Light filtered down, reflecting off the drinking glasses, to the wall, to the clear glass lights above, each step ringing true on the clear glass, beveled floor. A full testament to the Chinese Supreme Leader's daughter, who happened to be born with glass as her fusion. It was only in the upper ranks of tier 3, but she was 80% fused, so she was a genius nevertheless.
Her father was a rare, tier 2, diamond fusion. Some people laughed at him for marrying a tier 3 wife, to get such a daughter, but in exchange, he had built this grand hall, a testament to honor her and show off just how strong he and China was, that they need not force themselves into an unwanted marriage or 'breed like american cattle' as he had stated, almost starting a war…well, he was still the same now, Lysa shook her head, trying not to chuckle, any slight on her own father was good fun for her.
Her father hadn't looked at her once since they'd entered, he almost never looked at her, except when he had to, not even when he showered her with gifts. Her gaze upwards toward him turned bitter. She always considered that if she had found her object to fuse to, he might have cared…
Afterall, some, like her, never found what they were fused to. Either because it wasn't invented yet, or because it was too rare, or across the world from where they lived. About 18% of the population was like this. And she, unluckily, stood as one of them.
"Alright, father, I'm going to go off then…" she suggested, unwrapping her hand from his arm, but he captured it, his strong grip clamping it to his arm preventing her from slipping away.
"Follow me for a little longer, just to greet them." He didn't look at her, his voice was gentle. He rarely commanded her to do anything, since he knew she hated being told what to do, but…if only he knew that looking at her would be enough for her to do anything for him. She bit her lip a little.
"Fine." She grumbled. They had reached the Supreme Leader's table, he stood up to greet them, she flashed a smile, as Americans, they bowed to no one, but she could still be polite.
However, right as the Supreme Leader opened his mouth, suddenly, from above, a shattering sound could be heard. She whirled around to witness a sight….thousands of shards of glass descended from above, light reflecting off them in prisms, it was beautiful, but as they fell, they cut into the flesh of those present who couldn't defend themselves, spraying blood across the floors. People cried out, screaming started, as three figures descended with the glass shards.
"Li Rong!" The man in front, clothed completely in white chuckled, lightly stepping forward, he smiled provocatively. "You think you can have such a lavish party while I'm still alive???"
Her father glared at the people, then at the supreme leader, opening his palm to arrogantly drop all the shards that would have landed on him and his daughter. He could only control around 25 cm of space, unlike the other, but his control had always been immaculate. His meaning was clear: you caused this, you resolve it, supreme leader.
Li Rong was not happy. This was worse than it should have been. First, a powerful spy snuck into their closed off city, then, his old enemies suddenly resurfaced? Was something up? He stepped forward.
"Lin Bo, aren't you a bit late, if you wanted to get revenge, why wait till you're a half-foot in the grave to come out?" His hand gestured, and several guards surrounded the three trespassers.
One standing behind him, was in a large trench coat. The man in white, with white hair, seemingly too much so for his age, in his early 50s, smirked at him. "You think I came alone?"
The man behind him stepped out, he opened his trench coat, and drew too large ARs, lifting them up, as four men leapt at them.
"What!-" This greatly shocked Li Rong. "Jaleel Nazzal! Since when did you work for Lin Bo?!"
The man in the trench coat, glanced up from under his hat for a moment, flashed his golden tooth, as his fingers clenched, suddenly the hall erupted with noise, casing flew outward, and the men attacking them, almost died on the spot, one of them, hit directly in the forehead, however, the bullets all bounced off, ricocheting across the room, metal plates protecting his subordinates in the most lethal areas, as Li Rong flew forward, leaping into the sky, a diamond gauntlet forming over his hand as he did so.
Lin Bo's skin suddenly faded to pure white, hair sprouting from his skin, with black stripes, a tail came out, his arms and legs formed into claws, his clothes disappeared, and a tiger, twice the size of a normal one, stood before them, when he growled, the floor shook a little, racing towards him, unafraid, despite the sharp diamonds forming out of the air in front, with his superior strength and instincts, he caught sight of the shards forming ahead of time, dodging nimbly as he charged.
However, Li Rong wasn't afraid of him, although he was one of the stronger ones, he was still just a tier 4 fusion warrior, the real problem was the man behind him. Jaleel Nazzal. He was supposed to be in the Middle East/African union, last spotted in the Americas, what was he doing here? He was a tier 2 fusion warrior, a monster of a man, able to create bullets out of thin air, of any size, up to the size of almost a missile. The more complicated your fusion power was, the less control you had over what you form with it, however, it was also easier and faster to create it in this world, thus, he needed less than a breath to create over 5 bullets, the only thing that held him back was the speed the gun could fire. He could also supply his allies with bullets almost endlessly. He was a massacring legend in large-scale war.
"Head out." She didn't need to be told twice, Lysa instantly exited the scene, along with her father to make it more reasonable, walking pristinely the whole way, as if so confident they had not intention to teleport.
She glanced up to see her father grit his teeth, but he never turned to glared down at her as if she wasn't enough. He was always like this, he never blamed her for being fusionless, he never scolded her, he never made her wear anything special…the most he'd done was force her to dye her hair since they couldn't replicate her naturally blond hair on the other very well. But why…why didn't he ever look at her? Why did he make a copy of her with powers? Was she worthless in his eyes?

