Vir was getting seriously annoyed on this journey.
Sometimes, he really wanted to just knock Luffy out and drag him behind the bike…
As he drove, Vir began analyzing the situation.
His weakest attribute—physical strength—had improved significantly.
Now, he was confident that he could defeat Crocodile.
Maybe even crush him in a one-sided victory.
After all, this power-up was no joke.
Next stop: full throttle to Alubarna. This scorching journey was about to end!
First, he'd drop Luffy off near Zoro. Timing was crucial, and he didn't need to engage his own allies too early.
The primary target is the enemy.
If this wave of enemies isn't dealt with, they'll all end up in prison, and he wouldn't get another chance.
So, rescue the enemies first!
But not all enemies are worth saving. Not everyone deserves his intervention.
Zoro's opponent, in particular, caught Vir's interest.
Mr. 1—the man with the Supa Supa no Mi (Dice-Dice Fruit), able to turn his body into steel.
A crucial opponent for Zoro's growth.
Also, the only small fry Vir deemed worth treating.
At their breakneck speed, the shadow of the grand city soon appeared ahead.
Vir began slowing down.
From a distance, he could already see thick black smoke rising.
The sound of cannon fire echoed in the air.
The battle had begun.
Vir, Luffy, and Chopper sped through the chaotic streets, weaving toward the royal palace.
The outer streets were completely deserted.
Their bike roared ahead, maintaining high speed.
But just then—a bridge in front of them suddenly shattered into countless tiny fragments!
Vir immediately hit the brakes.
They all turned their attention forward.
There stood a well-built, bald man.
And in front of him, buried in the rubble, was a faint glimpse of green.
"Zoro! That's Zoro!"
Luffy shouted just as Zoro struggled to rise from the debris.
But his appearance made Luffy's eyes widen.
His entire body was covered in deep, precise cuts.
Fresh blood trickled from his wounds.
Even so, he stood.
He glanced at Luffy but said nothing, just breathing heavily.
Their battle was nearing its climax.
Luffy knew this was Zoro's fight—he couldn't interfere.
But the worry in his eyes was unmistakable.
"Head to the palace. With me here, he won't die."
Vir's voice broke through Luffy's hesitation.
Luffy froze for a moment, then, without another thought, sprinted toward the palace.
Vir's strength and medical skills were more than enough to set Luffy's mind at ease.
"I'm counting on you, Vir!"
Luffy's voice echoed as he ran off.
Meanwhile, Mr. 1 sneered at Vir's arrival and turned back to Zoro.
"So, you called for backup? Hah! It doesn't matter how many come—the outcome won't change!"
Hearing that, Zoro let out a chuckle.
Mr. 1 narrowed his eyes in confusion as Zoro spoke.
"If he steps in, you'll die in one move."
Mr. 1 stiffened, his eyes now wary as they shifted toward Vir.
But Vir merely leaned against his motorbike, watching coldly.
If it weren't for the little reindeer keychain hanging from his handlebars, the scene would've been quite cool.
"Relax. He won't interfere. Beating you… I can do that myself."
Zoro's words dispelled Mr. 1's doubts. He took a deep breath, steadying his stance.
His heavy breathing slowed.
"Such arrogance!"
Enraged, Mr. 1 charged at Zoro, blades gleaming.
Vir knew—the fight was about to end.
Just as Mr. 1's steel blade was about to decapitate Zoro—
Zoro's eyes snapped open!
A flash of understanding burned within them.
His sword emitted an indescribable aura.
In the next instant, he lunged forward—
Their figures blurred as they crossed paths.
A flash of steel.
Silence.
No sound of metal clashing.
*Splurt!*
Blood gushed from Mr. 1's chest.
For the first time, his steel body had been cut.
The crimson spray shot high into the air.
Mr. 1 collapsed.
Zoro, too, could no longer stand and fell to the ground.
"Time to work."
Vir muttered, bringing Chopper over to Zoro's side.
He tossed Chopper down and pointed at Zoro. "Give him emergency treatment. Just keep him alive—I'll do the rest later."
With that, Vir walked toward Mr. 1.
"Where are you going?" Chopper asked, confused.
"To save a life."
"In my eyes, there are only patients, not enemies."
Chopper froze at Vir's words, staring at his determined back.
Was this the level of a true doctor?
I still have so much to learn…
Even Zoro's gaze toward Vir turned to one of admiration.
A doctor like this was rare in this world.
Vir crouched beside Mr. 1 and flipped him over.
Three deep, intersecting wounds slashed across his chest, revealing bone.
Blood kept pouring out.
Despite the pain, Mr. 1's gaze held nothing but respect as he looked at Vir.
A true doctor.
Vir ignored him and got to work.
He pulled out… a brick.
Mr. 1 looked confused.
Before he could react, Vir swung it down hard on his forehead.
Mr. 1's eyes widened in horror.
THUD!
A sharp pain exploded in his skull—but strangely, there was no wound.
[Anesthetic Brick]
Effect: Striking a defenseless target will induce "anesthetic" status.
Anesthetic status: Conscious mind, paralyzed body.
Price: 2,000 Points.
Vir had spent a fortune on this item.
But since it was reusable, it was worth the cost.
Now that Mr. 1 was immobilized, all that was left was stopping the bleeding, stitching him up, and bandaging him.
Vir took out a rusty needle and a bundle of makeshift stitching thread.
Under Mr. 1's horrified gaze, he reached for the wound.
[Ding! Congratulations, Host, for obtaining 200 Negative Points.]
So little? Figures. Mr. 1 was strong but not a major player.
As Vir touched the wound, something felt off.
A rib was displaced—not broken, just misaligned.
"Tch. Annoying."
Vir sighed, slipping on his bacteria-covered "sterile" gloves.
Without hesitation, he reached inside Mr. 1's chest cavity.
Mr. 1's mind shattered.
He took it back—this guy wasn't a doctor! He was a butcher! An absolute quack!
What kind of medical tools were these?!
Vir grasped the misaligned rib.
Bro! What are you doing?!
Mr. 1's eyes were filled with sheer panic.
*CRACK!*
Not broken—just reset perfectly in place.
Mr. 1's expression twisted in utter disbelief.
He could do nothing but feel everything, a hand, moving his rib.
This feeling…
The rest was simple.
Disinfect, stitch, bandage.
The full treatment was complete in no time.
Though… the tools were probably a bit tetanus-inducing.
