Chapter 11 - The Road to Power

After returning home, Rehan immediately logged into the Warrior Alliance Network to purchase a sword. His previous weapon was merely a standard issue from the alliance, sufficient for the test but inadequate for future battles. Now that he had earned nearly 200,000 credits, he could afford something better.

Browsing through the marketplace, Rehan filtered his search for A-grade weapons within his budget. A list of various swords appeared, but his eyes locked onto one that caught his interest—the Shadow Fang.

Shadow Fang - A-Grade SwordLength: 1.2 metersWeight: 9 kgMaterial: Star Iron infused with Shadow SilverFeatures: Extremely sharp edge, lightweight yet durable, slightly increases user speed due to Shadow Silver's natural energy conductivity.

The sword was priced at 150,000 credits, leaving him with only 45,000 credits remaining. But Rehan didn't hesitate—he clicked Buy immediately. A drone delivery system ensured the weapon would arrive within an hour.

While waiting, Rehan sat back and reflected on the fights earlier in the day. His mind naturally drifted towards the Sword Speed Technique he was learning. The first level of the technique had doubled his attack speed, and now he was preparing for the next level. But then a crazy thought entered his mind.

"The technique enhances sword speed by stimulating the nervous system... But what if I apply it to my running speed instead? Won't I become way faster than others?"

His heart pounded as the idea took root. If he could pull this off, his movement speed would increase just like his attacks. That alone would make him a terrifying force on the battlefield.

Before he could test the theory, a loud beep sounded from his door. His Shadow Fang had arrived. He took the package inside, unwrapping it carefully. The moment he grasped the sword's hilt, a cold sensation spread through his fingers. The weapon was perfectly balanced, its sleek black blade reflecting the dim light of his room. He grinned.

"This... is a real warrior's sword."

After admiring his new weapon, Rehan turned his focus to his power progression. The battles had accelerated his growth—his raw physical strength had already reached 31 tons, meaning he was just shy of level 4.

His spirit power amplification had also increased, allowing him to multiply his strength by seven times, pushing him beyond 217 tons of force. That was the peak of a level 6 warrior!

But there was something else he wanted to test.

"If I can control one object and amplify my power seven times… what if I control multiple objects at once?"

Theoretically, if he could control five weapons, he could achieve 35 times his base power—but he quickly realized this was against the laws of nature. His current limit was still seven times, whether he controlled one or multiple objects.

"Maybe in the future, if I refine my control, I can surpass this limit... but for now, seven times is enough."

He then attempted something crazy—sword flight.

He had read many ancient cultivation novels  which came from before apocalyptic period where sword immortals flew using their weapons. Now, with his spirit energy, he decided to give it a try.

He placed his new Shadow Fang on the ground, infused spirit energy, and stepped onto it. At first, he wobbled, nearly falling face-first, but after multiple tries, he finally managed to balance himself.

Slowly, he levitated.

Then, he increased his speed.

"350 meters per second... Faster than my running speed!"

The thrill of flight sent excitement coursing through his veins. From this moment on, he had mastered another deadly advantage.

After finishing his training, Rehan knew his next priority—reaching level 4.

He sat cross-legged and started circulating his breathing technique. The cosmic energy in the air surged into his body, strengthening his muscles, bones, and spirit power.

Hours passed

His mind was immersed in the energy flow. But something was different today—after fighting so much, his absorption rate had increased.

After full night of practicing he went to fresh up and had his breakfast with his family. It was a lively environment . Rehan swore to himself that he will do anything to protect this happiness.

"Time for a hunting trip"

After breakfast, Rehan headed straight for the city gate. The guards checked his pass, and he stepped into the wilderness.

For four hours, he focused on level 2 and level 3 monsters, efficiently killing:

50 level 2 monsters7 level 3 monsters

His earnings? 320,000 credits.

This process repeated for ten straight days—every day, he hunted monsters, fought at his limit, and pushed himself further. He perfected the second level of his Sword Speed Technique, increasing his attack speed threefold.

By the end of the tenth day, he had accumulated a total of 4 million credits.

It was time to purchase his ultimate weapon.

But before that he felt a break though. So he sat crossed legged and start the breathing technique. And then he felt some shackles had been broken in his body. Now he was level 4 warrior. It was crazy. After only practicing for 1 month and 10 days he reached level 4. If others knew, it would create a sensation globally.

His strength had increased significantly, and so had his spirit control—he could now control six objects simultaneously. But more importantly, his spirit power amplification had increased to eight times!

Now, his total power reached 320 tons, making him stronger than a mid-level Level 7 warrior.

But he needed more resources. His credits were running low again, and he needed flying knives to further strengthen his spirit control.

Rehan returned home and immediately browsed the Warrior Alliance Network.

This time, his target was A-grade flying knives. After carefully analyzing the options, he found a set that suited his needs.

A-Grade Flying Knives (Set of 10)Material: Star Iron + Meteorite AlloyDurability: Can harm Level 7 beastsWeight: 2.5 kg eachPrice: 3 million credits

"Perfect."

He purchased them without hesitation. His remaining balance was now 1 million credits, but he didn't care. These weapons would allow him to dominate future battles.

When the delivery arrived, Rehan held one of the knives in his hand, feeling its perfect balance and deadly sharpness.

"With these, I can unleash my true potential..."

Gripping the knife tightly, he grinned.

The real hunt was just beginning.
