Jeanne moved like lightning, closing the distance between them in an instant. Her banner swung in a wide arc, divine energy crackling around it.
Goku raised his arm—
CLANG!
The impact sent a shockwave through the battlefield.
He barely budged.
Jeanne's eyes widened slightly. Not even a step back…?
Goku whistled. "Wow! You're way stronger than you look!"
She didn't let up. Spinning on her heel, she swung again—this time, feinting before thrusting her banner toward his chest.
BOOM!
The strike landed. Dust exploded around them.
For a moment, silence.
Then—Goku's voice. "That was a nice hit!"
The dust cleared.
He stood there, completely unharmed.
Jeanne's grip on her banner tightened.
Mordred, watching from the sidelines, crossed her arms. "Yep. Called it."
Jeanne didn't waver. She stepped back, raising her hand toward the heavens. Light gathered at her fingertips.
"Luminosité Eternelle!"
A radiant barrier erupted around her, divine energy surging outward in a wave meant to purify all evil.
Goku felt the energy wash over him—warm, powerful, and… gentle?
He blinked. "Oh, that's kinda nice." He stretched his arms, yawning. "Feels like I just took a bath or somethin'."
Jeanne lowered her arm, slightly taken aback. He wasn't affected at all?
The purification power of her Noble Phantasm had driven back countless curses, demons, and even corrupt Servants. Yet this man simply stood there, unfazed.
Mordred laughed. "Hah! That's hilarious!"
Goku rubbed the back of his head. "So… are we still fightin', or…?"
Jeanne took a deep breath.
She wasn't foolish. She could see the truth. This man—this Saiyan—was far beyond what even the greatest Servants could handle.
And yet, he was not an enemy.
She lowered her banner.
"…No," she said at last. "This battle is pointless."
Goku blinked. "Wait, really?"
Jeanne nodded. "You do not seek the Grail. You are not driven by hatred or malice. There is no reason for us to fight."
Goku thought for a moment. Then he smiled. "Yeah, I guess you're right. I just like fightin' strong people."
He crossed his arms. "Buuuut, if you guys ever wanna spar, just let me know!"
Mordred groaned. "Oh, for the love of—"
Jeanne sighed, rubbing her temple. "What are we supposed to do with you…?"
The Holy Grail War had changed forever.
And no one—not even the Grail itself—knew what would happen next.