In the depths of a facility, underground, only three blocks from the glass hall where the 'dinner' was held, a man knelt, in an empty room, surrounded by thick steel. He knelt there, chained to the ground, clothed in mostly black, two chains went out from his arms, a large steel choker weighed down his neck, chained to the floor. His hair had grown longer, almost past the nape of his neck, from the time he'd been down there, stuck in the darkness. Only attended to to relieve himself or eat.
However, today, he suddenly heard a different sound. It was no beep of a gate opening, nor the calm step of a guard, but instead loud crashing and destruction could be heard, as doors were wrenched off their hinges, he listened in glee, with his superior hearing, as bones crushed, flung against walls, men split in two, blood trailing out of their split bodies.
Suddenly, his own prison door coughed, a curved blade whipped into it, splitting it apart, and a woman kicked her way inside. She was also cloaked in black, but she slung around two curved blades, licking the blood from her lips excitedly, as she came forward to stand before him. Glanced at the enhanced chains, and the drugged individual, she simply clicked her tongue, and her blades fell, severing the steel in half, without struggle, before finally releasing his neck as well.
"..."
She could see his questioning gaze, unable to speak due to the drugs.
"We have a very effective distraction this time, there were only tier 3 and 4 guarding in here due to it, and of them, no one surpassed 30%."
He nodded, letting her pull him up to hold over her shoulder.
"Did we leave you in here too long Shadow Leader? I hope not~"
The man grunted, gripping her shoulder in response. And she smirked, heading out, as her fellow helpers cleared the way back to the surface, disappearing with them.

"If you keep banging yourself against that, you're gonna lose your mind faster than me~" teased Lin Shu to the old man. It hadn't taken long before the old man had gotten annoyed by his yapping and had decided to start punching the vine wall, as if to break it. It wasn't very effective. "Didn't you hear that repeating the same action over and over expecting a different result is a sign of insanity?"
However, at Lin Shu's tease, he finally quit. "You asked for this, kiddo." He growled, coming over to stand below Lin Shu again, and reaching out his hand, suddenly Lin Shu was cast into another scene.
Suddenly, he was back in his world, but he wasn't even a human, he was an ant, serving his queen, dying after some random human happened to step on him, unable to escape. After he died, he was cast again into the past, as a great emperor, able to rule his people, have great riches, but he was murdered by his trusted brother, and the kingdom continued to prosper after him. He was finally put into another world, as an alien general, forced to watch his men die, in a war effort that was futile, but unable to back down. He was another kind of alien, this time, he was facing the old man as a helpless child, he felt himself disappear in the old man's mist, drowned…no, slowly evaporated away. Then he was a sick animal, with a broken back, barely able to scrounge food for itself, fighting against nature, finally dying in futility. And so it went, on and on, as Lin Shu lived several lives, died thousands of times, and slowly, began to forget…who Lin Shu was.
No. I am Lin Shu. he kept repeating his mind, over and over, no matter the body, the world, the intelligence of the creature. Lin Shu. What is Lin Shu? Lin Shu is Lin Shu. He took over another body called Lin Shu. This man was very different from himself, he was diligent, hard working, he took care of his parents in their old age. But no, that wasn't him, he was who he was. He was Lin Shu, that was the name, yes, but the thing he was was what he was. Tears fell down from his cheeks on his mortal body, as his eyes were stuck closed, stuck in other worlds, as other creatures.

"So, why'd you send her back?" Asked the man, once again clothed in blue, watching her move the granite sacks instead.
She shook her head. "We already have been here too long for what we were supposed to, and she can't disappear off the face of the planet."
"...and you can?" He asked, curiously.
She finally looked back at him, lounging about. "If you want to ask questions, at least have the decency to help out!"
