of all these fantastical creations was not pure wonder but a profound, almost primal, fear of isolation in an indifferent universe.

In his ruminations, Markus recalled the concept of the Fermi Paradox, a puzzle that has long haunted the realms of science and philosophy. The paradox poses a simple yet disquieting question: given the vastness of the universe and the high probability of extraterrestrial life, why is there a conspicuous absence of contact or evidence of such civilizations? For Markus, this riddle underscored the dark irony that perhaps the fantasy worlds he once admired were born not of boundless hope, but of the deep seated terror of being utterly alone.

The weight of these reflections was both humbling and invigorating. As Markus moved deeper into Toussaint, he felt the dual pull of intellectual curiosity and an innate desire to master the forces of creation and destruction. Every sensation the taste of the cool, crisp air, the sound of distant laughter, the sight of golden fields stretching towards a radiant horizon reminded him that this world was as real as it was fantastical.

Markus activated his invisibility and unfurled his six obsidian-black celestial wings, the very embodiment of his transcendent power. With a single, concentrated thought, he levitated effortlessly above the chaos of the battlefield, his form melding with the shadows as he set his sights on a new destination, Beauclair.

During his flight, Markus's eyes gleamed with mischievous determination. As he drifted over the opulent landscapes and winding streets, his heightened senses picked up the wealth and opportunity. With practiced precision, he activated his telekinetic grip to pluck coins and valuables from the pockets of unsuspecting nobles and travelers alike. The act was almost an art form swift, silent, and executed with the arrogance of one who had transcended mortal concerns.

The spoils he gathered were not for greed; they were the means to secure his stay in a high quality inn. The timeline Markus entered was intricately woven with the middle of the narrative of Witcher 2 a dark, brooding chapter in the saga of Geralt of Rivia. At this very moment in this world, Geralt grapples with assassins, Elves, deep political intrigue and brutal conflict, caught in the crossfire of warring factions and supernatural forces that threaten to engulf the land. Betrayal, shifting alliances, and the ceaseless struggle for power define this grim era, as heroes and villains alike navigate a treacherous landscape where morality is as murky as the blood stained soil.

Arriving in Beauclair, Markus found himself immersed in a realm of refined opulence and covert machinations. The city, with its towering spires and gilded halls, was a stark contrast to the chaos of his previous battlegrounds. Here, the elites reveled in luxury and power, their every gesture calculated to secure their dominance over the realm. Markus, blended seamlessly into this high society, his dark presence cloaked by the veneer of aristocratic sophistication. He has already copied the the languages of Ofiri, Nilfgaardian and Common Speech all from the nobles.

In the midst of political intrigue and clandestine plots, Markus used his newly acquired wealth to secure lavish accommodations and establish connections with influential nobles. As the night deepened, Markus sat in the private quarters of his newly secured residence, reflecting on the journey that had led him here.
