Just as Russell was debating whether to save Jasper, Allen had already transformed, looking eager and excited...
Noticing this, Russell warned, "Be careful, don't get careless!"
After being thoroughly beaten by Russell once, Allen had unconsciously started treating Russell as his superior.
So, even though he was itching to fight, he had to wait for Russell's permission before he could actually make a move.
Just as Allen finished transforming, the rampaging mutated Jack noticed his presence.
However, the sight of Allen, now a green mini-Hulk, only made Jack pause for a brief moment.
Although the mutated Jack seemed completely out of control, he had not actually lost his mind. He still retained some of his original thoughts.
And among the few remaining shreds of his rationality, a significant portion was consumed by his hatred for Russell.
Even though Jack had mutated, his hatred for Russell hadn't disappeared, it had only grown stronger.
If it weren't for Russell, he wouldn't have turned into this monstrous form. He wouldn't have become the very thing he once despised, a mutated superhuman.
The root cause of all this was the black-haired Asian kid standing next to Allen, the one he found increasingly detestable.
"Aaaahhhh!!!"
Jack let out a roar, then charged at Russell like an enraged elephant.
As Jack ran, the ground seemed to tremble slightly, and his massive body completely blocked the corridor.
Facing the charging mutated Jack, Allen, now a green mini-Hulk, was the first to step forward only to be effortlessly swatted aside.
The larger the creature, the greater its strength... this was a universal fact.
And the mutated Jack was the perfect embodiment of unstoppable force.
Allen, who had been easily sent flying, only managed to stabilize himself after crashing into a wall. He shook his head, trying to clear the dizziness.
With just a single collision, Jack had demonstrated his overwhelming power, sending a wave of tension through everyone present.
If even Allen in his transformed state couldn't withstand Jack's strength, who in the base could possibly stop him?
Russell's overall combat ability might be stronger than Allen's, but that was only because of his superior combat experience and instincts.
In terms of pure physical strength, Russell was the weakest of the three Abomination soldiers.
Russell turned to Heather and Wilson, "Head to the training field. This place is too small for a fight!"
"The training field? Won't that give him even more freedom to move?"
Wilson wasn't a fighter, so he couldn't understand why Russell would abandon the advantageous terrain here and choose the training field, which would only benefit Jack.
The mutated Jack's massive size made the normal corridors a significant constraint for him.
"This place isn't suitable for him nor for us!"
Russell briefly answered Wilson's question, then led the way to the training field.
On the way, Russell grabbed Jasper Sitwell and dragged him along.
As Russell grabbed him, Jasper immediately shouted, trying to use his authority to command Russell to escort him to safety, "What are you doing? I order you to let go and escort me out of here! That's an order, soldier!"
Annoyed, Russell's response to Jasper's shouting was, "Shut up if you want to live!"
Still, to prevent Jasper from continuing to make noise, Russell delivered a swift chop to the back of his neck, effectively knocking him out cold.
Once they reached the training field, Russell casually tossed the unconscious Jasper aside and walked to the center.
The training field was still in the same state as before, with broken crates and walls everywhere, and even the bloodstains from Russell's previous injuries hadn't been cleaned.
"Looks like this is where it ends..."
After arriving at the training field, Russell took off his jacket, stretched his limbs, and quietly waited for the mutated Jack to arrive.
Allen, Heather, and the others soon arrived at the training field as well, along with Dr. Wilson and the remaining Hydra soldiers.
There were still about twenty or thirty soldiers, but most of them were injured. Even if they weren't, they posed no threat to a mutated Jack.
Aside from the soldiers, Allen and Heather also couldn't do much damage to Jack.
Neither of them had completed their combat training, and relying solely on their instincts, they stood no chance against their grotesque foe.
Whether it was combat experience, instincts, or enhanced physical abilities, they were far inferior to Jack.
Knowing this, Russell glanced at his juniors and said, "This is a personal grudge between him and me. You two don't need to interfere, just cheer me on from the sidelines."
Allen and Heather had initially planned to assist Russell, but his words completely dispelled that notion.
Still, even though Russell intended to deal with the mutated Jack alone, he wasn't entirely confident of victory.
But in a fight, anything was possible.
If you only acted when you were absolutely certain of success, where was the fun in life?
Crushing weak opponents might bring satisfaction, but it couldn't compare to the honor of defeating a strong adversary.
Russell didn't have to wait long. Although the mutated Jack had some difficulty navigating the corridors, he eventually made it to the training field.
Like an enraged beast, Jack leaped out of the training field's entrance and landed heavily in the center.
"Kill... you!" Perhaps due to his mutation, Jack's ability to speak seemed impaired. His words sounded more like a low growl than actual speech.
"Come at me if you dare, you MUTATED FREAK!" Russell deliberately used the term 'mutated freak' to mock Jack, who had once harbored extreme hatred for superhumans.
'You looked down on superhumans, didn't you? You despised them, didn't you? You hated them, didn't you?'
'And now, you've become the very thing you despised and looked down upon. You're nothing but an arrogant waste and a pathetic piece of trash!'
As expected, upon hearing the term 'mutated freak', the already furious Jack became even more enraged.
His fists, each larger than Russell's waist, pounded the ground in a chaotic frenzy, like an angry gorilla, creating deep craters in the ground.
"I will... kill... you!"
